The following year he was joined by Dr. Benjamin Blair, who had just completed an orthopaedic spine surgery fellowship. This allowed us to provide expert comprehensive care in general, trauma, sports medicine, neck and back orthopaedic surgery. With Dr. Wathne focusing on shoulder and knee surgery to include arthroscopic reconstructions, rotator cuff repair, ACL, and total joint replacements. In 2005, Pocatello Orthopaedics welcomed Jeffrey Bray, DPM. The addition of Dr. Bray to our practice allowed us to offer podiatric care to the community.

Richard Wathne was born and raised in New Jersey. He attended Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and received a BS degree in biology, graduating magna cum laude. He was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He received his MD degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. In 1989 to 1990 he performed his surgical internship at New York University/Bellvue Hospital in New York City.
Our team has over 70 years of sports medicine experience, more than any group in Southeast Idaho. Our physicians are committed to the care and treatment of the weekend warrior, the athlete at any level, and the prevention of injuries. We offer Tenex Health TX Systems to our patients with chronic shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle, and foot pain.
Brent Faure spent 31 years working as a teacher and athletic trainer prior to joining Pocatello Orthopaedics as a full time athletic trainer. In 2013, Faure was the first athletic trainer named to the IHSAA Hall of Fame. In addition to working in the clinic assisting Dr. Wathne and Dr. Joseph, Fraure will coordinate the sports medicine coverage for all of School District 25. "Quincy" will also serve as the head athletic trainer for Highland High School.Caroline Faure is a professor at Idaho State University and is most known for her work with concussion identification and management.
