Best care in and around Madison/Nashville for children. With not only kind compassionate and caring pediatricians their whole staff is just wonderful! Been using the same pediatrician through 2 generations in our family, couldn't ask for a better Pediatrician especially for my only child they're hands down and the best around! If you're needing a good doctor for your little one try them you won't be disappointed.

-At 14 months old our first visit with Dr. Patterson and she tried to retract our intact son, that's a HUGE DON'T. We switched Dr's but stayed at this practice. -At 24 months old Dr Hunley tested my son's iron level because I said he drank 2-3 (6-8)oz cups of milk but didn't necessarily finish the entire cup and she said he could have low iron with that much milk because he might not be eating enough.
Iron levels were fine and per research that amount of milk is fine, as that's how I knew how much to give him in the first place. -At 24 months old Dr Hunley tested my daughter for heavy metals because I was concerned she had an infatuation with lotion and toothpaste bottles. We didn't let her eat the contents yet she felt the need to test her. She too was fine.
My concerns were because of sensory seeking behaviors which Dr. Hunley disregarded and focused on the potential ingestion. We now have the therapy to help her not because of Dr Hunley. - My children throw tantrums at doctor appts. They are both 2 and feed off one another, we don't use tablets, they aren't used to public places due to pandemic so they only go to the doctors office where they usually get shots, tests in nose, and blood drawn so they naturally throw tantrums out of fear and being confined to a small room for a long period of time (two visits in one).
After a tantrum I was given a brochure on disciplining children (with outdated time out methods at that). Not a discussion, not a milestone sheet, just sent home with it. And this was the last straw. -My son coughed for 3 months and I took him to Dr Hunley two times with concerns. She said it's allergies both times, prescribes steroids with Claritin (which didn't work) and doesn't test for anything.
I was diagnosed with whooping cough shortly after even with the vaccine a year before. She questions why I'd be tested, questions why I want them tested without symptoms, and questions if I was actually tested because she doesn't understand why they would test for whooping cough. A month of fatigue and coughing is why so my Dr did a full work up. She tests them because I say I won't leave without a test.
No preventative antibiotics are given. She says when and if they show symptoms or if they test positive, which she says they probably won't since they were vaccinated (I'm point in case why that statement isn't true) she'll give them antibiotics. No acknowledgement that I probably got it from my son who suffered undiagnosed by her for 3 months. After I sent links of CDC guidelines stating all exposed people in the household should take preventative antibiotics and that I wanted a script for both my children sent to our pharmacy that day, she then calls and says "that's a good idea, I read up on whooping cough and it's really bad and it is suggested to give preventative antibiotics." -WHOOPING COUGH IS A DANGEROUS DISEASE FOR CHILDREN THAT YOU SHOULD ALREADY BE KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT - TESTING WHEN SHE BELIEVES I'M DOING THE WRONG THING BUT DOESN'T TEST WHEN THERE'S A VALID CONCERN -OUTDATED INFORMATION WITH RETRACTION AND TIME-OUTS I do not recommend this practice and encourage being advocates for your children.

I hate to be so negative, but this is a big deal. We specifically asked them not to give a specific vaccine to our son. We only requested one and it was very clear what we wanted. As we were signing papers at the end of the appointment, we noticed he received a 3-in-1 shot which we specifically asked them not to do. They had no excuse and barely an apology. We didn't sue for malpractice because honestly, it's not going to help anything. But PLEASE consider strongly before you bring your child here.

Both of my girls are patients of doctor Patterson since 2012. My teenage and toddler girls are always in the best hands. The staff of Goodlettsville Pediatrics is AMAZING. From the doctors to the wonderful ladies at the front desk and all in between. Super easy to get appointments. They always answer ALL my questions (and I ask everything!). They LISTEN to you and embrace different cultures and life styles. My concerns and my children's health are always taken care of immediately, professionally and extremely accurately. I could not ask for more.

We moved to the area in 2014 and have been happy with this office. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We've had 3 experiences with their fast track for sick visits, and they've been great. We get right in and out, and they even have a dispensary for medications right on site. That is wonderful, so you don't have to take the kids' prescriptions to an outside pharmacy and wait for it to be filled. My kids see Dr. Heather Johnson, and she is fantastic! I highly recommend her and this office!

We LOVE this place! I have had the privilege of being both a patient and now the parent of two patients! My children like to go to the doctor and I like to go because they know me and treat us like family. The doctors make it their priority to really get to know their patients and their families. The nurses and the staff are excellent and go out of their way to make each visit as smooth as possible.
