I went there for surgery last year because they found something on my bladder when they did a scan due to a gallbladder attack in the ER. It was an over scan and Dr. Smith was my urologist he did not do any more radiology. Having said that he went and scheduled surgery and there was nothing there so I was put under for new reason. Due to his lack of incompetence. I went today to have a DNC and they knocked my Front bottom tooth loose when I was incubated. I can't catch a break dealing with this hospital.

The rating for this hospital is a negative. I never spend time on writing reviews but this experience was awful. The physicians and nurses are completely incompetent. My fiance had a bad case of food poisoning and was vomiting from noon to 10pm. I finally was able to convince him to go to the ER. He wasn't able to hold any fluid down since he began vomiting at noon.
As soon as we got there they said he didn't need IV hydration that they would do a PO challenge after giving him sublingual Zofran to see if he tolerates the fluids. Based on his vital signs he was stable meaning he was asymptomatic from signs of dehydration.but why wait to be symptomatic when you are told a person has been vomiting all day unable to keep fluids down! OBVIOUSLY he tolerated little sips after the ZOFRAN it's antiemetic and makes you sleepy.
They discharged us with a prescription and said to come back if he continues to vomit. During the night of course he began to Vomit. I called the ED and explained what happened and the apparent hospital supervisor "Betty" said well bring him back in but there is no guarantee what the doctor will order him maybe more Zofran maybe IV fluids. Does this make any sense? Completely incompetent providers. If you want to live do not go there because they don't care!

Not how I planned to spend a Saturday night in Bethany Beach, but here we are. My husband knocked his head on a beam in the attic while opening up a client's beach house. He ended up with a bit of goose-egg knot on his head. He did not think much of it at the time but the next day, he came down with an excruciating headache, unlike anything he has ever experienced.
Worried it was related to the head injury the day before, we decided not to take a chance and took off for what Siri told me the closest ER to our location. I had to wait in the car due to COVID restrictions but hubby kept me informed by text throughout the process. Luckily it was only the after effects of a mild concussion and not a more serious head injury (according to the CT scan).
He was pleased with the MD he saw and follow-up instructions he received. He was in and out of there in about an hour too! Hard to believe for a Saturday night. From now on, I think I will make him wear a bike helmet when he is in a low clearance attic.

Well, ive been sitting here for two and a half hours and have been seen by absolutely no one, they have sent one person in the do intake at that beginning and thats it. Ive been a local here for years and this place has a terrible track record. I only came for a minor thing but i wouldn't recommend taking your enemies here. Nothing will ever be done

My mom, who is 82, was told after visiting a Patient First type facility in OC, MD that she needed to go to the emergency room in Berlin right away. Mom has Afib, Pancreatitis, and her symptoms were concerning to the doctor. This doctor even offered to call an ambulance. My dad took her and she was seen by Dr. William Wild, DO. He was totally unprofessional and so was the staff that waited on my mom.
The nurse was unbelievably rude to her (very short and sarcastic); Dr. Wild examined her and told her she had a cold, and that this facility was for emergencies only and to get dressed, she could leave. I am shocked that any nurse or doctor would treat a patient this way. My mother is the nicest person you could meet - so this was very sad to hear.

This hospital is filthy, there are bloody needles laying on the ground accompanied with splotches of blood, the nurses try to force procedures when they have no right to, and the doctor acted like he didn't care that we just entered an Emergancy room. Worst place to go in any emergency. Might be worth the trip to another hospital. The nurse Meghan literally watched the person we brought in to the emergency room have a seizure and was trying to suggest a scan and took almost a full minute to respond to the monitor nerving because of the excessive raise in heart rate.
The staff here appears to care about nothing and tries to diagnose patients with problems to give themselves less work. Meghan the nurse also wouldn't listen to us or the patient we brought in and expressed attitude when realizing we were correct. Meghan continued to tell us and the patient what was happening to her instead of listening, and gave attitude to us while not continuing to listening.
She also didn't rejoin the patient to the monitor after collecting a sample, extremely displeased and grateful that the person we brought didn't need actual help because we would have had to call 911 and taken to a different hospital for actual treatment.

It was an ok visit. My wait time was only 5 mins till i was checked in my nurse. (5star). Doctor or what ever he was saw me in 10 mins. (5stars) then he spent 3.5 mins looking at my issue, my knee injury. And said it cellutisis. Wrote a couple scripts, and i was out the door. Wait i have questions dude come on. So that was my only negative issue. (3stars). All in all i rather go there instead of Beebe.

OMG. The emergency room runs in slow motion. There is no emergency in this staffs vocabulary. My husband and I waited for 3 1/2 hours with him vomiting and sleeping in intervals. I could have gone to urgent care and got better results than emergency. We came from NY/NJ area and this staff and it's process/procedures would never make it to that level. Shameful. Someone needs to reevaluate. It's not working.

I was sent to Atlantic General hospital wound care center for breast cancer radiation burns. The PA that they set me up with came in the room after an hour and a half and called my 3rd° burns a "rash". He offered me nothing for topical pain treatment such as creams lotions and offered me no means as to wrapping the burns. I have been through nine months of cancer treatment with surgery radiation chemotherapy and this is the worst that I have been neglected in those nine months. Do not seek care on the Eastern shore and assure yourself of the best care by going across the bridge to Annapolis or Baltimore.

Worst experience of my life. I called for an ambulance because I was on vacation in Ocean City Maryland just me and my nine-year-old son. The ambulance shows up and I was feeling better and they told me that I could wanted to drive myself to the hospital to get checked out I could. I was like I don't feel comfortable doing that when I'm 200 miles from home and I have my 9 year old with me and almost passed out.
So they reluctantly took me in the ambulance to the hospital. Once arriving at the hospital several of the nurses were giving the EMTs, both named Ryan, crap for showing back up at the hospital because apparently they had told all the nurses they wouldn't be back that day. So clearly they didn't want to drive me because they thought we were done for the day.
I got checked in right away and the lady at registration was very nice, one of the only reasons this review is getting 2 stars. ( The only other reason this place is getting two stars is because my son was with me and a very nice pregnant nurse fed him while we waited there for five hours for me to be seen). The other reason I am only getting two stars is because the nurse practitioner that saw me ended up diagnosing me with headaches. Headaches! I clearly had an ocular migraine, my first one, but an easy Google search on my own I figure that out. I would never recommend anyone using these Emergency Services.

Julianne McBride and Gina Mofta are the most unprofessional, rude, and ignorant health care workers I have ever encountered. How Gina Mofta is even a doctor is beyond me. Both should not be allowed anywhere near patients and are a true testament to incompetency. I would go anywhere else for treatment other than this hospital unless you are dying, and even then you may just want to consider dying without the undignified visit to AGH.

A small quaint hospital facility that can save your life or simply get you feeling better. As good as any Hopkins facility I have ever been around. Rounds invoke patients family and is very patient oriented would recommend any services and their staff is highly competent with a small town feel, Berlin Md

I took my friend here for a possible broken ankle and we both were treated like we were the lowest class of human beings. The only pleasant person was the lady at the check in desk who was kind and helpful. We waited, along with 1 couple and 1 nanny himself, for over an hour. Staff walked by on their way to/from the elevator complaining about parking and 12 hour shifts and bad benefits.
Several ER staff walked by getting sodas and snacks from the waiting room vending machines, laughing and clearly in no hurry to treat any of us. This was at 2pm on a Wednesday and the hospital seemed fairly quiet. I asked 2 different staff if we could get ice to refill our ice pack and they both said "you'll have to wait until they take you back". Anyway, the intake nurse finally took in the couple to a small room and proceeded to loudly ask questions and say the patient's vitals and other private information out loud.
The patient (female) was crying and in obvious stomach distress. The intake nurse was rude and was sighing and shaking her head while putting info into her computer. Sadly, my friend and I, although 20 years older than this couple, were also treated like crap. My friend was asked if she fell down while drunk! Not really an appropriate question as my friend told her that she fell through a step that had rotted wood at a local restaurant.
The nurse was around 40 years old, dyed blond hair, fake tan, and wore pink pants with a print top. When the nurse in the ER cubicle saw my friend's ankle she immediately got us fresh ice. Turned out it was a bad sprain and my friend is doing fine. Don't go to this hospital for a hangnail!

I could truly sum this place up with one simple line."what an absolute train wreck of an establishment".but I feel that just doesn't truly do justice as to how dysfunctional this place was for my family and I. Sadly, part of my family's vacation was spent at this hospital, and by part of it I mean an entire evening where 97% of the time spent was in the waiting room.
I could not believe how long I was there waiting for our name to be called. Making it worse was the teasing that was being done as staff continued to tell us "you are next up" as they scrolled on the mouse staring at the computer screen. I firmly believe what they were looking at was their 3rd game of solitaire rather then the schedule of patients because after being told on three separate occasions that we were next I watched 8 others be called before us.
I mean, what's the point of lying? Just say "you aren't getting called until the Jet's win the next super bowl" if it's going to seriously be hours and hours until we are called. But it doesn't end there. Once we did get called the waiting game began again in the patient room. It was like a nightmare where a broken record just kept playing the same tune over and over.
I guess they got tired of us asking and simply said "move them so they shut up". Talk about being stuck in a medical purgatory. Once we were finally addressed and taken care of everyone was impatient, in a rush, and ultimately were acting as if they forgot that they left candles lit next to the curtains in the break room and had to go put it out before the place went up in flames.
I felt like my family had the bubonic plague with the way we were being avoided. Not exactly how you should be made to feel in an emergency situation when your child is injured. But at least we ended up getting the help we needed right?. We ended up getting a diagnosis that literally could not have been more wrong. We got a second opinion and the people at that second opinion location practically chuckled and poked fun at the original diagnosis like it was the drunken uncle who showed up to his nephews birthday party in a wrestling singlet and timberlands.
So my family practically spent enough time of our vacation in a hospital that when we walked out the grass was 3/4 of an inch higher then when we walked in, and in this time we were actually tended to by the doctors for 20 minutes, just to get a wrong diagnosis. Place seems like it's runs by Peter Pan and the guy who gave Jack his magic beans. Id rather get open heart surgery at a civil war hospital then get an ingrown toe nail removed at this place after my experience.

The nurse at the emergency room was so ignorant unprofessional rude and clueless Came to the ER for an emergency with a friend Luckily the emergency room was empty but the nurse was a nurse from hell Asked 2 Qs the lady barked at me told to go straight to the room and be quite! Never seen anything like that knots in my stomach I would give this hospital minus 5 stars if I could And the Winner as the most "compassionate "nurse of Atlantic hospital is Nurse Julie Law

I've only had wonderful experiences here. All the nurses, doctors, and staff really put you first. Never is the wait time over their "30 minutes promise". Ever since the new hospital management, President and CEO Michael Franklin, came into play, the hospital as steadily been improving. It has a Cancer and Stroke center, both of which are highly specialized. All equipment and electronics are top of the line here, by far beats PRMC!
