In 1995, refractive surgery experienced the dawning of a new era with the advent of the Excimer Laser. Laser in-Situ Keratomileusis or LASIK uses the excimer laser in a surgical process that corrects both eyes and takes less than 30 minutes to perform and can eliminate your dependency on contact lenses and glasses. Laser Vision Correction can truly change your life.

I went for the first time and had an absolute amazing experience. Everyone, from the front office staff, to all the medical staff that saw me was extremely nice and professional. Every test done was explained thoroughly, and everyone made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Scharfman is very knowledgeable and has great bedside manners. I definitely recommend this practice 100%.

Very poor customer service. Staff was given all insurance information 2weeks before appointment. They slept on it until we went to see Dr. on the day of appointment. Me and my wife took a day off at work and waited for hour and half for them to check the insurance and at the end we were told to reschedule an appointment. Staff is rude. Too many patients at the same time they scheduled. I would look into different option if available.

I like to thank Dr. Scharfman and his passionate team at their Old Bridge practice for their awesome service to me. We consulted with Dr. Scharfman for removing cataract from both eyes of my wife. The entire experience of removing her natural lenses and replacing them with IOL from start-to-finish was beyond satisfactory, exceptional. My wife's vision is great and with no effects whatsoever from after the procedure. Dr. Scharfman ensured that we had every pertinent information and guidance before and after the surgery ensuring complete recovery.
His care every step of the way instilled confidence and comfort. We'll recommend anyone to Dr. Scharfman and am sure your eyes are in safe hands. God bless him and his team for their unsettling commitment to their patient's vision. Sujaritha D, Old Bridge, NJ

I was refered to Dr. Scharfman by my optometrist when my eye exam indicated high pressure in my eyes. Ok first off the staff was excellent! They helped me from start to finish. Everyone has an off day, we are humans. As far as Dr. Scharfman he was beyond excellent. He was so thorough and professional. I was so nervous, and he did everything to keep me calm and reassured that everything would be fine. BTW if your reading the reviews I'm sure you noticed that one of them isn't even about Dr. Scharfman, maybe a trip to him is in order for the reviewer?

Wow was reffered to Dr. Scharfman by another Dr. Just dealing with the office staff was enough for me to know, NEVER go to this office. Hope the Dr knows that his staff is representing him badly. I was put on hold for 7 minutes, then was given attitude by the lady like if i was bothering her. Then i asked for an appointment at 4pm any day. She just replied "nope" her words.
I asked ever or just this week because nope doesnt explain much. She said we dont take 4 oclock appointments. Maybe its just ke.does everyone else take a day off work to see the Dr? Their hours are posted as open until 5pm so figured i can get in for the last hour. guess its one of those places that liked to leave people waiting for hours to see the Dr.

My mom does not speak English. She's 75. She went to that office along by knowing that there is a Russian speaking staff that will help her. The ONLY Russian speaking nurse was extremely rude and ignorant. Awful experience. The lady on the phone was very nice when I complained that mom has got back all shaking from the appointment and will never never go back.
Can you imagine how the 75 years old person fills in the office where no one speaks her language expect for the rude ignorant B. I think doctor has to pay a little bit more attention when he hires people like that. My mom obviously will never recommend that office to her elderly Russian speaking friends.
