I have been a patient of Dr. Mayer for more than 10 years. Dr. Mayer always take time to listen to my concern and explain things to me very clearly. She never asked me to take any unnecessary tests. Dr. Mayer gives me good advice to keep my health on track. At Garner Internal Medicine, the doctors, nurses, and staffs are very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend Garner Internal Medicine to anyone.

My husband and I were diagnosed with COVID-19 on May 18th. I am not a patient with GIM. My doctor and nurse have called and checked on me at least six times. Garner internal medicine hasn't made one call to check on my husband and they haven't checked him to determine his progress. My husband has a horrible caugh which causes him discomfort and his breathing is weak. It's getting worse. I'm going to seek another medical practice. That's the reason I left this medical practice. Where's the follow up and courtesy?

This is coming from a 50-something man: I don't like going to the doctor. I would rather (metaphorically speaking) go fishing and not be bothered. That said, I have to acknowledge the wonderful staff at GIM. After 15 plus years, I still see the same faces at each annual appointment, and I take comfort in that. As for my doctor (Dr. Mayer), she is dedicated to her profession and her patients.

She goes out of her way to meet you where you're at. I've said before, I won't be going back any sooner than I have to.but it's nice to know that when I do go, I know I will have a good, caring, professional experience. That's what's up.

Refusing to see primary patients with respiratory difficulties is highly absurd. I understand this is in measure to reduce COVID-19 exposure, however, patients can't have any orders for blood work, chest-x-rays, or pulmonologist referrals unless seen in office (per your policy.) It is highly dangerous to a patient suffering with respiratory symptoms to refuse them diagnostic treatment. Do better.

I have been a patient at Garner Internal Medicine for years. I have been seeing Emily Sudweeks FNP. Emily is caring, she is a great listener, she is proactive and is very thorough. I highly recommend her.

Incompetent and rude. Incompetent because on my last visit on the 12th the paper they give you to give to the nurse didn't have a copay amount. But now I'm getting an email saying I have a copay to pay! Rude because the doctors act like they can tell you what to do with your personal life and when you should get a new job. Also if you're the victim of a car accident they're gonna downplay it and blame it on your job instead! You're better off going somewhere else.

The nurses are the rudest people you'll meet. Even over the phone their tone is very rude and uninterested unless it regards to them not having to do their work. I heard very good things about this place but it was all a lie. The most inconvenient part about this place is you have to constantly go in to be able to refill your medicine unlike most places.

I have been a patient at GIM for almost 20 years and have received great care from Dr. Breiner. One of the staff at the front, however, is incredibly rude and if you call her out on her behavior she hangs up on you. This is not the first time I have experienced this type of behavior at GIM. If I am going to pay my hard-earned money for expensive health care I expect, at the least, a polite and courteous staff who recognizes that the patient is who pays their salaries. I would say that the up front staff could use a little training in how to treat people.

Friendly staff, they have lab services in-house, and good facilities. It also helps they're in a health mall as I call it. If you need radiology they can easily make an appointment and just cross to the other unit beside. We did lose our NP/PCP so that kinda sucked then never got to meet the replacement because she was on leave or something. Then we transferred docs.

I suffer from generalized anxiety and ptsd due to a traumatic hospital stay in 2017 and childhood abuse. Emily Sudweeks is amazing. She is understanding and shows real concern for her patients. Her nurse is also amazing. I have always had a great experience with the front desk staff. Scheduling an appointment is quick and easy. The wait time in the lobby is short.

I love how lab work can be done in the office. The doctor/nurse is always quick to call back with results. I'm so extremely grateful for them when my anxiety hit a high during these covid months!
