Addiction is a serious and sometimes fatal disease that should be evaluated by a medical professional in order to determine the appropriate treatment. Our physicians specialize in pain management and drug detoxification, including the use of Suboxone to treat opiate addiction and Naltrexon to treat alcoholism.
Today, there are medications that can help manage withdrawal from almost any drug, including marijuana. If you're addicted to pain pills, heroin, tranquilizers or alcohol, you don't have to go into a hospital or rehab for detox and treatment.

Pain Management is a free-standing service and is also incorporated into our Adult and Youth Outpatient Programs if needed. The following outlines the New Leaf Treatment Center pain management philosophy. The management of chronic pain is a major focus of our efforts. Services are offered to addicted people with co-occurring pain and to non-addicted people as well. The centerpiece of chronic pain management is to find a dose of opiate medication that best relieves pain, and relieves pain without sedation.
Treatment of withdrawal symptoms doesn't require hospitalization but can be safely and effectively conducted in the outpatient setting. For most people, outpatient detox permits return to work and parenting. New Leaf Treatment Center offers medical detox from several drugs, including alcohol, benzodiazepine tranquilizers and sleeping pills, , using a "substitution/taper" protocol that can be found on this website. For over 25 years, we have offered Buprenorphine (Suboxone) to treat opiate use disorders, both in a tapering format and on a maintenance basis.
