Dr. Alwattar and his assistant Jonathan are fantastic. However, one of the office workers, Shaina (or Sheena? I'm not sure) was incredibly rude and difficult to deal with, and probably should not be working in a job where she has to speak to other humans. Every interaction I had with her she talked to me in a condescending and rude manner. Dealing with surgery scheduling was also difficult as I could not get a response for 2+ weeks after calling multiple times and leaving multiple messages. I would love to continue having Dr. Alwattar as my surgeon specialist but the incompetence and rudeness of his staff is a big disappointment.

I saw Dr. Alwattar concerning some hip pain I was experiencing. He was nice and so was his assistant and the x ray technician. The front desk staff left something to be desired as the receptionist taking my payment and the one providing me information on getting an MRI and Physical Therapy seemed to be having a bad day. I had an Telehealth appointment a few days after my MRI and was provided my results. Dr. Alwattar told me to obtain a copy of my MRI Report and bring to the Physical Therapist.
I contacted Dr. Alwattars office on 3/9/21 to obtain a copy of my MRI Report. I was transferred to Dee (his assistant) and provided her my email address to send the report to. I received an email around 8pm stating the first attempt to send me the email failed (In looking at the email she didn't put a "." after my email address and before "com" so it never transmitted.
In looking at the email the MRI report was not attached and I asked if she could sent it again and received a rather rude response but she attached it. I thanked Dee and printed my MRI report to take to Physical Therapy as instructed by Dr. Alwattar. Upon reading my results, I noticed it stated I had some "other issues" NONE OF WHICH WAS TOLD TO ME when I obtained my results via Telehealth on.
I responded to the email and informed Dee of this and asked that Dr. Alwattar contact me. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL OR EMAIL BACK. I called the office a few days after emailing Dee and spoke to a receptionist (I don't recall her name) but she was quick to state that Dr. Alwattar doesn't assist in "these other issues", which I understand but why wasn't my FULL RESULTS READ TO ME?
In reading my full results why not state there were some "other issues" listed on the MRI that should be addressed and to contact my "other doctor" and offer to forward the MRI Results to them as well. She put me on hold and spoke to someone and then came back and stated the same thing again as though I didn't hear her the first time and told me to contact my "other doctor" (which I had already done) but she completely missed my concern.my MRI results should have been given to me IN FULL! Had I not read the results myself I would not have seen the "other medical issues".
I could have simply forwarded the email to the Physical Therapist office and would never have know about these "other issues". The receptionist said she would have him contact me. ITS BEEN OVER A WEEK and not a call, email or anything addressing the fact that a "serious health issue" was not addressed in the reading of my results. It's honestly pissing me off that the staff would rather avoid having the doctor call me back and even apologize for not informing me MY FULL RESULTS and recommending I see that "specific doctor" concerning it.
If it happened to any one of them I am sure they would be just as upset, yet they are unsympathetic. I won't be back! UPDATE: I went to their website the day I posted the first review in March and filled out their online survey and requested to be contacted. NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME and its been over 3 weeks! It's sad, scary and a real health concern to only have a portion of your results read to you.
If I didn't receive my MRI report myself to take to Physical Therapy I would have never known about the other health issues. What if the MRI Results were sent directly to the Physical Therapy office? I spoke to my Physical Therapist and he was even appalled that the Dr. Alwattar didn't provide me the FULL results and provided a recommendation that I see another doctor for the items not pertaining to him.
My Physical Therapist stated they are always under the assumption that the Orthopedic Surgeon provided the full results to the patient and they simply read the results and recommendations to create services for Physical Therapy, he agreed he wouldn't have read the results to me. As stated before, I won't be back. I want a more thorough Orthopedic Surgeon and staff that actually care about their patients health!
