I have undergone 3 sleep studies at Pinnacle over the last 2 years. A prescription for apnea machine was sent to Kittitas Medical center for an advanced machine. The insurance coverage is very picky as to technical settings for the machine in order to be covered by Medicare. Kittitas Medical center needed certain settings for the machine to be on the prescription. after several weeks of back and forth between Kittitas Medical and Pinnacle for a correct prescription, Pinnacle said they weren't going to adjust their prescription to meet the insurance guidelines. Consequently if I got the machine, Medicare could audit the claim for coverage and refuse because the necessary settings were not forth coming.
The financial responsibility would be mine. Expensive for sure. Baffles me why Pinnacle would send a prescription that didn't have the necessary settings on it and then refuse to make the necessary corrections. this was for an Apnea machine that instructed the brain to make me breath instead of stop breathing 52 times an hour like my current machine does. I do not recommend Pennical as they don't follow thru with their recommendations. I am very disappointed with Doctor Sunny.

I stayed over night on June 28 for a sleep study. I was taken to a room immediately. I waited maybe 5 minutes at the most. A technician knocked before entering. He explained the procedure to me and he began hooking everything up. Before He left the room, he once again asked if I had any questions. The whole staff was polite and courteous. Since then I had another sleep study. Once again, I was treated with respect and privacy.

If I could give this "business" 0 stars, I would. After being referred to them by my primary doctor, I went to them for a sleep study after having problems sleeping for over a year. I met with Dr. Sunny and created a plan of action to have a night time sleep study, and then we would follow up based on the results. After talking with the front desk staff about insurance coverage, they informed me I would be covered since I had already met my deductible and they were a preferred provider.
Because of this, I moved forward with the study and had a night time sleep study performed. I then met again with the Dr, where we determined I needed a day time study. Things seemed to be going well. and that's when it started going downhill. I requested the day off from work (unpaid) and showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment. After 25 minutes of sitting in the waiting room, the front desk lady asked if I had been helped.
When I told her I was here for my daytime study appointment, she looked at me and questioned if it was the right day. I pulled out my appointment card out of my purse and it was determined that I did in fact have an appointment and they had missed it but they didn't have the proper equipment to perform the study that day. I was frustrated beyond reason, I had taken the day off work and now I wasn't even going to get my appointment, I left in tears and they had no remorse and I received no apology.
After not receiving a phone call from the provider or staff in over two weeks, I called and asked to speak to the office manager. We discussed what had happened and she apologized and stated that she would talk to the doctor and either give me a discount for the services since it wasn't covered by insurance because they weren't a preferred provider (even though I was told it was) or they would write off the cost of my study.
After another week or so, I received a letter in the mail saying they would put me on a payment plan for the full amount (even though I didn't receive the full treatment plan). I decided it wasn't worth the fight, charged the bill to my credit card and immediately paid off my credit card. Three months later I am now seeing the charge come through.
When I called to discuss, the office manager was rude and inconsiderate, telling me the power outage in January had caused 28 transactions to not go through. I was not once contacted regarding the 3 month delay for the charge on my credit card nor offered to have them pay for the fees associated with the current charge. While I do take full responsibility for not watching my credit card more closely (the payment stayed in "processing"), I do not have one nice thing to say about this so called "business."
