Having carted my Mom and elderly cousin around to Drs office for years, I so appreciate an office like Dr Calderone's. The front desk team is always pleasant, professional, kind and efficient. Im always treated like a person, never like just another body walking in the door or calling. Same with the Drs assistants! Megan saw me at my last appointment and gathered my info and did any pre tests prior to the Dr seeing me, she was a delight!

The DR came in after all pertinent info was gathered and reviewed any findings. He sat with me giving me his time and attention as needed. I so appreciate feeling like I had his undivided attention. His schedule may run a bit behind, but i know its because he is taking the time needed with every patient, as he does for me. A big thanks to Dr C and his awesome team!

Dr. Joseph Calderone Jr. is my opthalmologist @ Better Vision N. J. in Cranford, N. J. & he is a Great Dr. with a considerate & accommodating staff. The exam is the most thorough & professionally done eye exam I've ever had! Thoughtful, great communication and top of the line service is why I continue to return for my eye care needs.

The vetting I received prior to my visit assured me that I was entering a safe and secure environment and I was therefore quite comfortable visiting your office. As always the hospitality and professionalism of all concerned was exemplary. I look forward to my next visit.

Everyone was pleasant, efficient and helpful. I was taken care of immediately on an emergency basis, tested and examined. They gave me suggestions for at home care and some samples. They even repaired my glasses, which had been bent by impact from the accident

Everything was exceptional from the time I walked in the door. Receptionists were pleasant. All assistants were amazing and helpful. The eye doctor is the best. Great patience, very thorough, explains things in simple terms, spends time and makes you feel more than just a number. So happy I found this place! A true blessing!

I'm a newer patient and this was my second visit to get a consultation on Lasiks with Dr Calderon. Original appointment was at 4p and they changed it to 230p. I was brought in for 5 mins sat down they asked me to read the letters on the board then sat me back out in the waiting room. I went to the receptionist at 330 asking how much longer and she goes to the back and disappears for 15 mins with no update.

They now call me at 345 after wasting my time for over an hour and a half They've now lost a future patient and I'm writing this review to warn everyone to stay away. Don't waste your time and money on a practice that won't value you as a patient.

This is truly the best eye doctor I have ever been to. From the moment I set foot in the office everyone was friendly and efficient, and the doctor explained everything to me very well without talking down to me. I have been to four eye doctors in as many years for my yearly exam because I could never find one that I like, but this one is a keeper. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Dr. Calderone and his staff are very thorough and attentive. I never feel rushed when I am there, and Dr. Calderone takes the time to answer my questions and alleviate my concerns. His staff is friendly, and first-class when it comes to making you feel comfortable. Highly recommended!

Dr Calderone is a fantastic doctor. However - I waited more than an hour to be seen and I had to leave because it was going to be at least another 30 minutes. I came back the next morning and was the first appointment - 8:30 am. However - I was not seen by the doctor until 9:05 am. While the doctor was thorough and very helpful, their lack of regard for the value of my time was insulting.

I have been going to Dr. Calderone for almost 20 years. They give a very comprehensive exam. the front office is great.runs smoothly. and Dr. Calderone is a great doctor. Very caring. listens to your concerns. and has a very upbeat personality. I recommend 100%.

New patients steer clear. Made an appointment for one doctor, and when I got there the appointment was with another. Staff was incredibly nice, but for new patients they charge a lot to get in the door. New patient in need of contacts so I had to pay for a fitting ($45) OK, I can live with that. I'm also told I need to pay $55 for a Refraction.

Then told if I wanted to possibly change the Rx on my glasses its another $55 - all that in addition to the cost of the glasses or contacts! Waited forever, most of the testing was done by the tech, barely saw the Dr. Also, Fox News. Going back to my old eye dr. who was way easier to work with on costs (but also has Fox News on).

The other review was right about the whole fox news thing but if they have to push their political agenda on clients that's sad and to be honest their problem. Now I went in there to possibly remove a stye, once I got there I was attended by a woman in her 40's-50's with a bowl cut that spoke over me the whole time and was rude. Low and behold they did not mention a single thing about me needing a driver on the phone if I had a procedure done, sorry people have things to do on a weekday at 4:30 to 5; who am I supposed to call?

I basically would of had to play musical cars and a game of telephone last minute or WHAT A SURPRISE I would of had to $OME HOW come again. After telling her in a stern yet polite manner that this was unprofessional the nurse with said bowl cut proceeded to get louder and speak over me. Later the doctor came in with a smug and snobby smile on his face and basically gave me some excuses and acted like a snob the whole time implying that he basically did not care. only to look at my stye, tell me things I already knew and was told I had to use specialized wet wipes for my eye lids. also unless you have a golf ball for a stye he wont be able to remove it. although the staff in the back was mostly snobby, condescending and smug; the people at the front desk where surprisingly very polite and wonderful. I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to go to a place that milks you for the insurance.

Staff and Doctor were polite but when I asked to turn off the Fox News I was told no and that the Dr insists on it basically. It seems incredibly rude and poor business sense for them to push their political agenda when there are a multitude of neutral and more appropriate options to choose from. I was very uncomfortable during my substantial wait to be assaulted by the vitriol and ignorance that that station spews.

I just had my second eye surgery with Dr Calderone and I am ecstatic I have 20/20 vision for the first time since first grade. With high myopia and myopia degeneration, he got it right. Thank you Doctor. As for the Staff they are friendly and caring professionals. I want to thank them for the patience and help they gave me through the whole process. I will recommend Dr. Calderone to any one who needs professional eye care.

Dr. Calderone is pleasant and courteous. He is a competent professional who spends time with his patients, addressing their questions and concerns. If you are in need of a top Opthamologist, I recommend him with full confidence.
