Consumers' demands will shape hospital services and healing environments will be expected Endresen & Wintz, 2002; Mangi, 2002. Research indicates that environment plays an integral role in the healing of the body, mind and spirit. The concept of a healing environment was adopted by PMC during the planning phases of our replacement facility in 1996.

This hospital (3rd time being there to stay with a patient overnight several days) is so disorganized, understaffed, and does not communicate with each other. Doctors come in asking the Pt questions that should have been record off their record. Doctors DO NOT communicate with each other. They ask the Pt what was said by the other doctors. The nurses' stations are not manned at night, so when a Pt pages the nurse via the remote along bedside, it goes unanswered.
They have bed alarms on all beds, but when an alarm is set off, the nurses and staff have no idea what room or bed is alarming. By the time staff figures it out, the Pt is hanging off their bed or laying on the floor because no one comes when paged. They don't give pts sponge baths or any baths for that matter. I can go on. I've been in many hospitals all over the nation, and this is by far the worst. They need a medical director to turn this place around.

Parish medical has some wonderful staff just as well some disrespectful unprofessional staff that needs to be retrained in empathy, respect and the purpose. As for the staff that do care and actually are truly about patient and well being of another humans life is very few but I think parish medical should be careful with how they treat people. God sees all!

Extremely Friendly, however, I prefer results. I went in with the following issues: 1) Back Pain 2) Chest Pain 3) Stomach Pain 4) Swollen Feet EKG-Normal Blood-Normal Talked to the Dr for less than 2 minutes, and showed him 1 of my feet, and that was it. They are in pain as well, but I guess that was too much effort for him to check. Diagnosis - Dehydration, let me say this again, Dehydration, since that has everything to do with my back pain (Sarcasm). Also, was finally brought to a bed after I believe 3-4 hours of waiting, on the side of a room. Yes, In the hallway, because even Veterans don't need a actual room, which I notified the VA Urgent Care about since I'm sure they will try and charge for having a room. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: You may email me, which is located on my paperwork since I had to update that and other information since the clerk didn't do her job properly and update EVERYTHING at the time of service. This is to ensure I have a paper trail as to when/if anything gets done. I don't do phone calls since my location has poor service and loathe dealing with people.

Worst hospital I wish i knew it has 2 stars when I went. I was told there was fluid on my ovary to then be told it all In my head. I've filed multiple complaints and wouldn't go here ever again.they do not even take ur complaint seriously. And I've never been so defrauded by any physical in my life let alone a actually doctor after 8 years of strict training

My mom was there twice this week with horrible care. The first visit they said she was + for covid. She waited overnight in the E.R for a room to become available. Two days later sent home, only to return less than 12 hours later. Her second visit she was brought by ambulance who left her in a wheelchair, in a waiting room, ALONE, in RESPIRATORY DISTRESS with an EMPTY O2 tank, and noway to summon help.
Then told it wasn't covid once a Doctor did see her. This is totally unacceptable care for anyone! I'm absolutely DIGUSTED knowing she could have died in that waiting room and nobody would have even known. Poor thing kept texting my sister( who is a nurse elsewhere) for help, because NOONE in the hospital even acknowledged her for an HOUR. That's NEGLECT! She will NEVER be back to this hospital that's for sure!.

I recently spent a week in ICU at this hospital. Not only is it a beautiful facility but I cannot say enough about the care I received in ICU. Every nurse and Dr were very professional and compassionate regarding my situation. Also I was amazed at the support staffs, encouraging words, from Housekeeping to cafeteria management and staff, to the hospital chaplain.
I feel I could not have been in better hands and am so very grateful for them. Lastly the on site cottages for out of town family were a true blessing and beautiful. They are definitely a healing hospital.

I have been going to Parrish Hospital for over a year to get all my lab work and testing done. They are great. But I would not recommend going to their emergency. I went in at 4am gasping for air.,e levated heart rate and dizziness. They did take me right away due to I was the only one waiting. Frist thing they did was a Covid19 test.negtive several doctor's came in and asked me questions.the same questions over and over again.
Try answering when you can't even breathe. Took about 45 minutes before a EKG was ordered. Waited another 45 minutes to get the results. Those came back good. So no Covid no heart condition.your good to go home they told me. While I still was unable to breathe. Called my doctor's office told them what was going on and was able to be seen right away.
Upper respiratory infection, asthma attack and some fluid in my lungs. Was given a breathing treatment and antibiotics and a prescription for a inhaler. None of these areas were even acknowledged in the emergency room. I will continue having my lab work and tests done at Parrish, but definitely never going back to their emergency room.

I care for my aging parents. 87 and 92 yrs old. They have been trying to avoid this hospital for years and I have been skeptical about their opinions. However, I now agree. The communication between staff and patient is unacceptable. The first time I recognized a problem was about 6months ago. My Mom fell and hit the back of her head on our tile floor.
After hours waiting for a doctor, he shows up, he's abrupt and impatient with my mom's issues in hearing him. She requires some stitches. Instead of discussing this with her, he turns her head around and blasts some staples into her skull. No warning, no moment to smooth her hair away, nothing to dull the pain. just bam bam bam. My mother cried from the pain and the doctors response was that he didn't have time to deal with making it easier or discussing it with her.
And he left. We arrived at the emergency room today around 12:15pm. My Mom fell again and she had a lot of bleeding and a head and neck ache. At 9pm we left. During the 9 hours we were in the emergency room we had one scan on her head and two blood tests. We had zero communication with anyone about the results of any of those tests. The only communication we had from any hospital staff was from a security guard telling us that she was second in line to be admitted into a room. What? Did she need to stay overnight? Did the scan reveal an issue?
The blood tests? Who knows. 2 hours after that security guard gave us that info- we left. 9 hours in an emergency room is ridiculous. But 9 hours with NO COMMUNICATION from a nurse, a doctor or anyone about her condition is ludicrous. We wish we lived closer to a different hospital when emergencies happen.

Terrible, no sense of haste whatsoever. My boyfriend was complaining of chest pains and his left arm was going numb and tingling while in the waiting room and they didn't take him back or anything, they just gave attitude and told him to wait when we told them it was getting serious he's having these symptoms. At one point there wasn't even anybody at the front, no staff anywhere.
We were there for 4 hours. My boyfriend also said when he went in with these symptoms the front desk nurses were chatting with the security guards and didn't even acknowledge him and made him wait until they were done with their conversation. Another thing, when the nurse was putting an IV in his arm apparently she didn't do it right or tighten the needle cap before putting the needle in his arm because blood just started pouring out of his arm through the needle down his arm in a puddle onto the bed.
Thank God we don't live in this area and this is not our nearest emergency room, we only had to stop here because we were heading home and that was the nearest emergency to where we were.

I was supposed to go see Dr Perez today and he decided that he wasn't going to see me because he didn't already have my medical records from my previous GYN for an abnormal Pap. He refused to see me and I don't understand why when he could have just done the procedure himself and found what was going on with me. But instead told me to go to someone else which I couldn't see the same day.

My first visit to this hospital and my experience was not great. The nurse that checks in patients and the security guard that's in the ER was sitting having private conversations when the nurse should have been checking in patients and the security guard should have been doing security checks. I went to the hospital because the right side of my body was in pain.
I sat in the waiting room for 4 hours. Then I was taking back to a room where I sat for another hour. The doctor comes in touching my neck, arm and my side with no gloves on and he had no mask on. Then the doctor was standing with the door open still speaking to me about my care so much for CONFIDENTIALITY.

My father had a cardiac event and was transported to PMC ER via ambulance. My father subsequently passed and the ER Dr initially signed the death certificate. After being sent back by the medical examiner's office, the Dr then refused. PMC then had the funeral home re-send the death certificate to 2 other doctors who also refused to sign. This lead to an extreme delay in receiving the death certificate.
Their communication with the funeral home was horrid. I am still waiting for a death certificate 21 days later when it normally takes 5-6 days. This has led to delays in doing anything including caring for a 12 year old minor. PLEASE.AVOID PMC AT ALL COSTS! Update: Prior to writing this review, I called your Emergency Department Director and spoke to the secretary who assured me that she would call me back. I am still waiting for that call. But, I would gladly speak with you about this matter.

First of all the staff was very helpful and cordial. This was my first time visiting a doctor in BREVARD county. Dr Licht was very cordial, asked a lot of questions regarding my previous history and offered helpful suggestions to keep me healthy. BTW the time spent was positive and he didn't seem concerned about how much time we spent during our visit. Will definitely return.

The staff this morning was fantastic. My Dr and his nurse? We're two of the most compassionate people I've run across in my unfortunately numerous times at an er. I'm very grateful to them for listening to me and being sympathetic to my mental health needs as well as my physical health concerns. I cant thank them enough. I hope that for every nasty patient they have to deal w that they remember there's at least one of us who is exceptionally grateful for who they are, what they do and how they do it. Thank you again. God bless and please stay safe! Bria

Everyone has a different experience when it comes to care at a hospital. The ER is well staffed clean and the care is much appreciated when your in trouble. Getting admitted to a room is equally as good. The beds are as usual ok for a while but no better or worse then others. The food is not bad and the cafeteria is pretty good for your guest to find something good to satisfi. The parking lot can use better lighting at night. The no smoking anywhere is great. The room temperature is comfortable for a warm person.
