Great knowledgeable staff, helped me with insurance, were very kind and professional. Can not say enough good things about Dr. Melhuish. She was very thorough, took time to educate me to all the possible options for treatment. Refreshing to see a Doctor that will spend time with a Patient. Very impressed would highly recommend.

Dr. Melhuish was great with my elderly mother. She worked quickly and explained everything clearly. She had the right amount of friendly chit chat and still focused on the task at hand. My only complaint was the long wait time.

Office staff told me that they accepted my insurance so I made an appointment. Dr. Melhuish took care of my issue (although I had to see a different Dr. at a later date to actually fix the issue). At my follow-up appointment, I was told that they actually didn't accept my insurance and I had to pay full price for services rendered. I was MAD. I paid and left. Ridiculous considering I had to see another podiatrist less than a year later to fix what should have been done at this appointment. I do not recommend this provider.

My husband Mike had been going to Dr Melhuish for several years about his legs and feet. He had diabetes so had alot of problems with swelling and wounds that did not want to heal. You would think a professional would know the medical background of the people they treat. My husband had surgery to remove fluid around his lungs, he was in the hospital for 6 days and it was a difficult procedure. Dr Melhuish recommended Bio-Compression boots for his legs and feet.

My husband was able to breath after the surgery and after using the boots for three times, he was unable to breath again and there was fluid around the lungs. The only option was the surgery again, which my husband declined. If you look at the information on Lymphedema Lifeline about compression pumps, it says in black and white not recommended for someone with renal kidney failure, congestive heart failure or respiratory insufficiency to name a few.

My husband had all three of these and you would think a professional doctor would know this and it would be in his file. These boots did not cause his death a month ago but they did contribute to his extreme discomfort in the last months of his life. Shame on Dr Melhuish, she should do her research before she recommends something to a patient. We rely on their presumed expertise.

I give 5-stars for Dr. Melhuish and her staff. Very pleasant, matter-of-fact, and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Melhuish is quite versed in her field. She is thorough when treating patients. The staff is knowledgeable in regard to patient insurance. I have and will continue to recommend family and friends to Sierra Foot & Ankle because I know first-hand that they will receive top notch care and information. Sierra Foot & Ankle is a great asset to Carson City.

Today's visit was exceptional! Even though we were new to the office they got us an appointment with in a day. Dr. Vicky was able to take care of a serious problem right away. The office staff was so helpful and professional. My mother was very impressed with Megan, Dr. Vicky's assistant. Dr. Vicky has a plan to get my mothers feet under control!

Went in with two painful warts on the bottom of my foot. My job requires alot of walking so I wanted them gotten rid of as soon as possible. They used the Swift treatment. The treatment itself was painless. After about two weeks the pain from the warts was completely gone. 3 weeks more and the warts are gone! Thanks Victoria and Oscar!

My experience with Sierra Foot and Ankle was tremendous. Dr. Melhuish listened to my problem, examined my foot, took x rays and then using State of the Art equipment to assess my foot, She had 3D Custom orthotics designed and manufactured for me. When I had my first appointment I could barely walk because of the pain. I've been wearing my orthotics for 2 weeks and the pain is gone and I feel great. The entire staff was professional and helpful and Dr. Melhuish was a God Send.

Dr. Melhuish is personable and very professional. She listens closely to the patient, leading to suggestions for better self-care. Her treatment plan is discussed in a clear manner, and she checks to be sure it is understood. Overall, the doctor and her staff provide excellent care in a pleasant, caring atmosphere.

I have had an ingrown toenail for around 5 to 7 years, I kept trying to fix at the nail salon. I finally got the courage to go in to Sierra foot and ankle and had a great experience. She cut my nail a bit and I recovered in five days. I wish I would've done this years ago, I'm very happy I went in I have no more pain in my foot and it feels amazing!

I would recommend this great place to anyone and everyone with foot issues, they do a great job And are kind and make you feel comfortable. I'm happy I finally took care of this issue.

I was referred to Sierra Foot & Ankle by my primary care physician. I was impressed by the level of care from initial contact through my first visit. The staff were professional and thorough. Oscar was very attentive, courteous and helpful. Dr Melhuish was very knowledgeable, clearly an expert in her field. She diagnosed my foot related pain and offered several treatment options.

From options covered by my insurance, a hybrid option of covered and uncovered to an option that was out of the box. She assured me that by starting with the options covered by insurance I would receive the very best care available while letting me know if the course of treatment was not successful I would have other options available. Very impressed with the entire operation and they were above par regarding Covid related protocol. I highly recommend Sierra Foot & Ankle!

I was referred to Dr Melhuish by my Doctor in Monterey CA for ongoing treatment to an lingering infection due to pressure caused by a bunion on my left foot which had originated over a year ago. Dr Melhuish developed a treatment program that went well beyond what I experienced in the past. She carefully monitored my recovery process and was unrelenting in her treatments which covered a period of about 120 days.

She constantly reminded me of necessity of adhering to prescribed protocols and never let me slack off. Her office is efficiently managed and I was never kept waiting. Her assistants reflect her professionalism and she also exhibits a very warm personality and matching sense of humor. I believe my foot has now completely healed and I am pain free and walking 3-4 miles each day. I highly recommend Dr. Vicki Melhuish.

I highly recommend Dr Melhuish. I went in for torn ligaments in my foot. The doc is highly knowledgeable and knew what the issue was even before the xray results. The care and treatment I received was beyond my expectations. I am pain free and healing quickly.

BEWARE! These folks are not interested in you, just the almighty dollar. On my follow up visit they had no idea why I was there. I had to explain my situation again. I was told my case must have fallen through the cracks. That inspires confidence. Both times I checked out I was overcharged. The first time it was corrected, the second I was told it was in stone.

My insurance had been consulted the week before and approved. However, today, it was in stone, full price. On another front, as i waited at the check out desk I had to endure the staff joking about my diabetic nephropathy, they could do whatever they wanted to with my feet without me feeling pain. Very professional. Employ these people at your own risk, they only care about your wallet. Enjoy what you stole from me.

My primary physician put in a referral to Dr. V Melhuish and in two days her office called to set up an appointment. Office staff was very friendly in welcoming to the office. Extremely helpful during my visit. The Dr explained exactly the what and why of my issues and how I could have treatment. Before leaving the office i knew what path i would be taking and why. Could not ask for more in a Dr or office staff. Everyone is on board to help. Thank you for all your service.

Called OrthoPro instead, left a phone message on a holiday when they were closed and received a call back the next morning. Appointment booked!

Dr. Melhulish and her staff are very knowledgeable, caring and professional. Their orthotics have changed my life. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. They are amazing.

Not a good experience with them - Only saw Dr. Melhuish once where she had an xray taken and then prescribed a series of 10 laser treatments for my plantars fasciitis. They consistently over scheduled that treatment (only one laser machine) They admonish you to be at your appointment 15 min early for this 10 minute laser treatment and you still wait. 5 of first 7 treatments were 20+min late - I had to reschedule 2 of those as I couldn't wait. Cancelled the last 3 treatments because of late and reschedule issues. Have been waiting almost 3 weeks for my refund and copy of medical records. They are true to form - LATE.

I'm seeing Dr. Melhuish for ingrown toenails & a fungus problem relating to the ingrown toenails. She & her staff are wonderful! You will not be disappointed. While other foot doctors in the Valley do not return their phone calls, her staff returns your calls the same day. And with 2 offices in the Valley, you will get in to see her immediately! I recommend Dr. Melhuish today!

I would give Sierra Foot And Ankle 10 stars if I could. I have been to several podiatrists and an Orthopedic surgeon. I was in constant pain. I have spent a fortune on orthotics. Almost gave up but then found amazing Dr. Vicky. She had new orthotics made for me. I was skeptical but she was so positive. I see her every 6 to 8 weeks and she modifies the orthotics as my feet change and improve. She has a wonderful staff, we'll run office that is clean and comfortable. THE BEST!

I've had a toe issue for years now and finally decided this past fall to have a foot doc look at it instead of my local (crappy) Urgent Care. I'm so glad I finally did. Dr. Melhuish has a great bedside manner and is very confident in her work. i was at ease during both procedures. And, now that I'm all healed, it looks like the work was done right.

The only minor part of the experience that I wasn't a fan of was the attempt to sell me all the extras. But, it wasn't too pushy, thus not a big deal. I'll definitely use Dr. Vicky in the future if other similar issues come up.

I had my first visit at Sierra Foot & Ankle, Dr. Melhuish's clinic and I am very pleased. I can certainly agree with the two other reviews already written. Everyone was very nice and professional and the care I received was excellent. Dr. Melhuish is a specialist in Podiatric Surgery and Medicine, is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. I would definitely recommend her office and I am confident in the care I'm receiving there.

Dr. Melhuish is knowledgeable, inspires confidence, is soft spoken and caring. The entire office is friendly and CLEAN and professional and efficient. Everyone is great there. I can't recommend this doctor highly enough. It was overall a great experience. There is another podiatrist in town not even worth mentioning, and I have been there. I can't imagine anyone would pick that one over Dr. Melhuish.

Although I've had some medical adventures, I'm a wimp when it comes to anything having to do with doctors. I had a nasty side affect (from some other, unrelated treatment) that included a toe problem. It hurt, and I was a big chicken about getting anything done to fix it. Dr. Melhuish is the kindest, most understanding doctor I've ever seen.

She was so reassuring, and I literally felt nothing when she did the work. After her procedure the problem was completely alleviated, and I haven't had any problems again; she seems to know her stuff! Best of all, she knew I was freaked out, so after the procedure she let me sit in that foot doctor chair thing as long as I wanted. I sat there until I was un-freaked-out, and she kept checking in with me until I was calmed down enough to go home.
