Services
We support children in their journey to becoming healthy, confident adults, maximizing their unique potential. The greatest responsibility one person can give another is to care for his or her child. We assume the mantle of this responsibility with diligence, intellectual rigor, efficiency and compassion.
Walk-ins for ages five and up are accepted from 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM, Monday through Friday only. NOTE: If you plan to come in to pick up forms, please make arrangements to do so by 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Nurses are readily available during the daytime to assist with routine issues, or to help you decide if your child needs to be seen that day.
The newborn period is a magical time for new parents as you finally hold the child you have been waiting to meet for so long. We delight in meeting you and your newborn and using evidence-based guidelines to tailor our care to your baby's and family's unique needs. As your baby grows and develops we carefully track his/her physical growth and development, performing regular screenings to ensure that any problems with hearing, vision, physical, or intellectual development are recognized and treated early.
As your child gets a little older and goes off to school, regardless of what age this happens at, there continues to be a lot of activity and development of both their minds and bodies. While the frequency of their visits may decrease, we continue to carefully monitor their health. This is an age where behavioral issues as well as more subtle developmental issues may be recognized.
During the adolescent years, our patients (and their parents) are navigating the course from being dependent children to being independent young adults. Through the well child visits we discuss the normal physical changes of puberty, the nutritional needs of rapidly growing bodies, and the academic and social challenges of school.

Sent a detailed email to their "feedback" email address. Over a month and no response. Had to send a follow up email to see if I would be hearing back from someone. They couldn't be more disinterested. If you want an office that you have to go through a gazillion automated systems only to get a voicemail and play phone tag. Then have everyone have poor communication.

Be meet with a rude tone. Not have your child's health issue addressed and rack up co-pays. Oh and leave valid feedback for it to fall on deaf ears. This is the office for you.

Some doctors are good. Receptionists at the Westford office are horrible.

Very poor COVID-19 response. I called early in the morning to schedule my sick kids for testing and was told I needed to fill out an online form in order to request testing. I did so and received a confirmation. Hours later, nobody reached out so I gave the office another call. I was told to rest assured that they would be scheduled for testing via text message.

Several hours went by again and I called back and was told that because both kids are under the age of 5, the online system wouldn't schedule them and I should have received an error message. The woman I spoke with didn't believe that I got a confirmation, so I'm posting it here because I took screenshots. By the time the issue was figured out, no appointments were available. Very disappointing, PediWest. We are over 2 years into the pandemic and still your system is failing sick children.

We have been taking our children to Pediatrics West for 18 years now. The customer service has become rude. The staff is quick with you on the phone after navigating the long automated system just to speak to a live person. There is no time slot availability for sick appointments. Of all three facilities open I could not get an appointment until 6 pm in a location an hour away from me. Needless to say Urgent Care was my best option.

We've been going to the Pedi West office at Westford location for years. They have really wonderful team of pedestrians, but lousy nurses that have no 'say' or simply don't care about their current patients. My younger daughter was recently tested positive for a strep. However it took 2 days for the lab results, as typical swab didn't pick this up during a rapid test.

All of us in the household are going through the exact same symptoms. Yet, we are told to make another appointment for my other family member in order to get another strep test done before antibiotics can be prescribed. If this is a matter of charging my insurance, so be it, but why do we need to spend another few days waiting for test results while other places can quickly issue a prescription over the phone? Strep is contagious and can bring complications if not treated right away. Sounds like this office staff simply cares about making money rather than treating their patients.

We've been taking my son here for 14 years and it's sad how much the service has declined. There is no longer any focus on customer service. Everything is either online or they ask you to leave a message. My son went in last month for strep testing and they just sent to bill to me directly. They didn't even try to send it to my insurance.

I was thinking about keeping my son here until he graduates from High School but now I think I'm going to be shopping for a new doctor. Sad, they used to be a pleasure to work with.

Have used for years but something changed. Office staff is indifferent, uncaring and at times, rude. Care and welfare for children has been marginalized and service is now terrible. Getting an appt is like winning the lottery. Response to a recent urgent situation is "go to ER or Urgent Care." Parents and children deserve better!

Very difficult to get added on as a new patient. Their office never gets back to you, when you call all you get is voicemail, no way to check if records have been transferred, very disorganized.

This office was HORRIBLE to work with. Dr Sheehy showed no compassion whatsoever for my son and made navigating his health challenges much harder for us, rather than supporting us through them.

We have been seeing Pediatrics West for over ten years. The plus side is they have super flexible hours. They are open late and have weekend hours. The atmosphere has changed over the years as many of the support staff cool in their demeanor. The downside is their bedside manner with children and teens who are struggling with their mental health. I know this from my job in the field and from word of mouth.

If a case is "too complicated" they will drop you. I would not go to them to seek help with mental health issues for your children. Just seek help from a child psychologist or psychiatrist. Their sister company New England Center For Healthy Minds is not much better.

I have been taking my son and daughter to this pediatric care but not any more. every time i walk in for an appointment there is significant time delay until doctor show up in your room. when questioned they always say they are busy (as if everyone in the world are free and i dont understand the purpose of scheduling appointments). today we had bad experience again with my four month daughter's appointment. the appointment given was at 9:40. we are on time and they said doctor will come in shortly. but doctor came after more than 30mins. i questioned one of the nurse and she said they are running late and busy (believe me guys this is the reply i have been getting from them since last few visits). they always apologize but will not improve their service. so this time i decided to cancel our service with them. so guys who ever read this review, think twice before getting a care here.

My family has been patients of this practice (specifically we use the Westford office) for the last 3+ years and we couldn't be happier with them. We've seen Dr. Daly and several of the other doctors and although they're all different, we've had wonderful experiences with every single one. They are quick to call me back when one of my kids is having a medical issue and if I want to be seen they fit my child in. I really love the office staff and all the medical providers and highly recommend Pediatrics West.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Daly since birth and is now 2 years old. I am very surprised at the negative reviews of Pediatrics West in general. The doctors, nurses and other support staff have been easy to work with. It's a busy practice, but I have always gotten prompt call back from the nurses on call, etc. I don't usually write reviews, but thought I should put my two cents in, as we have had a good experience with Ped West.

One of the worst pediatrics offices. The only positive side is close to my home. They charge nonexistent services and when you dispute with them, their attitude is really rude and arrogant. They (nurses) give you wrong suggestion on the appointment dates for babies - we had to go to their office twice in a week just because they found out a vaccine couldn't be given during the first visit and ask us to make another appointment in a few days. They deserve zero star for their service.

My kids see dr Jones along with a few other doctors and nurse practitioners and they all except one, have done a great job taking care of my kids when they are sick! They are very kind and never make me feel like I'm a pain as I bring my kids in quite frequently. I feel like my kids are in good hands there and definitely recommend :

I love love love Dr. Daly! As a new mom, I obviously was very diligent in finding a pediatrician for my little one. I was referred to Dr. Church but when I called she was no longer accepting new patients. They put us with Dr. Daly and I was a bit apprehensive. The first time my husband and I met him, we instantly loved him. He is compassionate thoughtful and very intelligent.

He never made me feel stupid for asking a million questions (even when I knew they were kind of dumb questions). My daughter loves seeing him which is a huge plus too! We've had several medical issues that I've called Pediatrics West about too and I find the triage nurses to be knowledgeable. They knew when to have us in for sick visits and when to have us watch.

Not every cough obviously warrants a sick visit. They also call to check up if they don't have you in for a sick visit right away. I use to work at a medical office and know what it can be like behind the scenes. I have always had great interactions with the staff and the nurses who do vitals are fantastic! Couldn't be happier with Dr. Daly and Pediatrics West!

I love Love Love this practice. From the receptionists to the nurses to my daughters pediatrician. I come here specifically for dr Egan because of her years in the industry and her knowledge and grace. but I've also had the pleasure of dr A and dr church taking care of my baby. I like how communicative they are. Appt reminders are a huge plus because it's environmentally friendly (paperless) and super convenient!

There are always email updates too. I've never had scheduling problems and everyone loves my daughter! I can't say enough good things about this place. Seriously the best of the best!

I have been at Westford location for several months and instead of loving it more I am a bit disappointed. Given I am a very hands on mom and I like to ask a lot of questions and prefer avoiding the use of medication whenever necessary as my little girl is only 16 months. We have been seeing Dr. Eagen and I have been left wanting a little more. I didn't really feel supported and listened to. Yes, she will hear me out but on occasions i felt brushed off.

I also didn't feel she took my concerns or my kids health very serious. Don't get me wrong when I say this. She would see us when necessary and refer us out if needed. Given my daughter was sick a bit often we did see Dr. A, whom gets 10 stars. This man is incredible on top of his game and expresses his concerns for your child. I really wanted to have him as my main pedi, but he is mainly seeing only sick visits and may retire soon.

I really wish he would have taken us. I definitely felt listened to and he was very dedicating at assessing health issues. He even advocated for my little one to get seen by a specialist sooner rather than later. For that i am super grateful. In the last couple of months there has been several changes at the front desk. So lots of training going on. The wait times when you call are ridiculous. I wonder why there is so much turn around in the front desk staff.

We see Dr. Hiltunen at Pediatrics West and love her. We've tried a couple of other pediatricians closer to home but went back to Dr. Hiltunen, she's worth the drive!

I've been taking my son to Pediatrics West since 2012 and I've been very happy there. When my daughter was born, I started taking her there, too. I've always found the nursing staff to be responsive when I've called asking questions, even if it was the middle of the night or the wee hours of the morning. When I've had concerns about my children's health, they've always been supportive and fit me in for visits asap when needed.

I feel like the doctors listen to me and are willing to be flexible when my philosophy/preference doesn't jive with their initial recommendations. Compared to other doctors, the wait time in the lobby is never very long, though there have been times that we've been waiting in the exam room for a while. Overall, I'd say that they have been responsive, patient, and thorough.

They are always quick to respond. Almost always get same day appointment. The say 48 for script most of the time it is done the same day. I would much rather get apt with someone who knows my child than a urgent doc In a box. They are open till 8pm as a working mom with a sick kid that is super helpful. Dr Eagan and Karen Flynn are always friendly and helpful.

Add me to the list of unhappy mothers. Called about my 10 month old sudden hard blinking and squinting. Described to the nurse (don't remember her name.) and she told me that if there's no discharge or redness then it's nothing to worry about. Sounds logical. However, I stressed that I wanted her to get a referral to an eye specialist just in case.

The nurse again reiterated that I wait til the hard blinking is constant and that I need to get it on video or else it's going "TO BE A WASTE OF EVERYONE'S TIME." I was shocked that she'd even said that. I told her it's a waste of time to see a baby?! it's your job, you get paid to do it. She must be in the wrong profession.

Then she gave me an attitude and said she's a mom too and Dr. Eagan is on vacation and won't be able to see her anyways. Why is she a nurse, sounds like she could care less about my concern and doesn't offer to have another doctor to see her. I'm not going to wait until she's start to blink like that constantly to call, not going to wait til it gets worse.

I wouldn't even be speaking to her if it gets to that point. She then asked what's my insurance, I told her PPO. she said you don't even need a referral, you can just call & quickly gave me a name of a pediatric optometrist. I said thank you, hung up and look for a new place for my daughter.

WARNING This office will not authorize referrals to Heywood Urgent Care! Took my daughter to urgent care around 12pm on a Friday, immediately after picking her up from school, with suspected pink eye. I had to work that afternoon and did not have time to mess around with calling Pediatrics West, setting up an appt., driving to their office, only to sit there for 45 minutes waiting to get into a room, to again wait another 1/2 hr to be seen by a provider for 3 minutes, drive home and then drive to our pharmacy. Urgent Care = no appt. needed, in and out in less than 10 minutes, off to pharmacy with a lot of time to spare!

Staff at urgent care told us to simply notify the PCP of the visit, who in turn would put in a referral for insurance purposes, easy as that. Yeah right! Call Pediatrics West, pick referral ext. Get a voice mail, leave msg. They call back DAYS later requesting more info. including the reason why you went to urgent care instead of their stupid office.

You call back.again, voice mail. You leave msg. explaining that the reason why you went was CONVENIENCE! They call back, again, days later stating that they do not do referrals to the Heywood Urgent Care. You call to speak to manager, get put on hold 15 minutes by incompetent staff that has no idea what you're talking about, yadda yadda yadda.

Bottom line: Their desk staff is incompetent to say the least. They do not care about working family convenience, run an unprofessional practice and are obviously in it for the $$. Not our first bad experience with this place, but will definitely be the last! Can't wait to get the bill from urgent care! What should have been a $20 visit will more than likely be $2000. Thank you Pediatrics PEST!

We have been at Pedi West since 2011, and have been very happy with the care we have received there. We love our primary care doctor, but the NPs have all been wonderful, as well. Never an issue obtaining paperwork for school or a necessary prescription.

I have not been there long enough to judge pediatrician, however my experience with secretary staff has been awful. I know that good pediatrician is all that matters however the majority of communication goes through secretary and I can say for sure that this office has the worst customer/patient service I have experienced so far. For example today when I called to see if my pediatrician can take care of the prescription authorization I was told the secretary is extremely busy today and that she most like will not be able to look into it today. What?! Its babies that we are talking about and if they did not need it I would not be calling. Horrible.
