My son was hit by car last year and went to the emergence room. It was the other car driver's fault. Recommended by the hospital, we authorized this 3rd party to represent us to work with the driver's auto insurance company for all hospital charges and bills. Seems all other medical bills were paid except this bill from this physician, Dr. Bradley Judson.
Early in the Feb, Mar of this year, I called them couple of times to give them the auto insurance information ( claim #) and they said they would take care of it. After 3,4 months, here again yesterday I got the same bill from this physician office; looks like the auto insurance company didn't want to pay ( not exactly sure why, could be the physician office sent the bill to my healthcare insurance first and already got part of reimbursement ).
And they even threatened me to turn the account to collection agency. I called Emerson to complain about this, but the hospital said this physician is a contracted external doctor and not a hospital employee; they cannot do anything about it. Even though it is an external physician, why the hospital didn't communicate all the insurance information to physicians that they use. It is horrible that we have to continue dealing with this incident.

Went to psych ward in Fall 2019 for an attempt. Dr. Maxwell is a good psychiatrist. My only problem is when I was being checked out, they did not give me a belonging until I asked for it. Did they want to take it from me? Did they want to "forget"? Are they trying to "steal"? Why would they deliberately give me my belongings and exclude one of them? The belonging: a pink pill box, full of pills.

My daughter recently was seen by Dr Goudie at Emerson's ER recently with an on-going issue. While Children's Hospital was helpful in the initial diagnosis, they gave little sense of importance to a recurrence. Even my daughter's own pediatrician had distanced herself from the situation by telling us she was just avoiding school and we needed to force her to go and not let the school send her home, even when she vomited in class.
Her condition, which started 2 months ago & was initially treated well, had returned and had more recently persisted for over 10 days. Dr Goudie was terrific in communicating with our daughter who was in pain and very upset. Finally, someone took her situation very seriously! His bedside manner, diagnosis & treatment were all spot on as my daughter left feeling validated and more importantly, feel better.
She improved tremendously when she started taking her new prescription and several days later she remains feeling well as we look forward to our appointment with a specialist.

Best food in a hospital so far, I know, I know that's a low bar = hospital food and I agree. But when you're in there and need to eat those small levels make a difference. Let me say as well = all of the people working in the hospitals - cafe workers to maintenance and sanitation to ALL the medical professionals at each level = you are doing an amazing job in an unbelievable, unprecedented time! Thank you and please know that what you do is seen and acknowledged = what little comfort that may be.

Be careful with paying copayments Prior to anything getting tested or a medical test They will take your money apply to a random account at another emerson facility then they will bill you And tell you to prove it I proved called and was told it was applied to a place I have never stepped foot in BEWARE OF EMERSON BILLING ITS A FRAUD!

So, where so I begin? I absolutely love Emerson hospital. I am currently getting ready for a surgery and have to get an EKG done and lab work done. I can't remember the woman that did the EKG, she had blonde hair, I want to say her name might have been Rebecca, same as mine, but she was so laid a back, humble, compassionate happy, and amazing customer service.
I also met Sarah the PA. And she was amazing! Everyone that works there are so sweet too. Keep up the great work.! 5 stars all the way. The only bad thing I could say, would be. please, please, figure out the parking garage, I dont know why we are paying so much if we are patient and need to park. Other then That your team is amazing. Keep up the good work Emerson team!

I brought my almost 2 year old son hear after accidentally putting the wrong eardrops in his ears. I was very terrified and stressed, the ear drops were ototoxic and had the risk of making him lose his hearing. The ER rushed us in and took care of us right away. After the MD reviewed the meds they reassured us that everything would be ok and that my son was at no great risk.
They gave my son a toy and a book to keep and take home which made him calm during the unfamiliar and stressing circumstances. The ER nurse was very empathetic, professional, and caring. We were instructed how to follow up with our ear surgeon and primary MD upon discharge.

Emerson hospital has been terrible in my own and my family's experience. In January 2020 of my uncles was discharged while delirious into freezing weather without shoes. The hospital is next to Rt. 2. He could have died. Early this week my other uncle was admitted to Emerson Hospital because he didn't feel well. They gave him a penicillin based antibiotic when though his chart clearly starts he has a penicillin allergy.
The hospital's negligence caused him to go into cardiac arrest for a full two minutes, leading to resuscitation methods that broke several of his ribs. I will never trust Emerson Hospital with the care of any of my family members again.

First of all the ER facilities are in need of repair. Disgusting. Today 12/3 my 94 year old dad sat in the ER on a cot in the isle way where all ambulance units bring their patients through. It was cold. My dad sat in that hallway for 8plus hours as others walking In were provided with private rooms. He's incontinent so had to use portable urinal in the middle of everyone all day.
They didn't care. They gave me a chair next to my dad and all the nurses in their pit so to speak and for hours I listen to them talk about everything including in general "men's gunk" this place is ridiculous. They need to focus on health care. When my brother came in to see how dad was we were asked to leave the area as it was where emergency patients were coming in.
So disrespectful to people concerned for a dads care but focused on the drama of their personal lives. I was born at Emerson 56 years ago. Luckily I don't use that hospital. I use Milford Hospital where the ER is new, state of the art, as are the medical staff. An Affluent community like concord should have better care.!

Going to Emerson, even for an emergency is like going to the spa compared to other hospitals. The care is excellent, everything is beautifully updated, super clean and doesn't have that weird hospital smell. My daughter and I have been going there for everything since 2006 and we never had a bad experience. If hospitals intimidate you, make the drive to Emerson its well worth it

When I come to Emerson Hospital are usually get very good girl today on Saturday and September 25 I received horrible care. I waited in the emergency room for over an hour in agony and the pain level of 9 to 10. No medicine. They said I was scheduled for a CAT scan, An hour later no CAT scan. They say they're busy I'm in pain I don't know which one is more important. Even though I live in the area I'm gonna be going to MGHI emergency room like I usually do and the heck with Emerson Hospital they owe me an apology.

I was very disappointed with the treatment the front desk gave my daughter making her wait and making her feel not welcome when she mentioned that her throat was itchy I understand that we all have to be cautious about covid. but they should have more training on how to treat a patient without making them feel unwelcome.

Do not go to the emergency room at Emerson Hospital unless you want to be denied help. A few years ago I was triaged by a nurse in the waiting room at the e/r at Emerson for what I knew was a rupturing ovarian cyst. I explained I've experienced them before. His response "When my daughters feel that kind of pain, I tell them to go home and lie down.
You should do the same". After asking this "highly qualified nurse" if he was diagnosing me as simply having menstrual cramps and suggesting that I should not seek a proper diagnosis from a doctor to rule out ovarian torsion, ectopic pregnancy, or an appendicitis, this "highly qualified nurse" changed his tune. Once I was finally allowed to see a doctor by this "highly qualified nurse", it was determined that indeed a cyst on my ovary had most likely burst as there was a pooling of fluid found around my ovary.

Don't let a nurse anywhere give your family member Distilled water to drink. Like drinking salt water, instead of the body taking in the water to replenish itself, when you swallow distilled water, the water from the body will go into the stomach or intestines to dilute the salt or distilled water. That will give you terrible diarrhea. My mother had a feeding tube inserted in her stomach.
They gave her distilled water. They were just trying to be helpful and didn't know. She had diarrhea bad enough for two days that she needed a bag or two of salene in her arm.

The hospital is mostly fine. However my issue is with their satellite at 490 Post Rd. Sudbury which my physician referred me to. I arrived in plenty of time for a blood draw (taking an early lunch). However, the office is at the back of an office park with poor signage. I went to several other buildings before being directed to the correct building. As I approached the door a worker ran to lock it as they closed for lunch. No explanation, just a 'get lost'.

Labor and delivery great! BILLING NIGHTMARE CAUSING OUR SONS WELL CHILD VISITS TO BE DENIED. Do yourself a favor, unless you want months of phone calls where you talk in circles, go elsewhere. So sad because labor and delivery doctors and nurses were AMAZING. Have been fighting to have this fixed since JULY. My account would have gone to collections, but my primary care is holding it out of courtesy for me because I'M NOT THE ONLY PERSON IN THEIR PRACTICE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO. Meanwhile my son is missing his 1 year well child visit which we pay for top of the line insurance to cover. And they can't. I'm so angry I am sick over this.

The communication is horrible here if you have someone in for a procedure. There is no phone number to call and no communication with the staff WHAT SO EVER! I've been waiting 7 hours for my husband- the doc was late and my husband is still in recovery- I have NO updates and no # to call! And yes, they have my phone number!

Since Covid has taken over, I will say that after a seizure the Emergency Room was a complete and utter joke. So many nurses not wearing masks, so many without gloves. Many people don't know what they are doing. If you have a broken bone, go. But, it's a war zone. How they have treated patients is disgusting.

Spent a few days in the maternity ward following the delivery of our fourth. On a positive note, the nurses and doctors were for the most part very helpful and friendly for our extended stay. I do have a critical recommendation, however, the chairs in the postpartum section are terrible. For breastfeeding mothers, this is not a good way to start them off. For the partners, like myself, who sat in these chairs for hours holding the wee baby - ouch.

Just went through a long Relationship with Emerson, I had a procedure that took about 4-5 months from start to finish so there were lots of visits here to Emerson. It was a very nice location, ample parking (yet some not free), nice staff. From what I was told the Kitchen was decent ( I didnt eat during my stay). All the Drs & Nurses I had worked with were nice for the most part!
