Dr Killebrew is awesome and the only reason I still go here for appointments. I had a conversation with a nurse who invalidated my pain, told me it was impossible that I had endometriosis, and dismissed my concerns about my cycle and symptoms. Dr. Killebrew prescribed me a medication for endometriosis treatment that same visit. My only negative comment overall is that no one takes you seriously if you claim to never want children.
I hate constantly being told that I'll either change my mind when I'm older or have a partner who wants children and I should provide. If this wasn't the only office I've been to that has taken my endometriosis complaints seriously, I would go somewhere else that does not push a baby agenda on someone who doesn't want to be a parent.

During a sensitive time FULL of uncertainties for me- your staff in your Fayetteville office spoke about me like I'm stupid as though I couldn't hear them through the door. I've been talked down to since I came and sat down in my room 10-15 minutes ago. My midwife Angela and the lady at the front desk were the nicest and most informative. When women don't believe other women- there is a problem. This is ridiculous.

Spoke with Tonya in the billing department. As soon as she thought she hung up the phone she started talking bad about me with the other women in the room. I said we are still on the phone and she just hung up. Extremely unprofessional and embarrassing on Tonya's part. There are so many people who need jobs, hire people who actually value work and have respect for themselves and other people. People like Tonya (in the billing department) should find a different job if that's how they treat others.

I called to schedule a first Pregnancy appt I've been looking for a while! I never had to go through so much and been fighting since November to find a place and the person doing scheduling was so rude! After I told her how far long I was she says we aren't accepting patience's due in June or July I told her I'm due in may and she says well your to far long. I have never! I used to go to southern crescent for my first daughter amazing experience! The scales I have definitely changed and went down.

At this point, I am not sure if it is Covid-19 fatigue or just a lack of urgency and care. I was told in August that I needed surgery. I have received many excuses and delays since. The first was "let's wait 30 more days and see". The second, "the hospital is only allowing one operating room, so you can have the consult but your going to have to wait".
The third maybe you need to "see another specialist before we schedule." After everything that was proposed was done, I played phone tag with the Surgery Scheduler for weeks. If I wasn't at their mercy, I would have changed providers by now. I final have a surgery date scheduled for December. I will start the new year with a new physician.

Southern Crescent Women's Healthcare is currently holding $3,000 of mine and has for the last two months. I was with this office from the time I found out I was pregnant until about 23 weeks. Based on my insurance and my high deductible, SCWH required just under $3,000 from me by my 20-week appointment. This total was to pay for the remaining OB fees for the rest of my pregnancy.
Before we paid this total, my husband and I asked what happened if we decided to transfer or we're no longer in need of their services. We were told that it would take 4 to 6 weeks but we would get a check in the form of a refund. We paid the amount owed, but did make the decision to transfer a few weeks later. I began the transfer process the first week of August and when I called to confirm that they had transferred my records and would start the refund process, was told that they had a policy where they would not do anything with my insurance or funds for 30 days.
This policy was non-negotiable and not mentioned to me prior to this point. For 30 days they sat on our $3,000 payment before they would file any insurance or begin the refund process. After the 30-day period, they did file the claim with my insurance, to which I immediately followed up to ensure they would begin cutting us a check. I was told it would take another 4 to 6 weeks while we were waiting on this check.
I've called a couple different times and it seems that every time I call something new happens on the day that I call, and nothing is actually being done. it is now Monday October 11th and has been over 2 months since I requested a transfer and requested my $3,000 back. The billing department has been less than helpful and keeps using the words"process" and "procedure".

This practice is absolutely horrible. I was hoping to see a doctor considering I'm 14 weeks pregnant and have yet to see one because appointments are so booked and because of the type of insurance I have, but instead of telling me the types of Medicaid they do/don't except they scheduled me anyways. I waited 3 weeks to be seen and once I get there I'm told they don't except that insurance.
Not only did I waste my time but I could've gotten in somewhere else or booked with another practice. If you knew there were certain types of insurance that y'all excepted that should have been stated when I specified the type of insurance I have. Absolutely no excuse for that and it needs to be addressed and fixed. Hope this doesn't happen to anybody else!

I have been going here since I first found out I was pregnant. I am now halfway through my pregnancy and have not had a single negative experience. They have been very informative and if I have any additional questions (which I typically do since this is my first pregnancy) they have been very patient and explained thoroughly. Every appointment I have had I have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes and I have had appointments in the morning and the afternoon.
Every staff member I have spoken with has been completely kind and welcoming. If I have questions in between appointments, I am able to speak with a nurse and have again, never had any issues with that as well. I'm not sure if they have changed policies or staff members but my experience has been nothing like the other reviews honestly everyone has been great! If things change I will be sure to update. but so far so good!
