Services
Patient-centered care requires expert listeners. Our providers are here to listen to your concerns and needs, creating a care plan or recommending preventive care that works for you. Providing advice for your health maintenance and illness or injury prevention is an important part of our role as your healthcare providers.
Using the FollowMyHealth tool, patients can directly communicate with any Lakewood Family Medicine providers and manage their health information in a secure environment. Please note that we require a photo ID and a signed form in order for parents or guardians to access a minor's (children under age 18) health records.
Our professional, expert staff are equipped to care for you through every stage of life and health concern. Lakewood Family Medicine physicians can care for and treat patients from the womb all the way through end of life care. As a one-stop shop for healthcare services, we count it a privilege to care for your entire family: children, parents and grandparents.
As a full-service family medicine practice, our providers can provide care for a wide variety of life stages, including pregnancy, reproductive care and other women's health preventive screenings. At the beginning of your pregnancy, you will meet with our OB nurse to outline both your and our expectations for prenatal, delivery and postpartum care.

Quite silly that one can be on hold for.so long, just trying to schedule a new appointment!

I've been going to this place for 15 years & will never go back. Wouldn't call in a prescription for sinus infection without in person appt. Obviously they like to get the extra money for visits versus taking care of patients.

I have been going to LFM for maybe 20 years now and I have never had a bad experience. I love my doctor who I have had since he started there, and he and I have such a wonderful relationship. Never a problem with refills, scheduling, or referrals. I would most definitely rate them number 1 in Holland.

The front desk staff isn't the greatest, However I give Dr. Ethan Morrical 5 out of 5 stars! I'd highly recommend him to anyone in need of a primary care physician.

I am always treated with respect and caring. Dr Beth Peter is the best Dr I have had in Ottawa County, The nurses and lab staff always listening and caring also. Thank you for being here.

I always get right in when I need to. The only times I don't see my regular Dr or PA is because I need to get in sooner than they have openings. It happens as does life. Very responsive to my needs. They listen well, they just don't jump to conclusions. If a specialist is needed they have never hesitated to send me to one. I have been going here for a very long time (over 40 years). I have seen many of the Dr.'s and PA's, I have never been disappointed. I can't say enough how great everyone is.

Went there for most of my life. I do have to say I don't hate them but they seem to only care about pain management and how much pills they can offer you. I went in for years with abdominal pain and my doctor basically told me the pain was in my head because she couldn't "find anything" just to find out years later that I have severe endometriosis.

Also had gallbladder issues and had to basically keep asking to be checked. Eventually I had to get my gallbladder out and one ovary removed. But I felt so frustrated because I went to my doctor here for help and got no answers. I honestly wouldn't recommend going back to them if they can't find something the first time. Go to Zeeland.

We've seen many if not all of the providers at LFM over the years and have never had a bad experiance! The doctors and nurses provide personalized care and always take the time to get to know us as a family. They answer questions and aren't afaid to take a little extra time. I especially recomend Dr. Bruxvoort as an OB - after delivering one child at a large OB practice- the personal attention and care we recieved at LFM for both my and my kids was outstanding.

Never had a problem the last couple years seeing Dr Gustafson. Great doctor, actually listens to me and has helped a lot. I had to be sent to a pulmonary doctor last summer because he thought I might have asthma. I do.

Doctors are ok when you can see them, 9 times out of 10 you won't ever see your doctor though, they use nurses for almost everything. And good luck getting an appointment or refilling a prescription you will wait on hold for 2 minutes and then get forwarded to an answering machine. It is impossible to talk to a person on the phone when you call, unless you have the patience of a saint and are willing to call back a dozen or so times. I have taken my medical needs to a doctor and staff that I can speak to when I have a question.
