This hospital is the most messed up place I've ever seen. My son was just there for covid they wouldn't let his girlfriend sign him in or go back with him cause he was a "possible" covid case. Once he test positive and they discharged him they just wheeled him right outside with a elderly gentleman knowing he was positive and waiting on his ride cause he couldn't drive himself.
Great hospital huh. Possible covid can't go in with him test positive and puts him in the parking lot. Don't suggest anyone to go there. I know I won't. From now on my family will go to Forysth or Baptist.

The emergency room at this hospital is a joke! If you have a family member with a mental issue, keep going. The staff make fun of them and are mean to them. They have no idea how to handle mental issues. The psychiatrist that is on call must not ever deal with real issues, maybe he just helps rich ladies who are stressing because they broke a fingernail.

My husband had Covid and couldn't breathe, we went in and was there maybe 2 hours, they gave him a CT Scan and took blood, we got the bill in the mail and it was 7037.76, which is absolutely ridiculous! They charged 4000.00 for a CT Scan! You can go to Winston Salem Imaging Center and get them for 500.00. If you go there they will rip you off, especially if you have insurance!

I went in because my son gave me RSV, and urgent care had a 2hr wait. I was pretty positive that I knew what I had before I came in, but figured that a simple RSV/COVID/Flu test shouldn't be an issue just to be sure. They put me in some make-shift "triage" that they set up, swabbed me in some empty storage closet, the doctor came in and acted like I had the plague (wouldn't get within 6 feet of me) and just told me to wait 30 minutes for the results. An hour and a half later (sitting at the 3 hour mark now, ) after the auto sensor lights turned off on me 3x, and no one had checked on me in 45+ minutes, I hit the call button to tell them I'm leaving and to just call me with the results.
The nurse leaves, then comes back and tells me the test had been done and it was positive for RSV, they'd send me in some meds and I could leave. Fast forward to the bill, they send me this $278 (after insurance) bill like 2 weeks later. I decide to see what my insurance "we paid.you may owe" bill says.get this, says it paid all but $119. That's a huge difference!
And this isn't the first time they have billed me for more than I owe. My kid is on BCBS and Medicaid as a supplement, and they bill me for him. I wrote them a letter saying they need to check that again because Medicaid covers EVERYTHING that Blue Cross doesn't, and no more bills have been seen for that. Watch this place, they will screw you over. I'll drive to Winston before I ever go here again.

They are very strict on enforcement of their Covid policies. That is great in my book. It's simple science. Anyhow, my mom had a procedure performed at this hospital yesterday. She goes back again tomorrow. It's only 32 miles from our property in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is over an hour drive, but the patient care here is much better than Galax or Whythville. I'm not sure anyone likes a hospital visit. If you must go though, pick a good one.

I absolutely loved my stay at the birth center. Everyone was on top of everything and gentle, kind, very understanding, helpful and very encouraging. I Loved all the nurses who took care of me and my son here. Midwife Kristy Whiteside's was absolutely amazing! And made me feel very comfortable during all the checks and during the birth of my son. It was very comfortable especially for me who has never stayed in a hospital as a patient before. Everyone was very professional.
