Services
Vitrectomy may be performed to clear blood and debris from the eye, to remove scar tissue, or to alleviate traction on the retina. These things (blood, debris, etc.) can obscure light as it passes through the eye to the retina, resulting in blurred vision. The vitreous gel is also removed. Most laser surgery of the eye does not require any special preparations.

I want to acknowledge Karen Medina and Angel Shibu (Irving Clinic)for their excellent "bedside manner ". Both ladies treated my mom, who is 90 years old with dignity and respect. Angel took special care to speak loudly and make eye contact with my mom. She was patient and never got frustrated. Our family truly appreciates this.

Do not use Dr. Shashi Dharma. She lacks competency and gave me an inaccurate diagnosis with no context and zero bedside manner. After a poor experience, I sought out a Retina Specialist group (top rated group in DFW). The Retina Specialist group knew of her and told me the best thing I could do was to tell my optometrist to "never" recommend her again.
I called my optometrist and relayed to him and he thanked me as he had another group and other complaints as well. Doctors rarely to never criticize another doctor. So when the retina group (both doctor and tech) knew of her (Dr. Shashi Dharma) from more than just my experience, enough to inform me, that says they have had lots of other patients with other bad experiences. I would not want anyone else to go through the anguish I experienced so please steer clear of Dr. Shashi Dharma.

The wait time is a little long and the assistance at the Irving office not my favorite i had much better luck at the Corinth office. However dr. Dharma herself is very good I had suffered from Retina disease for years with no diagnosis however first visit she had all the answers. She is very straight forward and to the point. I trust her and will be continuing my care through her.
