I went to Anthem website to find an in-network provider and result came up w Dr. LIU at Illinois Street location in Fresno. I called to schedule an appt on my lunch break, 12:30pm, but their office is closed for lunch between 12:30-1:30pm! After finally being able to get through to someone, I was placed on hold for several minutes (this happened each time I called).
I explained that I wanted to sch an appt w Dr LIU, they took my insurance information & explained to me that I needed to wait up to 24 hours for them to run my insurance. I was told that I would get a call back to schedule an appt. A week passed and no return call. I called back & again I was told that they had to run my insurance, they said they had nothing on file for me. Frustrated as I was, I still gave them my information again and waited for the return phone call.
Three days later I did NOT hear back, I called them a 3rd time and again they did NOT have my information and asked to run my insurance AGAIN - 3rd time! Unbelievable! I haven't even made my appt at this point. I did get a return call two days later, they left a voicemail, but I had trouble calling when they were NOT at lunch because my lunch hour is at the same time as theirs!
I finally got in touch with them & made an appt. When my appt date was approaching I called them back to verify the address, they told me that they did NOT schedule me w/ Dr. LIU, they scheduled me with Dr LEE! WOW! They had to change my appt time and apologized. I finally made it to the long-awaited appt but I did not have my physical medical ID card with me, I had a digital copy on my phone.
I was turned away because they would not accept my digital card. Mind you, I had my valid CA DL with me, they had already run my insurance 3 times but per their "policy" they would not see me without the physical card! I asked to see the policy language about this member Id card and they could not provide anything. I was escalated to Yong Lee by Reyna but at that point they all had made up their mind that they would not see me because I could not present the physical Anthem Blue cross medical ID card.
I was calm and professional the entire time, I asked if there was anything that they could do because it was very difficult for me to schedule time off from work but they simply refused and stopped listening to me. It was a disappointment, a complete waste of my time and energy in trying to seek medical attention with a doctor, who I read, was highly acclaimed. Makes me wonder how true that is with the lack of customer service and insensitivity her staff provides.
I can't imagine patients would want to return after the way they are treated, especially at the Illinois location. I witnessed other patients as they were being checked in. I wonder if I would have had the same experience if Dr Liu's office was located in North Fresno. Such a shame!

Unorganized and Unprofessional. My doctor referred me here for an OBGYN. This seems to be a front for an OBGYN office cause I have yet seen an OBGYN and I've had three scheduled appointments. Each time I waited over an hour to be seen, my second appointment that was only to scheduled an ultrasound was a TWO hour wait. Yep, I had an appointment to scheduled an appointment and that took TWO hours.
I came in for my third scheduled appointment to have the ultrasound results read to me by the OBGYN--who wasn't there-even though this was scheduled weeks out. I received no phone call to reschedule. Instead I took the day off to come in only to be told at the office. This is NOT a real OBGYN office. The receptionist told me that the doctors schedule is unpredictable, so there's no way to really know when she's going to actually be in the office-despite a scheduled appointment. I agree with the previous review that this place may be a scam to bill insurance companies. It's a poorly run clinic at best. It's is not an OBGYN office.

This place is a scam. I scheduled an appointment with a doctor but saw a practitioner. I have to come back to get my results in person and they charge for that as well. The facility also is far away from a legitimate medical office. I was getting asked personal medical questions in the lobby instead of the room. Disappointing low quality medical care.

I have only been here three times and two of them they I came for nothing but pretty sure they charge the insurance I'm outside trying to get the authorization to go through they had another a week and they made the appointment but did not get a authorization first I drove here and waste my time for nothing they made me take an ultrasound that I did not need too and they are unable to give me the results of my Pap smear I told them I was not able to come Another day I work and can't just lose my days like this for nothing do not come here they make you loose your time and order things you don't need because they are to lazy to get the information from primary doctors
