Minden Medical Center planted its roots in 1926, as a four-story building with only an x-ray department, one operating room, a room for tonsillectomies and adenoidectomies, one delivery room, 80 hospital beds and a strong commitment to quality healthcare. Today, it has blossomed into a 161-bed acute care hospital serving a population of more than 70,000. It is the only hospital in the southern portion of Webster Parish. More than 1,600 people each month seek emergency care in our emergency facility.
Known as the "Friendliest City in the South, " Minden, Louisiana combines all the advantages of a small community - friendly people, good schools and low crime - with the many benefits of being just a short drive from the major metropolitan areas of Shreveport and Bossier. Founded in 1835, Minden, LA is located among the gentle rolling hills and lakes of northwestern Louisiana.

*Update: I recently visited the ER at Minden Medical Center, and it was very noticeable that the Caucasian employees do not communicate, respectfully with their African American coworkers. There was a particular nurse that caught my attention. His first name is Tim, he works on the morning shift, he may be 57 at approximately 40 years old. He was very unprofessional to his African American coworker.
Basically if you're African American, try very hard to secure a job that is not at Minden Medical Center. Minden Medical Center's Caucasian employees are very prejudice. In order for you to see that my comments are true, take a look at some of the pictures that are posted on Minden Medical Center's Facebook page. There is alot of Caucasian employees, but not many African American employees.
Never ever ever ever go to this hospital. This entire establishment is a joke. The Emergency room is terrible, only come to the ER if Dr. Chanler is working! Most of the employees, are prejudice towards all minorities. The employees are extremely rude, inconsiderate, and lack compassion for their patients. They don't care about elderly individuals or children.
They actually put African American patients last. This is all coming from me witnessing how the employees interacted with an African American family, and a Caucasian family. I witnessed the employees tell the African American family, they could not visit their family member. About 30 minutes later, an employee let the Caucasian family go back with their loved one.
The employees don't have any social skills whatsoever. They all seem to not want to be at their place of work. They are a disgrace to the medical field. The ER takes their sweet time, when responding to emergencies outside. They display lack of interest, in life threatening situations. The waiting rooms are disgusting. The bathrooms are so nasty, and they seem to never get cleaned.
The trash cans are always overflowing with filthy trash, and sometimes bodily fluids. The last time I used one of Minden Medical Center's restrooms, I was greeted with bile movement on the floor. Not to mention, there was urine all over the toilet seat. The floors are covered with dirt and shoe trackings. It is a death sentence to visit this hospital.
You may never go home, if you leave it could be in a body bag. If you are not feeling well, try your very best to visit a hospital somewhere else. My true rating is a zero, but that wasn't an option. This hospital is filled with incompetent employee's!

I will choose to die before going to ER. Other than Dr. Chanler, these are the most uncaring people I've seen. I arrived in an ambulance and my chart said I walked in unassisted. I have had neurological issues where I couldn't speak or walk and the assistants treated me like I was a dopehead and I have NEVER used drugs! I don't know when health care workers lose caring and compassion but, most of them lose it!

Everyone confused, one person was told person had Covid, next day someone else was told test was giving, but take 8 days for Results, and told another he didnt have Covid next day released from the hospital So what is the true answer? Why mislead? Why get different answers on each day? We wonder why Covid continues maybe this is WHY
