Normal foot and ankle function is vital to good health. Many times people become accustom to foot pain and brush it aside as a "fact of life." The pain then slowly erodes your ability to participate in exercise or every day activities. If you are experiencing any of these conditions, don't ignore it.
We work hard to eliminate the hassles of insurance procedures and billing difficulties. By utilizing electronic claims and submissions, our billing office completes the insurance process quickly and efficiently. What are the thick areas of skin on my feet and toes? A. You're probably talking about CORNS and/or CALLUSES which generally develop over areas that take a lot of pressure like on the big toe, the pads of the foot and the heel. They can also be the result of ill-fitting shoes. Corns generally form between the toes.

While visiting Abingdon, my toenail began hurting badly. Abingdon Foot and Ankle was able to get me in the same morning I called. It was infected and the nail was removed immediately. I felt very confident in the whole process & recovery has gone just as Dr Mazzei said. I feel extremely blessed to have found such great care while away from home.

Dr. Mazzei is wonderful. I've literally cried every night for a week because I was in so much pain. I was so nervous because I didn't know if I would have to get a painful shot or be told that there was nothing he could do for me. He made getting an injection in the foot tolerable, eased my pain and worry, and sent me shoe shopping. What's not to love! Thank you very much!

Dr. Mazzei removed a splinter from our son's foot that was causing him significant pain and which several adults in my family had been unable to remove. He skillfully studied the situation for a minute and then got it out in less than 30 seconds. The procedure was extremely quick not because it was easy but because Dr. Mazzei is the Jedi Master of podiatry, with all the best skills and tools. As a bonus, my 3 year old really liked him. I highly recommend Abingdon Foot and Ankle Clinic!
