Gerig Surgical Associates began in 1989, founded by Dr. Eldon Lavern Gerig. At the time, Dr. Gerig had been in private practice in Mishawaka, Indiana, since 1961. He was a true general surgeon, setting fractures, performing gynecologic, thoracic, vascular and abdominal surgery. He even made house calls. His integrity, surgical skills, work ethic and calm nature won the hearts of thousands of patients and hospital staff alike. His dedication to the art of surgery and his respect for all people, regardless of social status, financial class or race, became the core of Gerig Surgical Associates.

Dr Ranzinger and his team were awesome. I walked in Monday I'd had a hernia for 8 years and it had traveled across the lower part of my stomach, I was in so much pain Dr Ranzinger saw the pain that I was in, and immediately set me up for surgery the next day. The surgery went off without a hitch and now 5 hours after the surgery, and while it's true I'm in pain I'm not in nearly the pain I could have been.
I could not have asked for a better team, and I could not recommend a better team call Greig surgical, let them look at you soon enough so that you don't have to go through the pain I did. A cash deposit is required however it's well worth it.

Dr. Dew is absolutely in arrogant man. He does not want to listen to the patient. He lacks compassion. He is very cold and not at all personable. He would rather argue and the little instead of trying to sympathize or understand where someone is coming from. I definitely do not recommend him nor this business that tolerates the way he handles people.

Two triple hernia surgeries later im so crippled up that its difficult to even walk! Finally found a surgeon in Carmel to remove mesh. He said mesh wasn't put in correctly the first time and these people slapped another layer on top of it. These people also said it was my imagination and the pain would get better-ive been on disability for almost 8 years now! BEWARE is all I can say.
