I have been seeing orthopedists at BCOS since about 2011. Dr. Vikoren replaced both of my knees, eight years apart. One of my first experiences with Dr. V was when I was scheduled for a knee 'scope at the old health and wellness center and there was a problem with the ventilation system in the OR there. Dr. V drove me in his own car to Doylestown Hospital in order to get the procedure done that day.
But anyway, it seems lately that BCOS has gone through a growth spurt, occupying the Kelly Drive offices as well as the Ambulatory Building at the hospital. At my recent 10:15 AM appointment with Dr. Peacock at Kelly Drive, I wasn't called back to my appointment until about 10:30. I was accompanied to the exam room by a nurse who took notes on my condition, etc., then left to get the doctor, and I sat in the exam room until about 11:00, thinking I had been forgotten. The visit with Dr. Peacock was fine, but I just felt like a tiny cog in a big wheel. That personalized service that I was so used to from Dr. V seems to have vanished.

Dr. Sean Butler and Dr Andrew Ritting are the best. I have been all over with not much help. They both are down to earth and friendly, answered all questions that older people ask. Sean fixed my back and neck. Still good to this day. Older roofer and farmer here. He gave me my life Back. Dr Andrew Ritting was the ONLY Doctor to help me with my elbow bursitis I was in pain every day.
I have a new outlook on life. Surgery worked awesome. No other Dr. would do anying but drain the fluid. I felt better the day after surgery. Both Doctors and the nurses called me the next day to see how I was doing. That's kind of unheard of today. They gave me my life back. Plus no pain medication. The whole staff is AWESOME. So much better than a hospital setting, plus back home in a few hours. Thumbs up to Donna and the whole staff from scheduling to the clean housekeeping facility. Its spotless. Please give this place a try. You won't be sorry. Plus the anesthesia Dr. was awesome. He did a great job.

I typically don't leave too many reviews but I hope my positive experience helps someone in cooking this particular practice and provider. Came in discouraged due to constant pain and a recent epidural not giving me relief. I had never seen Ashleigh before but any apprehension I had quickly went away. She was kind and empathetic as she listened to my frustration. She addressed all my concerns, laid out my options clearly and was very honest with regards to the best path forward. I'm grateful to have her be a part of my care.

At my initial appointment, he was careful to explain what he saw in the x-ray of my shoulder, and to test the range of motion of my arm. He suggested physical therapy and to return thereafter to see if it improved my condition. After several weeks of PT, I returned for a follow-up appointment and we were both happy with my improvement.

Ashleigh is very professional, with specific knowledge Of my broken back situation. Her explanations of my first treatment were fully understandable regarding the extended damage to the areas involved. She agreed with me that a second steroid shot may add to the continued relief I received after the first shot. So, I have scheduled # 2 for March 15,2022.
I explained how much my whole back hurts badly in other areas as well. So I believe a third injection will follow, especially because the lump on my left side hasn't disappeared.

Excellent service. Dr. Boylan performed an ACL knee reconstruction of which my son has been recovering exceptionally well, and I'd say at a great speed! Slightest incision marks.you wouldn't be able to tell he had surgery done! follow up has been as expected and doctor is very attentive. Very happy with this provider and staff and beautiful office

Jonathan is GREAT! I arrived with a great deal of knee pain complicated by a very large Baker's Cyst at the back of the same knee than made any knee movement VERY painful. Jonathan drained the cyst on the spot and then injected my bone-on-bone knee with a "new" steroid. He also helped me solve a problem I was having with my knee brace. In less than 24 hours I was walking very comfortably! Jonathan was very helpful and competent, and all was done with grace and good humor.

I got injured on 5/30/2021 and my shoulder was broke in 3 different places and i asked for surgery right off the bat and they said the bones are lined up and let's wait Doctor Cody said eat a lot of dairy products.and come back in 4 weeks.so i did and appointment after appointment went for second opinion after 7 months of pain.they said my bone has splinter off and i need a reverse shoulder replacement and they don't do that type of surgery.so i go back to Doctor Cody and he brushed me off and told me to go somewhere else for my surgery.because i hurt his feelings by getting another opinion.now I'm in a lot of pain and trying to find a doctor who does this type of surgery and takes my insurance.

I have had a number of excellent experiences with BCOS over the years. I was recently highly impressed when Jeffery Kummery, who consulted with me regarding prep for an upcoming surgical proceedure, took time to respond to a question AFTER HOURS on his personal cell phone. The care and responsiveness of the entire staff is highly commendable.

Jonathan Hirsch is a superb practitioner at Bucks County Orthopedic Specialists. He is personable, extremely knowledgeable, and takes a highly professional approach with his patients. When I call to make an appointment that doesn't warrant Dr. Cody's attention, I always ask to see Jonathan Hirsch! In my book, he is first rate!

My physician is Dr Sthalekar he has been very helpful and informative on helping me with my medical condition. He takes the time to explain my options and makes sure that I understand them as well. The entire practice is very inviting and clean. The staff is very helpful. If they need time to get an answer for you instead of leaving you on a long hold they ask to call you back. Anytime they have asked to call me back they have. I highly recommend this facility for any orthopedic services you may need. I have been extremely happy. Kathleen J. New Hope

Bucks County Ortho probably saved my life last year. I went to them with what I thought was a degenerated disc in my lower back. The MRI showed a mass in my spine which turned out to be metas- tasized kidney cancer for which I had had a total nephrectomy on my left side back in 1989. Obviously a slow growing cancer, thank goodness, although now inoperable.
Currently in recovery from spinal fusion surgery, I've developed severe pain in right wrist. I got a very quick appointment with Dr. Yung Park at Bucks County Ortho, who diagnosed it as tendonitis and gave me a steroid shot at the site. It is now two days later and my wrist feels 90% normal. He was very attentive, answered my questions fully, and made me feel cared for. I recommend him highly.

I was very happy with my experience here! I called in pain and they were able to find an appointment for me to see Dr. Cody the next day. He was very nice and took the time to understand my problem and discuss possible solutions. They helped me schedule my tests and a follow up appointment. Highly recommend.

I am very shocked at the one star rating, unfortunately, those people had bad experiences but, I saw Dr. Griffith and she is incredible to say the least. She is personable, knowledgable, and I do not have one complaint about her or the staff. Dr. Griffith performed surgery on my knee, all went well, I just went for my follow up and on the road to recovery.
I am VERY selective about my doctors and she is one of the best. Im sorry for the other people who were not satisfied with their care at this practice, but, Dr. Griffith is the BEST!

Please do not go here! They were 1st tier in my insurance, so I went to Dr. Handy. He misdiagnosed my knee injury & sold me $1,000 visco shots that I didn't need. I now know that I had a loose body of cartilage floating around in my knee the whole time & was in need of emergency surgery to remove it. Luckily I went to Aria 3B Health to Art Bartolozzi and he helped me.
Because of Dr. Handy's negligence and visco shot cash-grab I was on crutches for 7 months. I was level-headed and trusting, but Handy talked to me like I was an overly-dramatic woman with a minor injury. In addition to this, I was scheduled with the wrong doctor on my follow-up appointment & no one could explain why this happened. I'll include photos of the dirty exam table on one of the mornings of my OrthoVisc injections. Exam tables should always be clean, of course, but I found this particularly surprising because I was the first patient of the day.

I had gone to various practitioners at MCBH Ortho when I lived in Doylestown. I think that Dr. Mackell was excellent, very honest, forthcoming and helpful advice about my ankle condition which I greatly appreciated. That meant a lot to me, how his honesty helped me with a surgical procedure down the road, I truly respect that. I had seen other practitioners here, some who I felt more comfortable with than others.
They were the first to introduce me to SynVisc injections which really helped my knees. My only reason for giving 4 stars rather than 5 is that I felt more comfortable with some staff than others and I think that could have been improved upon, I did feel pressured into having a procedure which I later decided not to have. Again, I do truly appreciate Dr. Mackell's sincere honesty and candid advice which made a world of difference in my ankle procedure. I have a lot of respect for him, his honesty and his great bedside manners.

Waited over one hour to see Dr Butler. I wanted to leave. I ended up having to cancel 2 of my own appointments. However, you have to pre-pay your co-payment so they kind of have you as an hostage. I am in the service business. I wish I could charge people upfront before the service is rendered. But, I am not a doctor and they are the only ones I know who do this.
What a racket. When you have a business model built on greed in which doctors overbook and you end up waiting, this is what happens. As patients we appear to have no value except a dollar value. Shame on them. Reprehensible would be too kind a word.

Tried to book an appointment with Dr Handy since he was back from Military TDY but office said no way and Handy did the surgery as well as a great doc. His associates are not good. So unless Handy n Jon leave to go somewhere good this practice only gets a zero. Tell all my FF friends n military friends this is NOT a place you want to be treated at. Wanted to give them a zero star but no can do. Find a Doc that takes their job seriously and cares.

Booked my appointment with Dr. Butler. First saw Sandra Brice, PA. I was not too impressed with her personality and conversation skills. She was blunt, direct, and cold. When she finished, a nurse came in with 2 scripts for MRI's, cervical and lumbar spine. Nothing for thoracic. I asked, and was told that between the two images, they could see the thoracic spine.
As I was being ushered out, I asked, "do I get to see Dr. Butler, you know the one I made my appointment with?" It seemed to me that meeting with Dr. Butler was all but forgotten. Upon meeting him, I almost wished I didn't. As I was telling him my symptoms and areas of pain, he was telling me where I should be feeling pain.because it's in the textbooks and he only works with science. Doctor. I'm a fan of science and validity too.but when dealing with patients, I suggest you listen first. Don't they teach you to listen in med school? Regardless, I went to get my "MRI" today and was told they will not image the thoracic area of the spine. So, guess what?
I need a third script! (Didn't I ask about that?). And whose time, money and resources have been wasted yet again? Not the doctors - for sure. I've been on the phone, driving to offices wasting my work day, time, gas, and money.and I still don't have a diagnosis, an image, pain relief, or a good feeling about my medical care. I love Susan Griffith at this practice (my kids see her), but after meeting once (years ago/different issue) with Dr. Boylan and now this yahoo. I just don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about this practice. Too much God complex, not enough patient centered care. Well. I guess you get what you pay for!
