I got LASIK done a month ago and can't say enough about Turner Eye Institute, it's facilities, and it's doctors. They were great in making me feel comfortable and answering any questions I had in order to help me along the process. They were so accommodating that I had an emergency check up (I poked myself in the eye as I was putting on a set of glasses and thought I might have done something to my eye) and they got me in the next morning and checked everything out. Thankfully all was well. Based on my experience with them, I can see myself using them for my normal check ups moving forward. If you have been thinking about LASIK, see the doctor's at Turner.you'll be glad you did.

I was first a department of Social Svcs.consultant who arranged appointments for needy referrals in the late 80s when I learned of Dr. Turner's Bay Area reputation and excellent regard. In recent times when my mother needed laser surgery, I did not hesitate to utilize his clinic, nor for my own special care. I know firsthand that he serves the whole spectrum of humanity of the East Bay without flash, pomp or the big dollar sign or television plug.

Waited for one hour in the lobby even I have a confirmed appointment. Finally, I was passed into one of the consultation rooms, where a doctor assistant did initial preparation for dilation of my eyes putting some eyes drop and told me doctor Wu will see me in five minutes. After 40 minutes, Dr. Wu showed up and said the eyes drop effect has dissipated, then she applied more eyes drop to dilate my eyes.
After another 15 minutes, she came back to do her examination of my eyes and prescribed me medication for future use. After I left her clinic, I was not able to see the sunlight or any brilliant object and my eyes were in pain for 5 days. I would not recommend this clinic to nobody.

In January, I had my corneas removed by Dr. Patel and his staff. In addition, he inserted corrective interocular lenses to correct a lifetime of near-sightedness. I now see better than I can ever remember without wearing glasses or contacts. The entire procedure was painless and the folks at the San Leandro Surgical Center were extremely pleasant. The entire experience was as good as I expected it to be.
