Did you know the foot has 26 bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments, 19 muscles, and numerous tendons? These parts all work together to allow the foot to move in a variety of ways while balancing your weight and propelling you forward or backward on even or uneven surfaces. It is no wonder that 75 percent of all Americans will experience foot problems at one point or another in their lifetimes.

Awesome experience! We took our son here for an ingrown toenail. Dr. Whitfield has an amazing bedside manner, keeping you informed every step of the way. He's great with nervous patients/parents! The procedure was quick and painless. The staff was very friendly and the office was nice and clean. Highly recommend.

I went to another foot specialist for bunions and was told that I had to get a fusion on the joint of my left foot. Knowing that fusion will likely limit my ability to run, I got a second opinion. Doctor James Whitfield looked at the images from the other docter and said, absolutely not because there was still space between my bones but what I need is lapiplasty.
It seemed easy to trust his opinion because he is not doing the surgery but sending me to UT Southwestern Medical Center for a different doctor to do the surgery. Seems to be a really good foot doctor!

Dr. Whitfield was so patient and kind with my son. He communicated with him during the entire ingrown toenail procedure to help make him comfortable and relaxed, even made some funny jokes to make him laugh.. We had a negative experience with another doctor a few years ago, and I was hesitate about Podiatriats ever since, but Dr. Whitfield has renewed my trust in Podiatry.

Would give this place ZERO stars if I could. I called a week prior regarding how much my visit might cost. Was told I would receive and call back and when that didn't happen i followed up. A receptionist by the name of Angela was extremely rude when I called and literally asked me DONT YOU KNOW YOUR CO PAY DIDNT YOU FILL IT OUT? that is NOT how you speak to clients I will be taking my business elsewhere.
