Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine (DNS) began in the early 1960s as a merger of two pioneering neurosurgical groups, and was formally established in 1973. Today, DNS is the longest-established private neurosurgical specialty practice group in North Texas with offices in Dallas, Frisco, and Plano. We have seven full-time, board-certified neurosurgeons supported by an experienced, patient-focused staff.

If you are suffering from disc injury or other urgent need regarding your back or spine, or have been diagnosed with a brain condition requiring urgent surgical evaluation, we will make every effort to get you seen by one of our specialists within 24 hours. When you schedule an appointment to see one of our neurosurgeons, you will get to see that neurosurgeon - not a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) as is the case with many neurosurgical practices.Of course, we take great pride in knowing that our expertly-trained NPs and PAs are unsurpassed in their field.
Dr. Abbey Ghermay has led Dallas Back Pain Management since its founding in 2005. His experienced leadership has ensured that Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine remains at the forefront of pain-relieving procedures and treatments. Dr. Ghermay understands that pain that goes untreated can affect nearly every aspect of a patient's daily activities, keeping them from the things they enjoy most.

Cannot thank Dr. Desaloms enough. - Update 3.5 years after surgery I had a cervical fusion with Dr. Desaloms. I was in terrible pain for a long time before Surgery. After surgery my life was dramatically different thanks to Dr. Desaloms. Fusion healed very well and I have no limitations. I had almost no hope of a normal life before surgery but now I have one.

My doctor was fine, but the ladies working in billing are either incompetent or just rude. I already spoke with one lady named Kim and paid my dues before a surgery and she assured me over the phone I won't owe anymore. Yet, I got billed again for some random amount post surgery even though I had met my max out of pocket with insurance. Beware guys, verify in writing what you'll owe or just take business elsewhere. Bad practice!

Like most people contemplating spine surgery, I was very reluctant to take the next step. I visited with several top surgeons in the area, but my wife and I felt best with Dr. Denning. He not only is one of the best in the region, his manner is calm and assuring, helping us to understand that he did these surgeries often. He takes his time, and you never feel rushed. I wish we would have known about him earlier! Completely changed my life after the surgery. We recommend him enthusiastically. His team is phenomenal!

Heard this clinic was good so thought I would give it a try and saw Dr Denning for Kyphosis, terrible back pain and brachioradial pruritis (nerve related upper body itch) very painful like shingles. My rheumatologist recommended I see an ortho and ordered an X-ray and bone density. No concern for my for the curvature in my spine. He said it's not that bad!
Nothing else! I would have expected an explanation or ease my mind that it wouldn't get worse, something And as for my BP wasn't concerned didn't think it was a big deal. After I told him it wakes me up at night, I have to travel with ice packs in a cooler when I leave the house. It can go on all day long. I'm 63, I've been an athlete all my life, ride horses, you name it.
I also have Autoimmune connective tissue disease, I Know Pain! I've decided Dr's are like Veterinarians, you've got to get one with some age and experience and cares enough to dig below the surface to find a reason for the pain. And had had experience under his belt to identify problems he's not presented every day. I don't know how a dr can just send someone out of their office with less hope than they came in with. And to be minimalized like you are a hypochondriac. Take what you will from this. I'm just tired of wasting my time with cocky Dr's

Dear Dr. Denning, I would like to take this opportunity to express to you my most heartfelt appreciation for not only your skill but your compassion throughout this process. After consulting with you regarding the treatment of my spine, I felt calm and confident that all would be okay. Your willingness to explain everything gave me a sense of peace and enabled me to continue to be strong for my family.
While I realize everyone isn't a candidate for spine surgery, I would recommend you, Dr. Denning, as a doctor to visit before agreeing to a "gutting". You will find the best treatment available that causes the least stress to one's body. Along side today's technology, your personality, bedside manner, and professional manner is what makes Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine Associates, Inc. the only place one should turn to when one's spine has made life a battle!
I truly feel that not only do I owe my life to you, but that I was blessed to find myself placed in your more than capable hands. Had a great experience with Dallas Neurosurgical and Spine. Jason Taub will take the time to answer all questions and explain all complex medical terms to patient. Has humble character and will provide an competent and honest assessment. Administrative and Assistant staff is great. They go the extra mile to ensure you are taken care of. Deana responded to my questions at 530AM - Your concern becomes her concern. This group will take care of you if you have any spine issues. Highly recommend.

Dr Jon Krumerman was my surgeon. I had a painful bulging disc in my lower back. He was awesome. Extremely gentle and explained everything very well. After a period of healing.my back felt better than it had for many years! I would recommend Dr Krumerman to anyone for sure! By the way, my surgery was about 2 years ago and things are still doing great.

I am so grateful to had Dr. Desaloms perform Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery for my Parkinson's disease. After the surgery I feel I have been given a new life. My symptoms of tremors have significantly improved. I first had my surgery done 6 years ago to help the tremors in my left hand. I had another DBS surgery one month ago to help with my right hand.
I have been blessed to find Dr. Desaloms who is a neurosurgeon with years of experience and who is very competent in his field. He is a very kind, caring person with much compassion for his patients. His office staff and his surgery staff treated me like family and support me during the time of my surgery.
