My mom arrived by ambulance this morning. The care she received was good until it wasn't. I was told they were short handed, I get it. You know what I don't get? Literally sitting for over an hour and half to have her port removed. The discharge papers sat there with only her signature required, yet her attending nurse was no where in site. I went to the desk and asked if he could return and remove her port.
As a retired Nurse I know for a fact you can get that done in 5 minutes. The port comes out, you swab the area down and you toss on a bandage. With much attitude he arrived 35 minutes after requesting assistance to remove the port. He then turned to my 91 year old mother and said, "your free to go". I literally had to tell the guy she would need a wheelchair.
A different nurse returned with a chair and assisted her departure. We literally were there two hours longer then necessary. It's a genius way to rack up her ER bill. What a terrible way to treat a senior citizen who had sat there while requiring food and insulin. Shame on the floor nurse and shame on the male nurse.

Tell new patients that masks are required when making the appointments on the phone. She wouldnt even check us in until we agreed to put masks on. For reference I havent worn a mask or given my business to anyone requiring masks in over a year. No one wants to show up to a doctors appointment to be harassed by nurses to put masks on OR cancel your appointment.
My son has a broken arm and potentially needs surgery and they act like canceling the appointment after you waited a week is acceptable. Will be waiting in the hall, maskless until we have to be seen and I will wear the mask as little as possible. Freedom and rights are mine to exercise in the US.

As an employee and a patient and a mom, I have countless stories of ARC doctors and staff coming through for me and my family. The middle of the night calls about feverish kids, the emergency surgery due to a sports injury, and so many after hours visits - because who has time to take myself or my sick kids to the doctor during the day! MyChart helps me stay on top of my own health needs and makes it easy to book online. I've been seeing ARC doctors for over 20 years and it's made my life easier and better.

Finding a doctor is tricky and sometimes stressful. It sucks having to do a TON of research just to end up back at square one and feeling like you're stuck. I love that ARC has a ton of locations so no matter which one I go to, or which doctor I see, I'm not having to start from scratch since my electronic records are centralized. I've seen many of their doctors over the years and they've all been great.
They continue make everything more and more convenient. As a new mom, that really counts, because honestly I don't have the time or energy to run around to get the care I need for my little one. I can do everything on the mychart app, including booking appointments, which means. I don't have to wait on hold with a fussy toddler? Hallelujah!

I was recently diagnosed with covid. When I got my diagnosis yesterday, I was given 1 pain pill in the Ed and instructed to call my physician. Anytime I have tried to call my physician, there are no appointments. What concerns me is the level of care. I understand there is an opioid crisis but, why do I need to suffer? Furthermore, I was on daily pain meds a year ago so, the over the counter stuff seems not to work.
It's the way the lady on the phone said, there is not really anything we can do for you. Message, she didn't try to do anything. She told me soonest appointment would be Wednesday. As a responsible adult, I do not feel safe exposing others to me. This is not my first bad experience with the Kyle location. I transferred my grandson from The south Austin office, this was a huge mistake.
I would have to agree that their patient care is indicative of so many things that are wrong with our healthcare system. I do everything in my power to not go to this clinic. They think I need to see them for a referral. No, I do not because, I have a ppo. Why should I pay you to pull off my sock and refer me to a podiatrist. I can cut out the middle man, call a podiatrist, get an appointment with purpose.
Another horrible example is their sign that says walk-in welcome. I tested that and was told I needed to schedule an appointment. Again, I ended up using a free standing emergency room. What is the purpose of me having a primary care physician, at this point it's just a medical accessory with no ease of accessibility. I guess this works because, most doctors are not private and are all part of a practice. I absolutely despise Kyle arc.

My son and I have been patients here for several years. My favorite aspect is the new MyChart app, which is where I can make appointments, send messages, update records, find immunization information, make payments and more. It sometimes takes a couple days to receive replies to messages, but if it were urgent, I'd call, so I'm OK with that. As far as the doctor's and nurses, they've all been very kind, especially with my son, and I appreciate how they explain things to him.
My OBGYN has remained consistent, and I love her, but for most small medical needs I just see whomever is available. That's another thing that I like about ARC is that there's always someone available, even if I can't see our regular doctors. Lastly, I love the large range of specialists, and appreciate that I can stay in the ARC system for any of our needs.

Although Central Texas isn't known for outstanding healthcare, ARC still manages to stand out as less than mediocre. Have used them from 2018 until this month because they were the least bad option my insurance offered. And by "least bad, " I mean that the clinic is close to my house. Admin and nursing staff are generally pleasant and competent.
Wish the same could be said of physicians and billing. Actually, physicians are often pleasant, but I'd prefer them to be competent. ARC Anderson Mill appears to function primarily as an urgent care clinic or a referral center. They seem to guesstimate which specialty your issue falls under and send you hither. Perhaps this helps them keep up with their schedules (kicking the can down the road, as it were). What's most concerning is the the blend of heedlessness and indifference in diagnoses and treatment.
At one visit I was told that although the doctor didn't know what was wrong with me, I didn't have mono or strep. She prescribed antibiotics anyway for something she couldn't determine was bacterial. In another instance, one doctor said I didn't have an ear infection because I didn't have a fever while another said it was an infection because there was fluid in my ear. Again, I was prescribed antibiotics for what might have been a viral or fungal infection. (Was once fortunate enough not to be able to make an appointment with anyone at Anderson Mill and had a televisit with an Internal Medicine practitioner. Wouldn't mind him as a primary, but he's not available.) And when it comes to vaccine information, you don't have to rely on nut jobs for inaccurate and/or conflicting facts and advice.
Just speak with ARC generalists and specialists. As I said, admin and nursing staff are pretty responsive: hold times can be long, but the call back system alleviates some of the aggravation. Doctors, on the other hand, can take their sweet time (i.e., more than two business days) to respond to fairly banal requests, like filling basic prescriptions.
The billing office can also be trying. My insurance company has only partially paid some claims because it maintains that the procedures/visits/labs were not coded correctly (chances are the insurance provider may sometimes be at fault), but billing assures me that they do not correct or revise and resubmit questionable claims.

This is for the S. 1st location: I went in for my first Mamo, not only did the nurse/technician back away from me like I had the plague, but she wouldn't give me the scan because I checked one box. She calls her trying to save me money, but thanks for nothing. Now I have pain and pretty sure it's something awful. My Doc there was great but she'd not in network anymore.
If the lazy tech had just done the scan everything would've been caught or worked itself out. And they wonder why people don't go see the doctor before things get bad.because your people skills and bed side manner sucks.

This is the worst place. Do not go here if you want to continue having your scripts on time. Atleast 45 minutes hold time every single time you call no matter the time. Horrible management and a general apathy for whatever you're going through. Being forced to go through withdrawals based on negligence. Garbage clinic

The biggest contrast of doctors I've ever seen. Taking my son to pediatrician at this location and she is amazing. However. I decided to go there with my wife for annual checkup. Their doctor, Jasmeet Kapur, took blood analysis for my wife and just a covid test for me. Covid test was negative, however she insisted on the followup call in a week when called me with test results, explaining that test could be false negative.
On the followup phone call the doctor asked about my health and asked me to call my wife, I turned speaker so we both could hear her, but she told her just exactly what was written in her blood test results in their myChart app which took a minute or two, nothing more. And then the clinic double-billed us for the phone appointment. Doctor even did not provide any recommendations.
This is the worst experience I ever had, even 3rd world countries have better services than this one. So that's why 2*. That doctor is no longer in this clinic, however I am not even thinking of returning here for annual or something else.

I've been trying to schedule an appointment. I'm on try 3, with over an hour of hold time and have not spoken to anyone. I tried to use their online service, but you have to call in for the first appointment. If you cannot even schedule an appointment I can't imagine what the doctors office is like. Horrible. Update: After waiting 32 minutes I finally got someone on the line.
I told them my situation and they said "you need to to talk to nurse triage first" then tried to transfer me. Sat on silent hold for another 15 minutes. Another 45 minutes added to the time clock to schedule an appointment and it still don't have one.

Hello everyone, I am up here today to talk about this clinic, because I am quite upset about the nurses in service. I had an appointment with Dr Truong at 9:00 and I waited until 9:30 for the doctor to check up. but also okay. after that I had to get vaccinated, at around 9:45 but the nurses kept me waiting until 10:20, still no one came in, and I got another appointment.
I sat for nearly an hour. I went to call them, and went to my room and waited for another 15 minutes and still no one came. maybe I'm Vietnamese and they discriminate against me. I feel like being offenced. I had to wait many times but this time I want to share it with everyone. Thank you.

My kids, 5 and 7 yrs old, love going to see Dr. Nguyen. They count down the days to their annual appointments and seem to find some comfort in knowing they'll see him when they're acutely ill. He's thorough, skilled, and kind. They say, "He's the best doctor ever!" I, as their mother and a nurse practitioner, agree.

Dr. Shah is my baby boy's new pediatrician! We brought him in 3 days old and she's a wonderful doctor experience for our babe. My OB told me before I delivered to pick a doctor I can ask stupid questions about, burps, poops and more and find one that works well with your parenting vibes. She's definitely helpful in letting these first time parents feel reassured that we can get the hang of this and she has 3 boys herself.
The rooms our baby boy gets taken into are adorably decorated and she even has a nice drawing her sons drew of Pokemon which we recognized since these parents are obsessed. Love! Pro tip: there is a well baby room so you can quarantine yourself away from the sick people and sick babies. This is super helpful especially with a newborn that we really ensure we take advantage of when we visit.
They shared with us some formula samples and vitamin D drops as well to help baby recover from his first scary check up. Fed is best to ensure our baby grows and gets good and healthy and strong! I also appreciate ARC checking in on this mama with her postpartum journey and ensuring I'm getting the support and thriving in this new stage of my life.

I wanted to yelp both my new Dr. (Dr. Isaac) and the two lab women who helped me today! Although I did not get the name of the two ladies (description -short silver white hair woman and long braided hair woman) they were a blast while I did my test in the labs. They were friendly and patient. I have had some other lab experiences at other offices before where it was very dry and not personal as an experience!
Please tell these two ladies and give them kudos for providing such great service! Also, my new Dr. is so lovely, asked lots of great questions and was very professional and sweet! Thank you for a great first experience ARC!

After a couple of years of my being accommodating, the last straw has finally been collected. This place is horrific. I will never revisit any ARC. It's a money grubbing, middle man of a business. The patients and customers are their last priority. The nursing and support staff are horrific. Here and at other ARC's. They will never receive another dime from me.

Needed to see the doctor today and my primary was booked solid. The receptionist informed me a doctor (Clarence E. Williams, II, MD) at another ARC location had an opening so naturally, I booked the appointment. Shortly after booking the appointment I saw the clinics reviews on Yelp and no lying, I was nervous. The doctor my appointment was with had good reviews but the clinic not so much.
I kept the appointment and am glad I did. My experience with Dr. Williams was fantastic! He took the time to listen and made sure all necessary labs and referrals were taken care of immediately. He was professional yet friendly and appeared truly concerned about my health. The lab tech was great, check-in/check-out was easy peasy and the only experience that was mediocre was the medical assistant that took my vitals and medical history.
She had a amazing smile and promptly introduced herself. However, she was being shadowed by a young woman. She never introduced the young woman to me nor was I told why she was following us around. She should have introduced her and asked if I was okay with her being in the room and privy to my medical history. She seemed very busy and the clinic appeared to have a good number of patients so this may explain her lapse in judgement.
I am giving this ARC clinic 5 stars based on my experience with Dr. Williams, the wonderful lab technician with the rescue doggies (sorry I do not recall her name) and the overall ease of getting in and out in a timely manner. This place is a little out of the way for me, however, I would definitely go here again if I could not get in to my regular primary.

I felt I needed additional medical attention for all the trauma that I experienced after a visit here. If you look up 'bedside manners' in a dictionary, you will NOT see the face of the pediatrician that saw my son. Thanks for making a new parent feel like an idiot. This story does have a happy ending though. We switched to a different pediatrician at another ARC location and could not be happier. Five stars to them - not you.

I love everyone at this clinic! The office manager, Alissa, is so nice.professional, helpful and efficient. My Dr. O'Brien is a rock star! I have been going to her for a number of years and she always takes time to listen and is ALWAYS ready to give an honest answer! She sincerely cares about her patients and in these days of horrible insurance issues and negative medical news, it is so refreshing to be treated like a person and not just a paycheck!
If there's a negative, it would be the waiting time (on occasion ) and I just prepare for that.knowing that I don't want my doctor rushing away from me to keep a prompt schedule! Love you, ARC Anderson Mill!

Apparently some Dr's like Katharine O'Brien require a 'meet & greet' before doing actual Dr Work. The meet & greet fee starts at $195.just to shake someones hand. and since I have one of those glorious HD health plans all of that is out of pocket expense. Insane that a Dr gets to charge me $200 bucks just to say hello. Thanks, but no thanks.
