I went to Austin ENT at the recommendation of my family doctor. Met with the doctor once to discuss breathing issues I've been having and the possibility of correcting a deviated septum to help this issues (poor breathing, bad sleep, snoring, etc). Doctor was in the exam room for maybe 5 minutes - looked up my nose once, and discussed that we could likely do a septoplasty to correct this.

I felt like I was moved through the office like cattle at market. Took two weeks for me to hear back from the office regarding scheduling, cost, etc. They did reach out as soon as they heard back from my insurance and found I needed to pay another $145 to cover my deductible. I actually went ahead and schedule the procedure, then had second thoughts. Sought out a second opinion from the doctor my boss used and had two diff people look at me that morning, for a total of about 30 minutes doing multiple exams to determine my condition.

It was decided we could try a non-surgical procedure first before having to consider surgery. Guess which doctor I'm now seeing! I just didn't feel I was treated as if they cared at this office.

I waited in the waiting room for an hour just for the doctor to tell me that posterior tongue tie isn't real and that dentists will make it up. I'm trying to seek help for my grinding and sleeping issues, and this doctor told me that a dental term that I use in-office isn't real. Don't come here unless you want to be gaslit.

Lauren has been an awesome audiologist! She explained my hearing deficit and helped me learn how it could be made better, helping me understand the technology of the new hearing aids. I received my hearing aids in one week, and was able to experience the joy of good hearing once again! I feel confident that I will be very happy with my new "ears"!

Although the staff is friendly and the doctors seem capable, I cannot recommend Austin ENT Associates because of the horrible billing experience I have had with them, and the healthcare providers they chose, from start to finish. I have spent over 50 hours of my personal time dealing directly with this issue. I would strongly advise bringing your business elsewhere. If you do choose Austin ENT Associates, don't give them any money until you've received an Explanation of Benefits that details your patient responsibility.

Absolutely awful, atrocious front office staff, didn't bother to send paperwork ahead of appointment and day of appointment couldn't lift a finger to verify my insurance. Made ME call the insurance to try to verify it myself. Needless to say I couldn't get through. They could easily call the insurance being they are providers and can get verification, but they're too lazy to lift a finger. Terrible service, will be going to different ENT specialist. DO NOT GO HERE.

I have always had a great experience, and the best hearing care. Rebecca Dixon is the best audiologist you could ever wish for! This is a great office and Nancy at the front desk is friendly and helpful.

The Audiology Department at Austin ENT Associates is especially helpful with answers to questions, but it is more than that. Dr. Dixon takes special care to be sure her patients understand their tests, their options, and their hearing aids., and that they are satisfied with the results. One of my hearing aids stopped working, and she was able to fix the problem (a bad antenna) right there on the spot. She can also modify the parameters to suit an individual's needs. The receptionist is pleasant and helpful, also. I unreservedly recommend this department.

Pros: The entire staff that I interacted with was very nice, and Dr. Ratcliff was an enjoyable doctor. But please be very careful. Cons: They will not tell you (even if you ask) about the additional costs of anything done during the appointment. I had a consultation about ongoing sinus issues, during which I clearly stated that I was sensitive about the cost of any procedure being done.

I was then charged hundreds of dollars for a nasal endoscopy (in addition to the actual exam charge) and never told at any point during the visit that they'd be charging extra. Even when I called and explained the situation to billing and asked for an adjustment, I was first told it was an insurance issue and then (when insurance clarified that wasn't true) they would not do anything to make amends for the situation. All in all, I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere if you are looking for an honest, upfront experience.

Rebecca has been my audiologist since I first was fitted with hearing aids. She is a skilled, experienced, talented and enjoyable professional to work with. Rebecca has always taken the time to answer questions, make sure I was fitted properly and ensured any repairs or supplies that was needed was done correctly and quickly. On top of her many professional and technical abilities, she is very personable to visit with. I would recommend Rebecca very highly and would give her more stars if there was an option to do so.
