Motivated by the unmet need of cancer patients to have access to innovative treatments, Dr. Robert Haselow, a respected radiation oncologist with a proven track record, and his colleague, Dr. Doug Olson, founded Minneapolis Radiation Oncology, MRO. The year was 1981. Using radiation beams to target cancer was still an evolving science, and many in the Twin Cities medical community remained cautious. Within the year, the number of patients referred for treatment doubled and he was joined by Dr. Olson.

Radiation therapy is MRO's clinical specialty which utilizes very high energy X-rays, gamma rays, electron beams, or other ionizing radiation to manage and treat many types of malignancies (and occasionally some non-malignant conditions). Dr Wattson and ALL the staff at MRO treated me with kindness and professionalism. Throughout my 38 radiation treatments, they accommodated every schedule change I needed due to my ever changing work schedule. I was happy to be done with my treatment, but sad that my daily interaction with these wonderful people has come to an end.

I recently received 20 radiation treatments at MRO and I was impressed with the excellent care I received as well as the concern for how I was feeling from all the care professionals at MRO. Each day I was treated like they were there for me and they answered whatever questions or concerns that I had. It made what was a very stressful time of my life very manageable. Can't thank all of them enough!
