I went here and was told I did not have an appointment even though I was called and texted to confirm days prior to my appointment. I waited twenty minutes for them to "find" my appointment and then waited another 30 minutes to see the doctor. I had the unfortunate displeasure of meeting with Dr. Mario Berowitz's nurse practitioner, Sheila Rosemberg Hirshbein.
As a registered nurse who has worked alongside many physicians for many years, Sheila Rosemberg Hirshbein is the most incompetent care provider I have ever ran across and it shocks me that she is a nurse. Sheila Rosemberg Hirshbein lacks compassion, empathy and is very argumentative. She is one of those care providers who would rather look at a patient's chart than actually assess the patient.
I was in a very bad motor vehicle accident in 2019 that had 1 casualty and left me with a broken neck, broken ankle, broken wrist, broken ribs and several herniated discs. I was managing my condition under my PCP with a combination of a muscle relaxant, an analgesic and deep tissue massages. It was not until I lifted a patient at work almost a month ago and have had this ache in my back and neck that will not go away.
My PCP suggested I redo my MRI with an orthopedic physician. I chose to go to this location because it was closest to my home, but I really regret this and wish I traveled the distance to go she physician she wanted me to initially see. Dr. Berowitz's PA, Sheila ordered one X-ray for me, stating that they could only do body part at a time and I would need to come back for another X-ray.
From my nursing experience, X-rays do not show herniated discs so, as my PCP suggested, I knew I would need an MRI. Sheila looked at the X-ray and stated I had spondylosis, but was not going to follow up with an MRI, despite my previous history of herniated discs and ongoing pain. She kept stating that I was young, which is a common careless thing for lazy care providers to say.
She stated this condition does not cause pain, but as a registered nurse I knew this was nonsense. Not only does it cause stiffness and pain, it is also not common for a woman in their 20's to have. Sheila instead referred me to physical therapy. She argued with me that my current regimen of Flexeril and deep tissue massages was not useful, even though I have been on it for years and it has been been relieving my pain.
She instead put me on two new medications which have not been helping and now my pain is worst than it was prior to seeing her. Sheila even went as far to argue with me about the medications my psychiatrist has me under for post traumatic stress disorder and depression. It was not until I told her that I was diagnosed with this after losing my child in this same accident, that she realized that she was wrong and gave me a short apology. Run far away from this place. Their customer service and bedside manners are horrendous

Dr Sheik is one if not the best Orthopedist in South Florida. He is straight to the point and honest. Will not do surgery if not warranted or if you will not get great outcome. I drive from Orlando just to see him, this time I took my ex for a second opinion. Reasonably priced. Office girls very nice too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The employees were wonderful. As for the doctors my appointment was with Dr Berkowitz I sat in an examining room half naked for a hour while I heard him going from examining room to examining room. Every room but mine. The handyman. Came into my room but no Doctor. Finally left. Missed work and cost me 85.00. For what?

I will never go back! I went in today for knee pain and back pain. Well yes I am over weight but I am going in for surgery soon and he told me to shut my mouth and just stop eating. That why get a surgery when I will be fat again. He told me he can't help me because I am to fat and need to lose weight. I am 230 lbs but I am short. He made me feel uncomfortable and was rude. Find a different Orthopedic don't go there.

The window staff, the tech Mack, and the PA Andre for Dr. Feanny were all superb. The x-ray tech was awesome. Even tho I got a shot in both knees, I will continue with my visits and start the physical therapy. I NEED relief. Today, 5/19/22, was my third visit. Mack and Andre were awesome. The staff at the window were superb.

Waited in the room for about an hour after my x-ray for the doctor to come in. He then proceeded to make jokes when clearly it wasn't the time (read the room) and on top of that, he took his sweet time asking every person who I presume to be an intern there what they interpreted from my x-ray. The entire experience was unpleasant, definitely would not refer anyone there.

I want to start off by saying that I have been a customer for Total orthopedic care for a very long time.(over 15 years to be exact). I never felt the need to complain because the staff has always been great up until now. There is a young lady who sits at the check in counter named Shayna, she is rude beyond measures. On two separate recent occasions I had to bring one of my children in for an exam.
I was greeted by her and she performed as if it was a script that she was reading. (I stated good afternoon, no response from her). I brushed it off and continued my visit knowing once I pass the doors the other people I would deal with have shown impeccable customer service skills. Now push start to the last and most recent visit, I was running a little late (never in the past), received a call from Shayna who asked where was I?
I proceeded to advise there was an accident in the area just about 4-5 minutes away. It's like all hell broke out when I told her that. She had the nerves to tell me that she was ready to go home and I was holding her up. I tried to apologize wholeheartedly but she over powered the conversation continuing to tell me that she was ready to go home, (as if she wanted me to say I would reschedule).
Once we arrived there her attitude was far from courteous as she checked us in. I've never in my entire time of visiting this place can remember ever having to deal with the disrespect, uneducated, non customer service oriented, self centered person as such. She must remember I do have choices to choose another othopedic care center but will not allow one bad apple to spoil the show of continuing service here at the Lauderdale Lakes center. Hopefully when I do come back they change her position to medical records, far away from people.

Been at this office with both of my children and have never had a bad experience, communication is key and respecting your appointment. The wait could range from 30 min especially first visits and paperwork. But from that arrive at an appropriate time and it's better. But just schedule your time accordingly. My child had a fracture lower left forearm and Dr fixed it well.
He was cast and hopefully will be off in about 4 to 6 weeks depending on how it heals. The staff was supported and friendly with my son. His feelings were acknowledged by Dr and staff but they were sincere. Thank you

There's no signage for sign-in: So I went to window number 2 as window number 1 was already assuring someone. To my surprise #2 was occupied by an unpleasant lady. However her co-workers made up for rude disposition. From imaging, techs, MA to doctor- patient interaction all pleasant experience and very detailed. Dr. Muhammad came off a bit fiesty but he's a very wise man. You will not leave with any of your asked questions unanswered. *I heard that the office is less busy before 9a.

Awful! My husband went there for a potential tear in his knee due to injury. Not only did he wait over 2 hours to see the Dr. But the Dr. Told him he needed to have weightless surgery, and he should mortgage his house, sell his car, whatever he can do to get the money to do it. You'd think after saying this my husband is 600+lbs. NO! He's under 300!
Who talks to people like that?! Talk about tearing someone down, , that is not how you talk to people. What kind of place is this?! Mind you, the Dr. Spent most of the visit talking about this, and continuously hammered it into ny husband's brain. Awful, just awful, We will never be going here again.

If i could give 0 stars i definitely would. First of all i'm NEVER coming back to this place! I went there with an appt for my 3years old daughter. We waited for over an hour, but that wasn't the problem. After we enter the room to be examined by the Dr. Hajianpour, he got in the room talking about flat feet (he didn't introduce himself or nothing) and bla bla bla.
I told him i wasn't there because flat feet. I told my concern about my daughter and he said all the kids are like that and gave a paper with some information that was already printed. I asked him if he wasn't going to ask my daughter to walk or run, or even touch my daughter to see if she's have something else. He rolled his eyes for me and started to be SARCASTIC.
Every time i asked something he did that. It get me so mad, i couldn't believe this was happening right in my face. I told him my husband family history, and he said: "ALL THE DOCTORS IN SOUTH AND CENTRAL AMERICA ARE STUPID, THEY ARE 15 YEARS BEHIND KNOWLEDGE". It was so offensive and racist! After all, he laughed at me for being concerned about my daughter, he didn't touch her or asked her to do anything, he rolled his eyes for me every time i talked, AND THE WORST.
He left me talking ALONE when i said he need to learn how to talk to real people. Can you believe that? Never go to this place, please. find another orthopedic doctor, you'll thank me later.

Appointment 7:30am Arrived 7:35am Time I saw doctor: 9:31am I walked in for a minor 5th-metacarpal fracture If you're going here, prepare to wait 2hrs to be seen by a doctor who has little patience for your questions. Save all your questions for the end of his lecture and he may not directly address your question. Should you insist on your unaddressed question he may belittle you.
This was my experience. Also they threw my splint away and expected me to buy one off them or return mine from the garbage. I saw: M.A. Mohammad Hajianpour, M.D (rude) Bianca Meneses, PA-C (rude and biased)

Anyone in Florida: Went to a Dr today as a new patient for insight as to how I can manage my pain. Waited 1.5hrs before seeing him and then was rudely dismissed as an ignorant malingerer. He belittled my Dr's as well as my reports and surgeries and treatments. He then stated "God Bless America" when I declined his opioid prescription and told him I use Medical Marijuana. Ass Do not go to "Total Orthopedic Care" in Lauderdale FL to see M.A. Hajianpour, M.D., F.I.C.S. Thanks GHI!

I have been here 4 times in the last 2 months and have waited over 2 hours past my appointment times. Over an hour in the waiting room and another hour in the exam waiting for the dr. Hajianpor. This is ridiculous, waiting this long just to be seen for less then 3 minutes. Another thing is you can not get a word to him about any issues because he will just cut you off and talk over you. I do not recommend this ortho office at all. I would give 0 stars if i could. Absolutely sucks.

Total Orthopaedic Care's M.A. Hajianpour, M.D., requested unnecessary X-ray, which I paid out of pocket, and gave me Metatarsal Pads that created more pain and then Physical Therapy was requested but was not needed. I had two concerns on my feet, one which he totally dismissed and because of which I had to seek out a new Doctor. The new Doctor took less than 10 minutes to evaluate my feet with no X-rays, showed me what happening with my feet and came to the conclusion that I needed custom made orthotics to fix my outward stepping and also would heal my second concern, pinched small toes. Would not recommend this place at all as I honestly felt my needs were not as much as concern as how much money could be bled from me.

I went to this place today and ive never felt so uncomfortable in my life my 5months old baby had something in his hand so his pediatrician told me and my husband to go do an x-ray to see why he had the lump in his hand we did the x-ray then we had to wait for the doctor to tell us what is going on with my son hand this guy name mohammad ali hajianpour walked in he was more interested in touching my son body part and asking his gender then telling us what was wrong at first i thought he probably was just checking to see if there was any other lumps on my son body parts its when he started touching my son tittie's and squeezing my son thighs ignoring the fact that my son hand is where the lump is i realize he was being inappropriate with my son he wasn't actually trying to answer our questions then i move my son away from him and i asked him why was he touching my like that he just ignored the question and went on with saying there's nothing wrong with my son the lump in his fingers will fade away once my son gets older a little advice with people with kids going over there be careful

My daughter broke her finger and her pediatrician game me the info for this place and say they were very helpful. They were right. I was able to get my daughter an appointment the same day I called. Not like the other place that I calm before them saying they would not have doctors until October available for and that I also need it a referral form Insurance which it was not true. Everyone was nice here and yes we waited a little but they were busy and doctor also took tile with my daughter and he was awesome. So I am glad we went there.

NOTE: I'm reviewing the Physical Therapy services only. My son who plays soccer has been in pain for over two month in ankle, knees and back area. Coaches couldn't help him. I am grateful that an orthopedist outside of Total Orthopaedic Care suggested to consider physical therapy, and I found this amazing orthopedics clinic in Lauderdale Lakes!
We first saw Dr. Roberto McGrath, P.T., D.P.T., C.O.M.T. He is a Chief Physical Therapy executive. Being a professional soccer player in the past himself, he spend 45 minutes with us examining my young sports player carefully and conducting a very through Q & A. He was outstanding - with patience, understanding, professional advise and proper guidance.
It is rare when doctor listens and can actually talk to 10 year old, so I am very grateful. He is definitely a great clinician and knows his stuff. We started Physical therapy the same day. My son is now visiting the clinic twice a week for a 3- month program, and he cannot wait to see his physical therapist Kristine who "fixes" him and helps with his pain.
She is so very sweet with him, and knows her stuff. My son felt an instant relief. The whole staff of Physical Therapy is absolutely amazing, from the front desk to the therapists. You can see that the whole culture is great, everyone is genuine and caring. My son now counts days and hours to come see "his ladies". He loves the care he receives, and very happy that he started feeling so much better already after only three sessions!
It really helps him to carry on with his soccer practices. If you are looking for a sports medicine and youth physical therapy- this is the place! Very delighted with their consistently good service and care. Highly recommended! P.S. Prepare to be spoiled by cookies, candy, cakes at the Physical Therapy front desk. They always feed you. That is like 1 lb a week that you gain and yet cannot refuse. So super sweet! :

Been going to Dr. Sheikh for almost two years now. First was for a slight tear in my meniscus. He spent all the time I need and we went over all the options. The second was I broke my fibula bone during hurricane erma. He game me both surgical and non surgical options. I am not out of my cast and on fast recovery at physical therapy. Not sure about the previous reviews; however I would rather wait a few extra minutes in the waiting room to know he will give me all the time I need in the room.

Mr. Hajianpour told me I had flat feet while looking at X-rays that were not mine. What terrible insulting bedside manner. He does not listen to patient or staff who was advising him that the X-rays were not mine. He went on to give me advise on nutrition, that I did not go there to seek. It was a total waste of time and disrespect. Good riddance to Mr. Hajianpour as I refuse to call him a doctor. If you are considering going to this place, stop reconsider, you have been warned. STAY AWAY, I MEAN IT.

Dr Hajianpour just check my wife's hand. He can't care less about a patient and being the most unprofessional doctor I have ever hear off. Come here and you will feel like an old car in a cheap repair shop. Save you time and search for other office. I just lost my entire morning, the money and we still need to go to a real doctor to help my wife

Dr. Mohammad Hajianpour, MD is a TOTAL BASTARD! This man shouldn't be "trying" to treat humans, he should work in a cemetery dead people with his hideous bedside manner. I paid over $200 for x-rays that he didn't even BOTHER to look at. He is unprofessional and a total @#$@%^&*. I highly recommend going to anyone BUT this douchebag. I went in there with pain for him to cure and he could only harp about my weight like some stupid ignorant old bastard. Maybe if I was Indian like him, he'd of treated me better. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JERK!
