Our founding physician, Dr. Gerhard Maale, specializes in orthopaedic oncology, osteomyelitis, infected total joint arthroplasty, joint replacement, and complex joint reconstruction. We offer a unique approach to patients with musculoskeletal disease by conducting patient evaluations in a multidisciplinary setting.

Gerhard Maale, MD is the founder of the Dallas Ft. Worth Sarcoma Group. Dr. Maale has more than 30 years of experience treating bone and soft tissue tumors, metastic bone disease, musculoskeletal infections, infected total joint arthroplasty and complex bone and joint reconstructions. Dr. Maale specializes in complex reconstruction of joints that have failed from previous surgeries, with a high percentage of limb salvage.
The Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Sarcoma Foundation was organized in 1990 as a nonprofit research group actively involved in medical research dealing with the treatment of our patients with sarcomas (bone cancer) and musculoskeletal infections. This group of medical professionals is a multidisciplinary group, including many sub-specialists who are experts in their field.
Charges for office visits and surgery are determined by the time spent, and vary with the severity or complexity of the problem. For your convenience we accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover. Our financial policy states co-payments, co-insurances, and deductibles are due in full at the time of service rendered.

There is no one more dedicated to the care of their patients than Dr. Maale. He leaves no stone unturned to find the best treatment and cure for every person he treats. Dr. Maale will not give up until the issue his patient presented has been fixed. There are very few Doctors who have this much dedication left these days. I cane to see Dr. Maale for a Knee Replacement Revision to correct a mistake made by a previous Surgeon.
Every day I thank. God that I was referred to Dr. Maale, had I not been, I wouldn't still have my leg, it would of been amputated by now. If you want a Doctor that will care about you and helping you then this is the place for you.
