The hospital was very clean. All of the staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My surgery was right on schedule. Dr John Touliatos did an excellent job. My anesthesiologist was top-notch. My RN nurse was very knowledgeable, kind and explained everything that I needed to know. All my prayers were answered. The surgeon, anesthesiologist and all who cared for me had steady hands, sharp minds and kind hearts.

The staff were nice. We did a LOT of waiting. Even getting to the hospital at 6:00am, we were not called back to holding area for over an hour. Was told some one would be in to start getting my husband ready for surgery. 1 hour and 45 minutes later I went to the door and stood until I was acknowledged. After they took my husband to surgery I was told the surgeon would call me when he was done.
I never received a call. It's been 5 days and I still haven't talked to surgeon. My husband did do very good with the surgery he had and is healing well. Like I said, the staff was very nice when they finally did get started. The recovery and discharge staff were excellent.

Horrible Experience. Go somewhere else. Arrived around 11:30am to ER. Patient having full-blown manic attack. Taken back about an hour later to semi-private room. At 6pm told they had a private room for him. 3 hours later they finally "cleaned it" and took him back. By 11:30pm, patient still having manic attack, still not given anything for it. 12 hours in hospital with no help. (Nurses were polite and nice, but this is unacceptable). Told he was getting discharged today at 7am, now is 5 hours later and still no end or release in sight. This is unacceptable.

I received a total knee replacement at Grandview medical center. Everything went well, my surgeon said the surgery was perfect! The hospital staff was exemplary. The doctors and nurses were consistently checking on my well-being and administering the appropriate drugs in a timely manner. The staff was friendly and personable. BTW, the meals were excellent! From admission to discharge, the experience was more than I could ask for.

5 Stars! Great hospital and great staff! Easy access in and out. I've been to the ER, had 3 minor surgeries and 1 major surgery with 5 days in the hospital AND rehab and all was top notch! I had some of the best doctors in their individual specialties and was tended to by a great nursing staff! I never want to go anywhere else!

Very caring and thorough staff. Dr. Lauren Savage Jr. Was my surgeon. I started off under the care of his father Dr. Perry Savage 33 years ago. I have always received the best of care from this practice. My hospital stay was excellent. My neck surgery was February 9. 2022 and I stayed overnight. From the moment I arrived each medical care individual was superb.
I felt totally comfortable with all the staff. My surgical team was awesome. All the nurses, techs and all the caregivers went above and beyond to care for me during my stay. I will continue to use Grandview when the need arises. Thank you all so much for all the compassionate and excellent care. Carol Annette Johnson.

Nursing staff wonderful during my stay and quarantine from COVID and double pneumonia. They were as attentive and careful as they could be under the circumstances. Room was beautiful! I My windows faced the sunrise. I watched from my bed every morning. My only complaint was with the kitchen. I would order a meal and I would get whatever they wanted.
When I tried to return it or get my correct order nothing would be fixed or resent to my room. I had to order food out with money I had to borrow from others. Very disappointed in the hospitality of the heart of the hospitals kitchen. Nurses, doctors, aids excellent service and attitudes. Future surgeries are set to occur at this hospital in near future.

This was the most professional, efficient and friendly doctor's office ever! As a first-time patient in their office, I felt welcome and treated with respect. Dr. Bennett is friendly and personable. Total time start to finish was less than two hours! I've waited in waiting rooms longer than my entire experience took at their office. Definitely will stick with this doctor!

My name is alyssa donnal and this is my story. i was trying to find out where to go. i had been to three different hospitals asking everyone and they were all mean to me. i was crying and trying to find my way out but i was lost. after about 45 minutes me and my girlfriend were walking down the hallway and she stopped and asked a DOCTOR "hey do you know where we need to go?" and explained to him what we were trying to do and that we were trying to find Dr. Smith.
He told my girlfriend he knew the doctor i was looking for and said he would take us there. Then i continued walking out because i was already over how i had been treated here. As i walked out and told my girlfriend to come on so she did. he followed us into the parking deck and said "party?" i said what and he asked told me "party?" then he walked up closer to me. i said tell me what you mean by that. he said "like have fun" i asked what again. he told me "have fun". again so i asked "what are you asking me right now?" he said "wanna take a lortab and maybe make out a little?" my girlfriend pulled me away from him and i turned around and i was like did he really just ask me that? and once the realization hit i fell to my knees. i was screaming literally screaming it was echoing in the parking lot. i was saying "did he really just ask me that." "there's no way he just said that to me." my hands locked up and i was literally screaming like someone was trying to kill me. no doctors or any security came to help me. this stranger was trying to find out what was wrong and a few people were around me staring at me and i was screaming "don't touch me get away i don't trust you" my girlfriend carried me kicking and screaming trying to get me down the steps but i was scared the doctor was down there waiting for me. my girlfriend went back in there trying to find him or find out who he was and she told the women at the desks what happened and they wouldnt help me and they said they wouldn't talk to my mom. i am a sexual assault survivor prior to this and i never thought i had to worry about my safety at a hospital. the last thought on my mind was a doctor trying to harm me. i will never feel safe asking for help from a doctor again. i will make it known that grand view medical center is letting a predator walk around and you guys aren't doing anything about it. this man that offered me the lortab & to go "make out" was in scrubs & wearing a face mask so it's hard to identify. when asking to pull the cameras i was told no.
All i was trying to do was get my fractured hand fixed and make it to dr. smith. Who knows what would've happened if i would have went with that doctor. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN COME HERE.

Had to get admitted from Emergency room to hospital on Christmas Day and stay 4 nights during which time I had emergency surgery for gallbladder removal. The hospital was super clean and nice and the staff very professional and accommodating. This being my first ever hospitalization in my life at 50y all I can say is it wasn't too bad of an experience overall. I didn't like being stuck but I was so sick before surgery that all I could do was sleep anyway. I felt very well taken care of.

I'm very disappointed in my care while here my room was not cleaned at all my stay was 3 nights garbage was taken out once, the first night was given wrong medication, getting help took forever had my husband not stayed the entire time I would have not made it. I had one nurse that was great the rest were not no one knew nothing about what was going on with me a huge breakdown between doctors nurses and myself I was being told different things by each person or being told I don't know but will find out I'm now home n still haven't found out. I have a wound vac and pic line in and nurses coming out but the hospital was a huge miscommunication festival

Super disappointed! my mom had a big surgery recently and we were under the impression that it was a really good hospital- wrong! Overall she got fair treatment from the nurses but she should have gotten much better, the family members that stayed with her experienced bad service as well. My family will never be a patient there again and all my friends and anyone else who wants my opinion on this hospital will receive all the details of what we experienced. People, don't waste your time and money going here!

The doctors in the ER are understaffed and the RNs have more patients than they can handle. Its not uncommon to wait 7 hours to be admitted to a room. My mother fell and hurt her back with an impact fracture. When the doctor arrived she was very responsive and attentive but with 6 to 12 patients at any given time its difficult to spend any substantive amount of time with a patient.
The nursing staff seem unorganized and take several calls on the bedside monitor to get a response. At times it takes up to an hour. The patient board that shows the next series of events such as meds, appointments, and doctor visits was blank. I don't know if this occurs on all floors but the 12th floor was very poorly managed, especially based on the amount of charges that are racked up for a two day visit.

I went in April 1st because I had a horrible panic attack and hurt myself. My boyfriend took me to grandview to hopefully put me on suicide watch. They checked me in and asked to look at the wound. Then they proceeded to take blood, urine, and a covid test. Then they had me talk on the phone with a psychiatrist and that was it. They let me go after that.
They didn't slap a bandage or ointment or any meds on my wound, only asked to look at the wound once, and then when taking my blood In my hand, bursted a vain. If you have a mental health emergency, don't waste your time here. They won't help at all. My wound is now infected because they didn't do anything to it. I'm furious and I feel taken advantage of and like they didn't even care. I don't know what to do or who to turn to. NEVER GO HERE.

Grandview wasn't my choice to have surgery at since it's located on one of the most busiest Hwy in Alabama, but it where my doctor does all his procedures at. The parking garage is tight to where you have to drive cautiously especially if you're going all the way up to avoid any car accident. The hospital is easy to navigate through the building and the cafeteria plus the gift shop is all located on the 1st floor.
The French toast wasn't all that good from the cafeteria and it seems you get better food quality in your room. During lunch, I'd order a cheeseburger and waffle fries which the burger was ok, but my fries wasn't fresh and hard to chew. Most of the doctors and nurses are really helpful, kind and professional, but we had one nurse named Ellen that my mom had which she has the worst attitude and very unprofessional to the point we had to request another nurse to care for my mom.

I have had two surgeries here now and both times I had a good experience (I did have an ER nurse that was less than pleasant for the first one, but not going to let her ruin my impression of the hospital overall). Everything was very clean. All of the doctors and nursing staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. My second surgery happened with all of the COVID-19 procedures in place and I was very impressed and satisfied with their procedures to keep everyone safe during this time. Both times I have never had to wait long either. Love having this hospital in a convenient location on 280.

Diagnostics Center will schedule you - but then make you wait 2+ hours before even seeing you. If you have to get a scan then save yourself hours in the waiting room by getting it done elsewhere and have them deliver results to your referring doctor. While doctors make it a practice of referring to their affiliated departments you do NOT have to get your scan here as these are pretty much generic among different locations. The wait times and scheduling practices are not. This is the second multi-hour delay in their waiting room. I should have known better.but now you do.

My mother has been in and out of here a few times. ER staff fast friendly and treatment has been great. Faster service than any other ER I've been too. I mean I don't like spending time in hospitals but I've been satisfied thus far with the whole campus. Staff seems to honestly care and like their jobs.

I was recently back in Grandview for what I thought would be an outpatient surgery with my OB William Hudson. Due to some complications, I had to stay overnight for observation. My surgery was scheduled for 9am with arrival time at 7am. I was back and settled into the pre-op room by 8am. My surgery time was a little later than scheduled because of another surgery taking longer.
I think they finally got started with me around 10am. The surgery staff and my OB were stellar just like my last visit. My only gripe was, once again, with the nursing staff. My OB told me specifically to take the pain meds whenever they are scheduled. At one point I got very nauseated and they were over an hour late coming in to give my next dose of pain meds.
I waited as long as I could but finally had to hit the call button. It was still another hour after that until they made it in to spend all of two minutes giving me meds. Their excuse was that a lot of people had recently come in. I understand that, but when you're almost two hours late. c'mon. I have no idea if other hospitals are like that as far as nursing staff making you feel guilty about taking your pain meds, but it's really not fun to feel like some druggie asking for a fix when your doctor tells you to take it and you've just had your insides scraped out. So while I still love the surgery staff and my OB, the nursing staff is STILL a let down.

I have been so disappointed with our experience communicating with the office of the hospitalist at Grandview. A relative of mine was an in-patient for over a month and needed FMLA paperwork to prevent losing her job due to her extended hospital stay. My relative ended up not having the paperwork submitted on time and lost her job position protection and benefits as a result of this office's nonchalance.
Everything else about our experience at Grandview has been pleasant. It is truly a shame that our experience with one office could ruin our entire relationship with this facility. I turned in the paperwork with a month to spare, which the office of the hospitalist lost. I turned it in again three weeks prior to the deadline and the paperwork was never completed and submitted, as promised by the office of the hospitalist.
To make matters worse, the female employee who answers the phone (and refuses to share her name) repeatedly hung up on me when I called to inquire about the status of the paperwork. I have repeatedly asked to be connected to an office manager or to speak directly with the doctor. Every single time I have made this request the woman who answers the phone simply hangs up.
I realize that it is frustrating to receive a call checking on paperwork, but they lost the paperwork and missed the first deadline, so I felt it necessary to kindly remind them of the sensitivity of the matter.
