Dr. Boysen is a board certified fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist. He has extensive experience in all aspects of glaucoma management including medical treatment, laser treatment, trabeculectomy and tube shunt surgery in addition to the newer minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries which reduce the risk of glaucoma surgery and allow for faster recovery.
Dr. Engman practices comprehensive ophthalmology and has a special interest in cataract surgery. He provides patients with routine eye care and treatment of eye emergencies. Dr. Engman has expertise with all types of eye diseases including cataracts, diabetes, macular degeneration, glaucoma and dry eye.
For more than forty years, Dr. Kaplan has practiced comprehensive ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery. His practice included treatment of medical eye diseases, surgical and laser treatment of glaucoma, cataract and refractive surgery. He is now limiting his practice to medical ophthalmology, examining and treating medical eye diseases.
Dr. Leverentz practices comprehensive ophthalmology with an interest in cataract surgery and sub-specialty in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and looks forward to earning your trust and respect by providing outstanding eye care in a compassionate manner.

This is a great clinic for eye care. I have been going there for many years. The checkin staff is always well prepare for your visit. The necessary paperwork is ready to review and sign. Dr Engeman's assistant Linda was very efficient in the preliminary tests and getting things set up for the main checkup by the Dr. Dr Engeman is a great listener and takes time to answer all questions in a way you can understand I highly recommend this clinic and Dr Engeman.

I have always had a great experience at this clinic. Dr Croissant is attentive and listens to me. He is gentle and calming (I am always nervous about anyone near my eyes). The optometrists that fit you for your glasses are likewise helpful and efficient. they adjust things without complaint and are thoughtful when expressing opinions about what style works for your face. I like coming here because I am not just a number--I am a person.

I awoke Saturday morning with significant and continuous pain in one of my eyes. The clinic worked to fit me into the Saturday schedule, and I received a thorough exam of my eye. I was extremely pleased with the doctor's calm and thorough manner. This is true of all the doctors I have seen at the clinic over the years. Highly recommended!

I have been with the clinic for years and years, first with Dr. Rucker and now with Dr. Croissant. Dr. C is wonderful and thorough. The clinic got me in recently after I had a laceration on one eye from a fall. All was well, but I was concerned. Dr. Reader did my cataract surgery a few years ago, and he, too, was excellent!

Dr. Kaplan has been my eye Doctor for over thirty years. He is one of the kindest guys I know, and I always feel very comfortable and well attended to at every appointment. I appreciate how he shares the pros and cons of various treatment options in an unbiased way. I am especially thankful for his advice about elective surgeries that were popular, each time I hear from friends complaining about side effects that they didn't realize would limit aspects of their vision. Southdale Eye Clinic has always been friendly, and I value and trust them inherently for my eye care.

This is by far the best eye clinic I have ever been to. The staff is great and my dr, Dr. Norman, is simply the best! He's so happy to be able to be your doctor. He performed my cataract surgeries and his bedside manner is superb. I was not nervous and it was over with very quickly. I always enjoy going in for my annual visit.
