I went to Dr. Hey for a vasectomy. Him and his staff were professional, courteous and always on time. The surgery itself was a breeze, and his recovery recommendations were excellent. His followup procedures were outstanding and gave me confidence that the work was well done and permanent. Admittedly, the facility is old and doesn't appear to have been well taken care of, but honestly that didn't affect the quality of care that I felt I received. I've already recommended others to see him.

Never in my entire life has every aspect of my interaction with an organization and every member of it been so terrible. With what they put me through I should have sued them, but unfortunately I don't have the time or money to do so. However, I don't want others to go through what I did, so I wish to warn others of how poorly this entire doctor's practice is run (at all locations), and to stay away.
I've never written a negative review in my life (unfortunately 1 star is the lowest rating I can give). The only conceivable explanations for my experience is either incredible corruption and greed or incredible uncaring and ineptitude. Due to a strict character limit, I can't share everything that happened to me. The following is the summarized version of what I went through: I saw Dr. Wayne D.
Hey for a consultation on an elective surgery, he claimed to be very experienced and quoted me $400 total for the operation. The operation ended up costing me $6000. I was scheduled for wrong locations (Fort Worth instead of Grand Prairie) without being told. My 1 month post op visit was a waste because the operation notes weren't turned in and the doctor wasn't there, so no one could answer any of my questions like why I wasn't healing properly, why I was charged way more than what the doctor quoted, and why my bill had an operation added on that the doctor said he wouldn't do in the initial consultation.
The senior assistant Whitney during the 1st post op told me the reason the operation notes weren't turned in is because the doctor went on vacation right after my surgery and wouldn't be back for several weeks (gone almost 2 months total and didn't tell me). Pam Rice (their "revenue manager") refused to reduce what they were charging me because she said it would be "insurance fraud, " which is a lie because I was paying everything out of pocket (my insurance could only tell the doctor not to charge over X amount, until I hit my deductible). Pam tried to deny that the doctor went on vacation, resulting in the operation notes and 1st post op SNAFU, when I requested to get the 1st post op fee waived.
During my 2nd attempt at a post op it took 2 hours to see the doctor, even though I showed up early to the appointment, because the doctor saw 5 other people before me that were checked in after me. The doctor's office repeatedly attempted to charge me more than what my insurance said they could, and it took multiple phone calls with Pam to fix these errors, because she either didn't want to reduce them or said she would "look into them" but never did.
My monthly payments for the bill I set up with Pam herself weren't being recorded by the budgeting department. When I asked both Pam and Dr. Hey why the quote I was given for the surgery was so off, neither of them cared or wanted to reduce it.

I went to Dr. Hey, Jr., and talked with his staff, not him. A form was given to me for medications, which I was told would help me with my pain and be billed to my insurance. The bill came yesterday, over $4,000. This was for urinating in a cup (twice, after I left they called to tell me more urine was needed, even though I had filled the cup given to me) and for testing the capacity of my bladder. Toxicology reports were done on me through an outside provider and now I could face thousands in fees, which I definitely will contest. No one checked my network, obviously, and I am cancelling my next appointment for a cystoscopy (no telling how much that would cost me). Please, do not go here.
