As always, MCEC is a stress-free experience. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The Optical Department is outstanding! Michael always remembers our names and makes us feel welcome. Paula helped us with our glasses this visit and was excellent. She went out of her way to make sure everything was right.

Not professional. I Went in for a visit and was told I did not need prescription glasses. I then made an appointment with another eye doctor and was told I needed Glasses. So obviously they were completely wrong.

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago. I have never had a better experience at any vision place. I felt so comfortable and happy with every person I worked with. And the optical manager has to be the nicest buy I ever met. You can tell he throughly loves his job and enjoys being there. And my glasses turned out amazing. Super happy. Thank you!

I would give them a 10 star review if I could. I've had a wonderful experience here. Dr. Shupe has always answer all of my questions, he is very knowledgeable and kind. his staff has always returned my calls when needed and if they are not available another team member will call me back. The billing department has been super nice and helpful when I have questions about my bills or codes.

They gave me a huge discount when it was time to have cataract surgery (I am self pay) with Dr. East. The Optical department has always adjusted my glasses at no cost every time I come in for an appointment.

I see Dr. Shupe for my dry eye care, and he always listens to my concerns and address each one. The staff are always friendly and helpful with anything I have concerns with. I absolutely love their glasses selection! Anything for any age or style!

I am a patient here. My Doctor is Dr Shupe. I have been very pleased with my eye care. Dr Shupe takes great pride in his patients eye care. And the Optical Dept are always helpful in finding just the right frames for their patients. They are very courteous and always take their time with you to make sure your lenses are accurate. Very good experience.

I had a scheduled appointment for an infected eye, and upon checking in at the front desk, the usual "covid" questions were asked, as they should be. Answering truthfully, I said I was exposed to covid, through my husband, but was three weeks prior and I proceeded to say that his doctor had cleared him to be out of quarantine. Of course, I followed the recommended state protocol and quarantined myself and had cleared that period as well, all with no symptoms.

I was shocked to learn that even though I was being truthful and had followed all the state recommended rules, I was denied my appointment, saying I needed a negative test. This is not a state requirement. The requirement is that, if exposed, you quarantine for a specified period. Which I did. Despite this, they denied me an appointment and told me that if I wanted to see a doctor I would have to go the the ER or reschedule one month out! 1) Where is the Covid-19 policy on your site that states that you will deny a patient entry into your facility without a negative Covid test? 2) If a would-be patient via doctor referral has followed all the state required protocol, is it necessary or appropriate to introduce additional exclusionary restrictions rendered solely on the basis of what the clinic decides versus following state recommended protocol?

If you have an appt here, I recommend calling ahead to get as much info as you can BEFORE arriving for your initial appt, because as of this writing there is no Covid-19 protocol for new patients (or patients in general) info on their website. I recently had a eye exam and ordered a pair of glasses and the process was fast but upon receiving my glasses they were very loose and kept sliding off my nose. The optical department was very good at fixing the problem and assured me that if I needed further adjustments they would gladly help. Overall I had a good experience.

I recently had a eye exam with Doctor East, He is very professional and friendly. I also ordered a pair of glasses with mike and the process was quick and received my glasses sooner than expected.

I have been a patient to this clinic all of my life and I have never met anyone such as these people who are helpful and kind. 100/10 would recommend for your eye care needs.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shuppe for over a year. I am always seen on time and he and the entire staff are always pleasant and professional. I have great confidence in Dr. Shuppe's expertise. I am new in the area and had established relationship and trust with all my doctors in Los Angeles and was hesitant to try new doctors. Finding him was a blessing. If you are new in town and looking for an optometrist- I highly recommend Dr. Shuppe.

After my optometrist retired after going to her for many years it was not easy to find someone who compared to her. Then I visited Medical Center Eye Clinic. It was a great experience. Coming from a medical background I know how patients should be treated. I felt welcomed and comfortable from the moment I walked into the door. They are great at what they do and keep you informed of everything that is going to happen.

Best eye care clinic! I have seen both Dr. Shupe for dry eye and Dr. Dodd for LASIK surgery. Very happy with both and thrilled with my surgery. Both doctors are very down to earth and take their time and answer all my questions. Have never had to wait long for my appointment. Staff very nice and accommodating. Definitely feel they care and feel taken care of when ever I go.

I went to Med Center Eye for a second opinion and decided to change eye doctors and stay with Med Center. I really liked the doctor (Lapour); he was very nice, answered my questions better, and was more thorough than the eye doctor I had been seeing elsewhere. Calling in to their clinic I actually get a person pretty quickly, without a long automated system, and my experience was that I was seen fairly quickly, and all the staff were nicer and more friendly than at Eye Care Center of Salem in South Salem.

When I called with a follow up question, the assistant called back within an hour. I would have liked a better summary of the doctor's assessment, and parking is an issue, but otherwise it was a better experience, though this was my first visit there. PS The frames at the optical place also appeared more reasonably priced than at the Eye Care Clinic.

Don't let the hideous parking discourage you from making an appointment with one of these doctors. My advice is to park across the street. Nor let the over-crowded, disorganized waiting area influence you. The building is WAY TOO SMALL for the amount of business they do and I almost didn't go back a second time. But, I was impressed with Dr.

East and gave the place another opportunity to be different than it had been during my first visit. It was not. However, once you get beyond that and meet with the personnel behind the scenes the experience is much different. Everyone I met with was professional, kind and attentive. Dr. East is one of the best and I can say that with confidence because the doctor I had been going to for the past 20 years (who retired) was absolutely one of the best and Dr. East is right up there with him.

This is an extremely busy office, at first appearance, it seems a bit disorganized, a bit loud, never a place to park :- but don't let those things dissuade you, you will get top notch treatment. Dr Dodd and his assistant Amelia are kind, compassionate and professional. I have been treated with the utmost kindness from the receptionist, schedulers and book keepers. I give them 2 thumbs UP

I went here to day for the first time. I felt like a real person not a number. I got time with the doctor they listened to me. Dr Shupe was my doctor and he was awesome! What an amazing difference from my last eye doctor. So wonderful and refreshing! Also the staff is amazing and friendly! The best I have found in Salem!

Sad really rude front desk, wife having issues with eyes, called needing to see her eye dr and they say booked until Oct. Really wasn't for a check up, just went somewhere else, will be switching. This place is like airlines, over booking everything
