An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a diagnostic test that measures the electrical activity of the brain in order to detect and evaluate neurological conditions such as epilepsy, dementia and narcolepsy, as well to determine the rate of recovery for patients who are unconscious or in a coma. During the EEG procedure, electrodes are placed on the head to record the electrical activity in the brain, which is interpreted by the doctor.

Steer clear of this office. Dr Aubrechtova doesn't have a clue about Vagus nerve issues howeverits on their website. The doctor sat there in silence and couldn't answer my questions. All she could say was I don't know! She played with the computer and stated she was going to look something up pretending to anyway. How unprofessional! Don't waste your time making an appointment with this place, very loud doctors I heard every conversation through the walls. I overhead a doctor telling a new patient you took a step down coming to see me. Wow! The vibe in this office is totally off. Stay away.

Dr. Werchan is a truly awful practitioner. Not only does he provide completely useless recommendations, he insults you, talks down to you, and demeans you to your face as if you were a child, rather than a patient suffering from ailments that he could care less about. Avoid at all costs.

My experience: "Dr" Werchan was arrogant, condescending, patronizing, accusatory, disorganized, argumentative.and I could go on. I chose this "Dr" from a list of 20 specialists, waited nearly 2.5 months to see him, and drove 1hr to my appointment just to be treated with a complete lack of compassion, dignity, respect or professionalism. It gets better.

After my fiance and I had had enough and decided to leave, he then announced across the waiting for his front office staff to call the police as we were walking out. Seriously? He obviously felt we were going to file a complaint against him, so this was his attempt to discredit us. I have NEVER experienced this type of behavior from a healthcare provider. Unbelievable. This guy should have his licensed revoked. Terrible human being.

Dr Werchan has horrible bedside manner and I would absolutely not recommend him! He doesn't listen well, interrupts, and is impolite. He spoke to us like we were idiots and did not have the intellect to understand the situation. My mom and I both have backgrounds in the medical field, which he was unaware of, and we are quite capable of understanding this type of information. We were both deeply offended by him! His lack of empathy for our situation was also atrocious!

Negligent care. Dr. Aubrechtova simply does not answer my calls or return voicemails: I can't renew a necessary prescription, I can't start a new medication with a Primary Care Physician (PCP) because the PCP needs a my neuro to sign off (and they will not answer my PCP either). Extremely frustrating and a barrier to care.

Doctor Werchan is really helpful and attentive. Gave us all of his time and attention and gave us multiple options to treat my mother's pain. Coming back to say I don't know how I feel about Dr. Werchan. When telling my mom bad news, his bedside manner was awful. He kept referring to the surgeon as the plumber and didn't really answer her questions. He treated surgery as if it wasn't a big deal and was very careless about my moms feelings.

The waiting room is spacious and always very quiet and peaceful. Ladies are reception are efficient. When I check in all my documents are ready for me to sign. There has never been an issue with processing my insurance. There was a complication getting some medication; they stayed on top of the insurance process to get it thru the hoops to approval.

I see Dr. Aubrechtova and absolutely love her! She comes off like a real person, not a staid doctor. She clearly explains your diagnosis or your current situation and what your treatment plan should be. I appreciated that she didn't go straight to extreme treatment when I came in, and instead began conservatively to see what progress I could see with it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Aubrechtova's for several years now. While her care was fine (although she often seemed distracted), the office staff has always left much to be desired (with an exception here and there, of course). What finally spurred me to officially leave the practice was going in a couple of weeks ago and having to tell EVERYONE except Dr. Aubrechtova to put a mask on.

From the front office staff to the nurses, no one was wearing a mask. I consider this completely inappropriate and unsafe, especially considering how many older patients the office sees. I was actually told that the nurses do not have to wear masks at the nurses' station, which is a desk by which every patient walks. I do not write negative reviews of doctor's offices for much, but this was flat out appalling and negligent.

I went to see Dr. Verona about a possible sinus migraine. The offices were shabby, there was a large dead cockroach in the bathroom and when I told the front desk they just shrugged it off. I then saw Dr. Verona and after a brief conversation about my history and symptoms, he began asking me about my birth control use after I told him that I used a barrier method he then stated that either my husband or myself should consider tubal ligation.

I told him I wasn't interested but he made several more comments about how it's something we should consider, he then went on to say that the reason he was saying this is because some medications are really bad for fetuses however they aren't the most effective anyway. I was already uncomfortable about his assistance that I get sterilized on the off change that a medication might work for me, (why not suggest assistance during a trial period first?) and then when he said they wouldn't be the first he'd try anyway I became even more uncomfortable at his repeated insistence that I consider a tubal ligation.

The whole thing put a bad taste in my mouth. I saw him once more and again he brought up the tubal ligation and asked me to come back in 4 months to see if the medication he did prescribe would work. During that period it became apparent to me that the medication was not working and I was dreading my follow up appointment because I felt certain he would try and pressure me to get sterilized just so he could TRY other medications that may not even work.

So I asked me ENT for a referral to a different neurologist. I happened to be referred to another doctor in the same practice (Dr. Abrechtova) and when I called to make the appointment the receptionist was very rude when she found out that I had perviously seen Dr. Verona and told me I wasn't allowed to switch doctors. Even after I told her my reasons she wouldn't allow me to switch and she wouldn't even let me speak with either doctor and then she hung up on me.

I did call back and was able to convince her to at least give Dr. Verona a note asking him if I could speak with him about switching doctors and she called me back saying that both doctors decided that I should find a different practice. So all this to say, I had a very negative experience and do not recommend this practice at all. I trust my ENT and do believe Dr. Hana Abrechtova is probably great, however the way the office is run, the policies and the general uncleanliness are enough for me to recommend you stay away.

Don't walk but RUN to Dr. Verona! He was amazing, patient, kind, thorough, helpful. I could go on and on! I recently saw another neurologist in Austin and had a terrible experience, so after a friend told me about Dr. Verona, I thought I would give his office a try. To my surprise, I left feeling so happy, so relieved and somewhat emotional, because I feel like I finally have a plan to attack my migraines! Dr. Verona did not "throw medicine" at me, but he also didn't tell me to just "take 4 Advil and good luck next time you have a migraine".

I left with a plan to help prevent AND treat my migraines. I also really liked that Dr. Verona actually referenced the paperwork I filled out. He asked me questions about it, took notes, discussed my history and based my treatment on my past and current situation. In addition to Dr. Verona being a really nice person, his staff was courteous and friendly too!

All of my phone calls have been returned the same day too! Dr. Verona's office uses a cool texting program that sends you a text when a prescription is called in for you. I confirmed my pharmacy through this program and picked the time I needed it ready- so convenient! It also gave me a coupon card to give the pharmacist if needed! Overall, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Verona and his staff. I didn't feel like just a number, I felt like I was treated like a human being who needed help and was given it patiently! I highly recommend Dr. Verona!
