We received nothing but excellent care for our 5 week old. Specifically the ER had the best service I've ever experienced! We felt very comfortable leaving our son in these doctors' hands!

Thanks to the all the nurses in NICU on the 5th floor they were very kind and nice, they make us feel easy when we saw them taking care of our son. Thanks to the Drs. I don't remember all the names (sorry) Thanks to Dr. Dimas and Regina from plastics, especially to Lita Guajardo ( speech therapy) for teaching me how to feed our son. GOD BLESS THEM ALL

Our twin sons have been involved in therapies here for the last few years. One of our sons has since tested out, but our other son is still attending. Neither has had a bad experience, and the staff is very helpful and nice. They've also been taken care of by the high-risk clinic, and they try to help as much as they are able. Always clean and kind.

My son had to be halo flighted here with a fractured skull. I was extremely stressed and emotional but I made it through with the help of the great staff! All of the personnel from the flight crew to the doctors and nurses were so helpful and kind. There were even people that came around and played games with my son to help him feel better. I was so impressed. Also the facilities were very up to date and clean.

The doctors and nurse staff were helpful and knowledgeable. My child was diagnosed and helped with all the best equipment available. From start to finish it took about 4.5 hours but they ran multiple test and he was seen by multiple staff.

I never have a complaint because every time I take my kids in everyone, is always nice and professional. But yesterday, I took my daughter in for labs and let me just say one of the phlebotomy girls does not belong working with kids. She was rude and impatient and very tough with my daughter. She bruised my daughters cheek! My daughter was telling her you're choking me, and she said I'm trying to get you to open your mouth so I can swab your throat! Very rudely. I proceeded to tell her just stop! And let her know if you don't have the patience to do your job, then you don't belong working with children!

Went to 2 other places, to try to get our son rehydrate (IV solution), as he couldn't keep anything down after one day of being sick. Other 2 places made me start to doubt this city, but this place killed all those doubts. We were seen IMMEDIATELY, and were in a room within 5 minutes. An hour and a half later, and son was already able to start drinking fluids again.

After we left, it was not even an hour, and he was able to keep food down, as well. Thank you, and this is now our "go to" place. Further from us than 4 other facilities, but it's worth the drive.

Nurses, resident doctors were great. It is the first children hospital where just the children gets the food and parents have to leave kids with a nurse to go and buy food. And it is the first hospital that the specialist doesn't go and visit the patient for several days in a row, my kid was admitted for a UTI and she was discharged with pain when she pee and without having the follow up appointment with the specialist.

I had to take her to Mexico and I can't understand how the hospital didn't found out that the infection was also on the right kidney and supposedly for discroll hospital everything was great.

The lady at the receptionist when you first walk in at the main entrance behind the 2 glass windows was super rude. I asked her to repeat herself ( I didn't hear her ) and she asked if I was deaf. It was my first time here I took my daughter to get some blood work done because I'm from kingsville and we don't have any childrens hospitals there. Also the lady at the lab that checks you in was rude.

She got mad cause I didn't know the first name of my daughters pediatrician, and the other lady who took my daughters blood. I think her name was Isabella, did not calm my daughter down at all when my daughter was crying, she stayed quiet the whole time. Which was oddly weird to me. I had a very unpleasant experience, I'm not sure if I will ever return here well at least for lab work. If you don't like your job, don't take it out on the patients!

I will never use Driscoll Children's Hospital ER services again for my son. My son went in for dehydration and since it was the weekend we couldn't take him to his regular doctor and an urgent care facility turned us away saying he needed IVs (my son is very young). So we decided to take him to DCH ER to ensure his situation didn't become an ER needed situation, however he was low complexity of needed services (he just couldn't keep liquids down).

They gave my son a pill and gatorade via a syringe which my husband gave a certain amount of gatorade to my son every 5 minutes. I feel like the actual services were adequate as my son quickly was able to hold food and liquids down. We left the hospital 2 hours later. The reason for the 1 star review and why I will never use their ER services is the nurses and doctors vastly over billed for services performed.

No tests, no IVs, no imaging, and no procedures were performed on my son. He was not a complicated case, but the hospital wanted to charge $1,800 for their services. I spoke to the hospital and they reduced the bill by 65% which ended up being around $700, but I still feel taken advantage of by their extravagant medical billing based on the low complexity of my son's condition.

I paid the reduced bill, but next time I will take my son to Christus Spohn as I have personally used their ER services before and have never needed to question the extravagant billing with them. I expected to pay slightly higher for ER services, but their billing was just plain crazy. I don't write reviews often, but I felt I needed to in this circumstance as I don't feel like they were a valuable service to the community if they put the same patient's family into financial distress due to their over billing for their services.
