Terrible service and staff. I have been going to this DR for at least 5 years and each year the service and the staff just gets worst and worst. I hate writing reviews and as you can see i dont write them much as no one has time for all of this. But this had to be written. The staff is just under trained and not compitent in thier line of work. They cannot figure out the insurance and supply situation.

Dallas Sleep office manager is completely unprofessional. I had a sleep study done two years ago and called in for a prescription so i can get a FREE CPAP.I was told i need to come in for another sleep study which is another 190 out of pocket. When i asked the NP why she said you may not need a CPAP but another machine. I didn't get my CPAP from them the first time because they were trying to push another product on me that my insurance didn't cover.
I told them i found a way to get one free through my insurance and just need my prescription. Guess they want the money to go to their hands. Im already looking for a new doctor.

Beware! I was told with my insurance that the test was going to cost $50. I asked repeatedly and was assured that that was correct. Well guess what? She was wrong. She didn't suggest I call my insurance to verify benefits. Now I am being billed $700. If I would have known it was going to a deductible, I would have waited and not had it done on 12/28. I always trust the doctors office when they quote me an amount and have never had an issue.

Avoid this sleep center. I have done two sleep studies here. The first (diagnostic) went well. The second (titration) was awful. I left with the most horrible sort throat of my life, and was unable to properly seat my mask unassisted. I asked the technician for assistance, and she (literally) patted me on the shoulder, said "Oh, no worry - you get used to!" and left.
I talked with the office and asked for follow-on assistance. I did not want to purchase nearly $1000 in CPAP equipment if I could not successfully use it. I asked for a complimentary office visit to learn how to seat my mask and a free two-night CPAP rental to ensure that the humidity could be adjusted so that I would not have a horrible sore throat each day.
After multiple conversations, my request was denied. The whole purpose of a titration sleep study is to ensure that patients can successfully use CPAP equipment at home and that settings are properly adjusted for their comfort. I spent $700 on this sleep study out of my own pocket, and I got none of what I paid for. To top it all off - 24 hours later I started running a fever, and ended up with a severe double ear infection, laryngitis, and sinus infection.
My GP suspects that I caught something at the lab due to the timing of the onset of symptoms, and the fact that I am almost never sick. She is suspicious of their sterilization procedures, so be forewarned. I am sorry to say that Dallas Sleep seems more interested in profit than they are in patient outcomes. I didn't ask for much - just to be given the assistance I should have received during my sleep study. They're not willing to do even that much. I think that's inexcusable.

This place is terrible, stay away. They try to get you to take unnecessary tests that will be denied by your insurance company, because they are unnecessary and then try to get you to pay out of your own pocket. When I decided not to return and cancelled my last appointment they proceeded to charge me a "No Show" fee of $35 even though I cancelled the appointment more than 24 hours in advance. Seems like they only want to get money out of you, not really help you. Now I am getting bills they say I owe for dates that I did not have appointments when I have already paid them.

Placing an order for CPAP supply in this place was a nightmare. Every time I had to wait several days till some one could answer my messages and call me back to take an order. The only person who was responsive is Ashley from McKinney office. Every time I had a hard time to prove that I met my $500 deductible. Last time, the lady that handled my payment was very rude because I insisted I had to pay much less of what they asked, cause my deductible was met.
She reacted as I took her personal money out of her wallet. Last time I attempted to place an order I was told that Dallas Sleep do not handle this anymore and referred me to Xmed (see my separate review for Xmed), which was another bad experience and now I do not really know where to order the supplies, because Xmed do not work with my insurance.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. I was referred by Endocrinologist who is probably receiving payback for each referral as Dallas Sleep is ridiculous with their fee structure. I refused to share a credit card number on file at my first appointment to allow any charges to be applied without prior consent. Initial appointment was merely to tell me they would talk with my insurance company to determine if a study is covered in office or at home. Received a $300 invoice for this "consultation". Unreal.

I wish I had read the other reviews before I started here. My dentist referred me and insisted I ask for Dr. Kakkar. I did get a sleep study and definitely choose Plano over the Dallas location and I got a second study with a cpap machine. This all went smoothly but because my insurance requires me to rent the machine first and they of course only care about you if you buy one.
I have spent countless hours on hold or nobody picking up to find out what I need to do. Finally got through to a real person at Dallas Sleep and the company they just sent my request in says they need two weeks to process it. So even though all the advertising says they want to get you treatment even before all the steps are done, I think they meant if you pay cash and buy it yourself.
I fill stuck without a choice to wait it out, but scared to know the effect it is having on my health while I wait. It is better to go with a referral from a trusted friend and so I wish I had seen her sleep doctor first but I can't take the time to try to start over this far into the process.

Worst experience ever. Have never even seen Dr. Kakar and the staff is never available when you need to speak to someone. On top of that they sent my Personal Health Information to the wrong place. So I still don't have my supplies and now my PHI has possibly been compromised. When we had a problem with the office saying my insurance had declined a procedure they said "we can call your insurance but you'll be charged $50.00 for each call." Yet when I contacted my insurer the said the procedure had never been declined.
My opinion is steer clear of Dallas Sleep you'll never be able to talk to the Dr. and the office staff will not assist you when there's a problem. That is if you can reach them. If I could rate them lower than 1 star I would.

The Doctor is great Do not trust the prices that Unique provides you You pay your bill upon receipt of it and then get subsequent bills for additional cost and supplies What's worse The young ladies in the front have to deliver the message you owe more than you were told and he in the back and doesn't even take the time to review it That's just WRONG

This office made me cross so much red tape to be seen only to refuse to let me make an appointment because my debit card on file expires in September. I was told this on June 6th. After a doctors referral, a consultation, a card on file, a huge stack of paperwork, an insurance verification and approval, emails back and forth for liability paperwork, only to be told I need to get a new card to make an appointment. Mind you, I have a copay.

This place is a JOKE I went in for my initial visit and spoke to the dr for about 5 minutes, not kidding. In that 5 minutes he uncovered basically what I had already filled out in the paperwork. They then charged me $179 for the visit and now they say my insurance will not cover a sleep study. They knew that was the reason I was there, but failed to get prior authorization from my insurance.
All they want is your money. They just waste your time and take your money. I hope someone can put a stop to these money hungry thieves. ******DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE******

Brought my new patient forms to office today for appointment next week. It included their Credit Card on File / Automatic Billing Authorization Form. Having been hit with credit card fraud, I do not give out my credit card number unless absolutely necessary and definitely don't want it in someone's file. I was told, without this form, they will not treat me.

The facts: They did diagnose me correctly and gave me a few options on how to address. I have never seen or met a "Doctor" here. Always a PA. It takes me a minimum of 3 tries to get supplies ordered from them. That is my only real beef with Dallas Sleep. You think they want to take your money when it comes to supplies. It's either they are swamped busy or need better organization.
