The clinical care is generally good. The providers are compassionate, knowledgeable, and seem to enjoy their jobs. Administratively, however they are extremely frustrating to engage with. To make a telemed sick visit, it cannot be done online--we have to sit on the phone on hold for half an hour or more or request a call back. The call back is usually received one hour or later and by then nearly all the appointments are taken, or at least appointments at a reasonable time.
They insist on patients using the portal, which is not user friendly at all. I have been waiting over a week to get access to lab results because I have been locked out of my daughter's account. The ONLINE portal prompted me to call the office directly, but when I called the office they told me I had to e-mail them to request access. Since then I have been emailing back and forth with the office but still have no access. I hope she doesn't have COVID.

We initially had a good experience however, when we moved and requested records be sent to the new practice they would not release our records and deactivated our portal account. This caused issues with trying to continue care and vaccinations at another practice. Very difficult to get ahold of them on the phone. Not worth the clerical difficulties when there are many other well qualified pediatric practices in the area.

About 3 mos ago our 2 pediatricians retired from Family Practice of Crofton and we were devastated and unsure what was next. Today, I called Annapolis Peds and received a call back within 2 hours, which was nice so I did not have to hold. I had the pleasure of speaking with Akilah (sorry if misspelled). She was super helpful, reassuring, and very friendly.
The process of registering my two daughters was very fluid and I am thankful we have found a new place to care for them. First impressions are everything! If our next encounter is as good as this, we are in great hands for sure.

My daughter's appointment with Dr. Turner was very productive. She listened to our concerns and came up with a plan for treatment. We have been going to this practice for years with our three children and have always been happy but this particular visit and the experience with Dr. Turner stood out. Both she and Dr. Fonseka are outstanding in their care and concern for patients.

The Good and the Bad: I started going to Annapolis Pediatrics back in 2016 after encountering a wonderful front desk person at the Annapolis location and immediately decided to go no where else. Well lots have changed since then. I went to Crofton and it was decent for the newest addition to the family--newborn appointment. Then back at Annapolis days later for the first time in a long time and was DISAPPOINTED in the rude tone of the new front desk person. For this reason I intend to go to Crofton. I think sometimes folks really forget there are PLENTY doctor offices with good customer service that a patient can go to.

Back in 2015, when I was still a patient at Annapolis Pediatrics, I had a very meaningful interaction with Kristen Medina, a nurse practitioner. I can't remember the exact reason for my visit that day, but I know it had something to do with the loss of my mother a year before and symptoms I was experiencing because of it. I could tell Kristen was very concerned and actually cared about how I was feeling.
I remember it being an emotional visit. During that visit, Kristen was encouraging me to take an antidepressant, but I was afraid to. I wish I had listened because it didn't get easier. Being almost 27 now and finally medicated, things have been better. When I went to take my pill today, it made me think of this encounter. Shortly after that visit, Kristen called to check on me, which I appreciated.
Even when I missed the call, she called again. That type of care is what helps people keep going. I know this is a kind of a lengthy review, but I wanted to express my gratitude to Kristen and encourage anyone who reads this to visit this office. Thank you!

We have taken my newborn grandson to both the Severna park and Annapolis office. The providers have been great, was very easy and quick to get appointment. We have not spent much time waiting at either place before being seen. I also love if your child is sick and need to be seen they get you in same day.
