The duration of a drug prescription will depend on the condition being treated. Acute infections may require treatment for 3 to 14 days while long-term health conditions, like diabetes or hypertension, will require indefinite treatment. Long term medicines are usually written for a 30 day supply with 6 refills.
I have been with this family practice for over 25 years, even b4 it was FMAA. Dr. Mircea and at the early years, Dr Lugo have taken very good care of me and my family and we thank God for them and their staff. I've seen 4 doctors in the last 10 years. I've never really had one primary doctor in that I only see a doctor when I need a physical or routine examination.

Hi there! Your site is currently redirecting to GoDaddy landing page. From the previous experience it was not possible to make an appointment online, when the site was up it would ask you to call the phone number so that's voicemail you have at the moment is misleading. Another big minus for me is that it is so hard to hear back from the doctor. You get a referral and test results back, use the portal to message provider and there is no response for a long time. So what is the best way to reach the doctor and follow up on the test results? Why doesn't it feel like a dead end?

I just called to make an appointment. The female was very rude. As she asked me what insurance company I had, I told her to hold on, so I can double check the company name. As I do so, she states, "she doesn't even know the name of the insurance company". What was the point in that. I am honestly disappointed; I go to Dr. Lugo clinic because of how welcoming it use to make me feel. The front desk ladies have been working there for years, so this was very surprising. I asked her name and she hung up.

I booked an appointment for rapid Covid testing here like a week ago through there website. Today just two hours before my appointment, they called and informed they are gonna collect $195 for testing. That's insane. I have provided my insurance information and they confirmed that they take my insurance. Rapid Covid testing is free everywhere and they are charging money. In there website they don't mention it. And their customer service is unprofessional.

The providers here are incompetent. There is a lack of follow up, and office has poor communication. When you get calls regarding lab results the MA's don't give appropriate and pertinent information. The NP's will see you, without even looking at your chart to obtain your history. Go elsewhere. You have been warned.

9/1/2021: Update - I contacted the Office again on Monday, August 30, 21 and was told that my prescription order was submitted on 8/24/21. I asked that it be resubmitted to which the receptionist stated that she had found a doctor to sign off for the resubmission. I contacted CVS this morning, September 1, 2021, and once again was told that nothing has been submitted.
So the ".resolved today" statement from the doctor's office is a fib. My April appointment was scheduled with Dr. Marcia to get an Annual Checkup and Blood Pressure Meds refilled. I called the Office on 8/24/2021 to inquire about the refill of my Blood Pressure medicine since I had not heard from CVS as of yet. A short discussion ensued and then I was told it would be 2-3 days before approval.
I called again on 8/27/21 and was told that the refill request was submitted on 8/24/21 and to call CVS. Since I have not heard from CVS via text as of yet, I decided to called today, 8/29/21, and was told that they have no record of a refill order. This, by any doctor or it's office is unacceptable.

If you are a full-time working parent and Alexandrian resident thinking about becoming a new patient here, take 3 minutes to read this review so that you do not waste your precious time here. I've literally never written a review online, but please, let me share my experience so that you won't have to waste your time. We were looking at making this our new family practitioner, but administratively, the office is so poorly run that we had to drive there twice, and we didn't even get to see the doctor.
They have a mandatory policy that if you do not arrive 30 minutes early, the doctor will not see you. As a new Alexandrian resident, I sent both my daughter's and my entire medical history to the office manager prior to our first appointment. We arrived 30 minutes early, but were not seen until 20 minutes after the appointment time. They took my blood and examined my daughter, but had to reschedule my appointment because we were told that no doctor could see us back to back.
So remember, I filled out all new patient paperwork, and they took my blood, and they have my previous family history. At this point, they have everything they could have for an existing patient, except new doctor's notes. I was on my way to the appointment from work, and was stuck in traffic. I called twice to let them know I was on my way, but would be 5 minutes late.
The woman on the phone said, "If you're not here at 2, the doctor won't see you." I explained I tried to call, but couldn't get through. Then I was told, "You should have been here 30 minutes ago." I explained that all of my paperwork was with the office, and they had my blood! I (admittedly angrily) asked to speak to the office manager, but he would not get on the phone.
The woman on the phone said, "You can talk to him when you get here, " to which I replied, "I'm not going to drive all the way there just to talk to the office manager if I won't be seen by a doctor, " to which she replied, "Oh, I thought you said you were on your way here." I was on my way there. I was not going to continue wasting my time to argue the point that I did my due diligence to communicate, prepare and arrive as closely to on time as I could if I was not going to see a doctor. Needless to say, I had rescheduled two afternoons in my calendar, and only my daughter was seen.
To me, if a doctor doesn't recognize the importance of the bedside manner of her staff, that's a direct reflection on her discernment and decision-making. (Two qualities which are important, especially in a physician!) I was recommended here through my insurance and my benefits portal through work, and I will be sure to correct any misconceptions there that my colleagues should have to deal with this time-sucking train wreck of an office. They'd be better off using an urgent care clinic.
