Dr. Chhabra is the best. I have been to a few Endos in my years while moving from NJ to NY to finally VA last year and she has been able to somehow stabilize my Hashimotos Thyroiditis, which is difficult to control and seems to have a mind of it's own due to many of my other health conditions as well. She is kind and patient and really listens to you.
I am very impressed with her and will continue for many years to come to be a patient here. I never had an issue with the front desk lady or the woman who calls from her home to confirm appointments. The front desk woman (Kathy) could absolutely use backup or a secondary secretary to assist her. She is always insanely busy.

Very disappointing is an understatement. Having a history of Grave's Disease since the age of 23, a family history that includes Grave's Disease, Hypo & Hyperthyroidism, and T3/T4 levels to indicate something was going on with my thyroid yet again doctor Chhabra completely dismissed my concerns. She did however see that I had a nodule on the left side of my thyroid, I had an ultrasound followed by ultrasound guided biopsy a few weeks later which came back in the pathologist's opinion as benign.
I say that she dismissed my concerns due to the given family history (which she said I do not have a family history) my mother, sister, father and both maternal/paternal grandmothers have a history of thyroid dysfunction and she also told me that I do not nor did I ever have Grave's disease ( I have been diagnosed/treated by two different endocrinologist in two different states for Grave's and that she does not look at the T3 and T4 levels she only wants to see (in her words) TSH levels.
I was referred by my PCP because of my T3/T4 levels along with the nodule. Dr. Chhabra also told me that she doesn't know what causes nodules/goiters to grow, when in fact antibodies do cause nodules/goiters to grow, antibodies that are present with Grave's disease, antibodies which she did acknowledge were high in my lab work. I left dismissed and told that she would see me in a year and I would have another ultrasound.
That was in July 2018, in December of 2018 I went back to my PCP because the nodule had visibly grown. I told her of my experience and she immediately referred me to an other endocrinologist. The new endocrinologist pulled up my ultrasound saw that it had grown, discussed my T3/T4 levels, acknowledged that I have a fairy heavy family history of thyroid disorder, acknowledged that my Grave's Disease was present noted by the high level of antibodies and then we discussed options.
She also noted that I had small nodules on the right side of my thyroid which was not told to me by Dr. Chhabra. After discussing all my options the best one for me was a total thyroidectomy. She sent me to an Endocrine Surgeon where he proceeded to tell me that his lab re-ran my biopsy and they put me in a grade 4 on the Bethsaida scale (which is to say suspicious of Follicular Neoplasm =cancer).
I am a week out from having my total thyroidectomy and my biopsy came back yesterday. It confirmed Follicular Carcinoma. All of this took place within a six month time frame from my 2nd and last visit with Dr. Chhabra. Not only is a second opinion important but you need to listen to your gut, when you feel someone didn't listen to you, dismissed you, or made you feel as though you don't know what you are talking about, it is time to get a second opinion. Dr. Chhabra was negligent in my care and could have cost me my health or worse my life.
I am writing primarily because I do not wish this to happen to any future patients. Thankfully, my future is bright and it has everything to do with pressing forward for truth, and good health care.
