Good eye health starts early. It's important to monitor and track vision changes during this stage of life by having regular eye exams. In early adulthood, typically between ages 18 and 21, your eyes have completely developed and are stable. The type of vision correction treatment will depend on the health of your eyes and your current prescription. Annual eye exams are very important at this stage of your life to ensure any conditions that may be devloping are caught in a timely manner and treated.

I couldn't be happier! Dr Wood was the 4th doctor I saw for severe upper and lower eyelid issue that had intensified over 3 weeks. I surmised that I had debris (saw dust) in my eyelids from home remodeling and had clogged the ducts that secrete oil. The previous 3 doctors were treating me for a stye (an infection) with antibiotics and each one said the other one's were prescribing the wrong medication.
The correct diagnosis was inflammation from chalazions. Styes are typically at the edge where the eyelashes are, mine were deep inside the eyelids which is where chalazions are located. Dr Wood described what the issue was (debris clogging the ducts causing severe inflammation) and how he would correct the problem. He made sure that the pain was minimal and his bedside manner was first class! I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone to him for an eye issue.

My visit with Dr. Jose was great. He was thorough, efficient and courteous. He took the time to answer any questions I had and I was pleased with my visit. However, I was not too impressed with the technician that took my history and pre exam. I thought it was unprofessional of her to complain and moan about her back problem on a continual basis plus she would interrupt or hold up her hand to me every time I tried to ask a question. I didn't appreciate that at all. Overall I was pleased with my visit and will continue to see Dr. Jose as my ophthalmologist.

Northwest Eye Physicians is a great office to go to if you have any problems with your eyes. I highly recommend them. There is very little waiting to see your doctor and their staff for preliminary tests. I'm 78 years old and have the eyes of a 50 year old. I no longer need prescription eye glasses, only use commercial glasses for reading small print.
