Went with fiancee because of eye trauma. The nurses were fantastic. The doctor acted short and perscibed her some medicated drops and to come back. She came back a few days later and he was still acting rude, like he didn't want to deal with us. Despite her blurry vision, he said she should be fine in a few days. She came back after a few weeks, because she was having vision problems still, to the point were she couldn't watch tv and was having headaches, and he said she had perfect vision and left.

She has recently went to Patterson eye care, she got diagnosed with astigmatism as well as that basically the eye wound was reopening itself. Tl;dr Nurses are fantastic here, doctor was dismissive. Even if he does know what to do, you can't treat a patient you can't care for or listen to. I'd recommend Patterson if you have a choice.

I would agree with some of the reviews about his bedside manner. He comes off as a little unfriendly and impatient, but he is an excellent eye doctor. I went in for a routine check up and mentioned an issue I was having so he checked and found that my retina was starting to detach. He was very concerned and scheduled laser surgery for that same day.

I had to wait a little but when he was all done in the clinic he came to the surgery center and took care of my issue. He and his staff worked after hours to make sure the detachment did not progress. I am very thankful for him and his staff. They will always be the place I trust my vision to.

If I could give zero, I would. Waited in the second exam room for for the doctor for 58 minutes. At one point I opened the door and asked if they had forgotten me. When he finally showed up, He had me look at the hot air balloons then had me look around while he shined a light in my eyes, wrote me a prescription and said my eyes hadn't changed. Not sure how he knew that since it was my first visit. What happened to being asked which letters were more clear?

Horrible experience that have left me confused. I have been dealing with my left eye closing for about a year now. During the 3 second exam he told me my eyes were moist then told me it was just dry eye and to gain some perspective and left the room immediately. My primary Doctor said I most likely have a neurological condition but I wanted to see a Professional Eye Doctor before going down that route but he was the most unprofessional doctor I have met.

I was not rude at all I am not sure why he was rude, it was unnecessary and uncalled for. Bottom line - he does not care! This is the first and only bad review I have ever left but Please, if you are young and have an eye problem that is not a simple in and out appointment please find another doctor.

Felt like a cattle drive. Have a ton of tests done, no one tells you what they are and what they are for. Doctor comes in, very rudely takes two seconds to say "you're fine". No explanations of any of the tests results. On the way out, I ask for a copy of the test results (to take to another doctor) and I get a prescription for glasses that was never mentioned in the brief encounter with the doctor. Nothing was explained, no communication. Go in, get all the stuff done, pay me and good bye! Awful!

I was very nervous about getting cataract eye surgery as I am so young. Dr. Baker and Nina and there nurses all put me at ease and it is really incredible what I can see! For example, I had no idea one of my friends had blue eyes and I could see deer in the woods perfectly. Dr Baker is extremely skilled and Nina is very kind and compassionate. They make a great team and I highly recommend them for everyone!

Dr Baker came highly recommended to me from several friends and family members. He did cataract surgery on my left eye and is such a nice dr. Very polite, no long wait times. He is keeping a close eye on the nerve in my eyes and started me on drops for high pressure. He is very professional and courteous. I highly recommend him. The staff is all nice and professional too. I'd give him more then 5 stars if I could.

Dr. Baker took my vision from 20/400 in each eye to 20/20 with PRK surgery. He is very intelligent and explained the procedure in depth and reassured me of the success of the surgery. The procedure was quick and effective with the results being a life-changing experience. ( no more contacts or glasses!) When choosing a doctor, I believe in choosing a doctor who is well-educated and has the experience to ensure the best results!

I have to say that I was actually surprised at the attention I received at this eye clinic. Way better then I have ever been treated at the VA for sure. The wait wasn't to bad as they have very relaxing music playing softly and I did get a full work up done with a appointment for two weeks away. Very quick response and very professionally ran. I highly recommend if you are tired of the same old run around at your eye doctors.

I posted a few months ago and I wish to offer an update. After complaining about blurry vision and seeing Dr. Baker at his morning worst, and being told in no uncertain terms, that I must be deranged. My eyes and his cataract surgery were dang near as good as famous ballplayer Ted Williams. As it turns out, my blurry vision was being caused by a long-term use of Zanax. Huh! I wonder why they ask you to bring all your prescriptions in? You'd think a surrly surgeon would know that. Huh?

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Baker! He was professional yet down to earth. He was very thorough & ended up saving my mother almost a grand on a procedure she thought she wanted but didn't really NEED. His staff was courteous & professional. This was my mom's SECOND surgery with Dr. Baker & we highly, HIGHLY reccomend Dr. Baker & his staff! All of our family will ALWAYS return to Baker Eye Institute for the QUALITY OF SERVICE & PROFESSIONALISM OF DR. BAKER & STAFF.

I'm from out of state and I broke my glasses. They were so helpful and quick at responding to what I needed. They didn't have my prescription but they gave me other labs to call. They were so patient and helpful. I'd definitely go to them if I lived in Arkansas.

I bought a pair of eye glasses from Connie at Baker Eye Institute. They are the worse pair of glasses I've ever owned. I paid $400.00 for them. She wouldn't take any time with me to see if they fit properly and just told me they look like they fit fine. The lenses are too wide, they slip down my nose and I can see clearly with them. They are supposed to have progressive lenses which I've always had in the past. I'm bumping into things, constantly trying to readjust them to see anything at all. They don't fit on my ears properly. My guess is they are a one size fits all which is something I am particular to avoid because I have a narrow face.
