Waited 6 hours for 3 year old to be seen by provider. Then was told that nothing could be done as wound clotted from wait. Avoid this ED at all cost if possible, especially on weekend nights. And if not life threatening, you'll be seen by a nurse practitioner. They obviously don't care to provide adequate staff or care to accommodate given that they're fully aware of wait times.

I would not recommend taking your child here! They take almost 30 min to get to you. When they sit at the counter and talk and laugh before you can even get helped. There is horrible service. Like y'all told me I was suppose to get a scope at 7:30 a.m. and it's almost 10 a.m. And my setup appointment from 3 months ago is getting pushed back AGAIN now. y'all's services are horrible. Yeah there may be a bunch of people in the building. But you can still check on your patience. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! and I would never take my kids here as a parent.

Hands down the best hospital we've been to. We were visiting for spring break when our sons appendix ruptured and had to have emergency surgery. Everything happened so fast and as parents we were nervous. The staff made us feel more at ease. The doctors and nurses were so helpful and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The child Life staff who came in to play games, ease his mind, do art with him and ask his needs were a life saver. They were such a huge help. Sounds crazy but we were in the right place at the right time when this happened.

The entire Children's Mercy staff are exceptional. My 6 month old son had to have emergency surgery and it's such a scary thing to go through. The bedside manner, professionalism, communication and knowledge the staff demonstrated was so reassuring. The hospital itself is super adorable. Very clean, inviting and easy to navigate. The doctors never left me waiting and they took a team approach to communicate and execute the best plan for his surgery, Although the hospital was busy, I we never lacked attention. It makes me so happy that children are able to get this kind of care. I can't say enough good things about our experience

My youngest son just had surgery here. He has several medical problems and we have been to several hospitals, several doctors, and several experiences. CMH has exceeded our expectations on every level. I was completely informed the entire time my son was in surgery via their app. Every staff member we encountered was amazing, comforting, and encouraging. We left feeling completely informed of our son's after care. Thank you Children's Mercy!

After years of trying to figure out what's been going on with our littles stomach this location took the BEST care of our son! They welcomed us with open arms and made sure us scared and worried parents know our boy was in good hands! Danielle, our sons nurse, took the BEST care of him! He is still taking about his new friend! We are so thankful for all they did to help our boy out while admitted for the weekend! I highly recommend this hospital!

You all work long and hard hours and you clock in and sometimes don't clock back out. Long shifts and you see the sun come up and the moon rise. You all see all kinds of hard things and some good. You are full of emotions yourselves but somehow you keep a straight face in the public eye. Y'all are like Marines, first to be called out and the last to come in once the mission is over. You see life and death everyday. So I totally agree to support all medical responders. Especially our Doctors nurses all over the world. Thank you for all you do!

Took wonderful care of my grandson when he was first born (2010) and then again in 2020. Nursing staff (cardiology and PICU) was so amazing! A Huge thank you goes out to them for everything (and then some), as they went above and beyond the extra mile. The hospital is very beautiful and clean and security is top notch.
