Worst customer service experience I've ever had in my life. After countless calls back and forth and hours wasted trying to pay a bill because a) their letters to my house never arrive for mysterious reasons b) their emails don't arrive either and c) I can't pay bills online because there is somehow no record of me in their system, I'm now getting hit with new surprise bills months after my visit and have to go through the whole infuriating process all over again.

I would especially like to complement the Aides working as the front line to the patients. I find your Aides at the Mendocino Ave. S.R. facility to be extremely polite, and eager to serve the patients to the best of their abilities. On numerous occasions, Dr. Hayes' Aide went out of her way to notify me of ongoing issues with the insurance company. Thank you so much!

I am still suffering from Execma for over 3 years now because O was unfortunate enough to go to Redwood Dermatology and be seen by Jenn Hays. I'd Execma a couple of times before the time before around 7 years ago and always before within a month I'd been given a steroid shot. This time when I asked repeatedly for the steroid shot Ms. Hays refused to not only give me a shot but totally ignored my request and wouldn't explain but she just wouldn't do so.
Then she suggested over the counter creams which did nothing had me go go through a few minutes at a time standing in a sun booth. Then made it very clear to me she wasn't able to help me anymore. By the time about 5 or 6 months later when I was referred to another Dermatology department it was too late even though I finally received the steroid shot.
I'm now with another dermatologist through Kaiser since my insurance changed. And I've received another steroid shot that didn't help either since I believe it was too long of a period before I received a shot. I would not recommend Ms. Hays for execma care because she didn't really have a clue how to treat it. And I also did not appreciate her cold and arrogant attitude. But thanks to her lack of treatment I still have this miserable skin disease.

I've been a patient at RFD for about 5 years. I've always been treated well and have had no issues except having to schedule way in advance. I recently saw a different doctor at the office on Hoen; Dr. Hayes. Great experience. Dr. Hayes was friendly, fast and efficient. The office staff and medical assistant were friendly and helpful.

Not treated professionally in various capacities. They were incapable of contacting and dealing with my insurance company. I was charged an exorbitant amount for a simple procedure. I kept having to see different doctors. one of the doctors even tried to set me up on a date with one of her friends, during treatment. The office seemed very disorganized and over burdened. I've gone to a few dermatologists in the area and none were very impressive. This was one of the worst.

I found Redwood Family Dermatology on Google reviews, so wanted to share my experience for others. I went in for a consultation with Dr. Park in mid-December for a persistent skin issue around my eye. During the consultation, she tried convincing me it was "just dry skin", suggested the use of lanolin, and said she'd take a culture if I wanted her to.
I honestly found this kind of offensive - I know my skin well, and something was clearly wrong (it was staph, fyi). I also asked her to give me a ballpark of how much the cultures would cost, as I explained I didn't want any surprise medical bills. The estimate she gave me was hundreds below the bill I received. I then had to call back to find the results - which was staph, very much not just dry skin. Between the surprise big bill, and her suggesting my skin issue was just in my head, I didn't feel respected and won't be returning.

Dr. Dickey did a full body skin exam - not my favourite thing, and was professional, informative and pleasant. She must spend a lot of her time repeating things people don't heed (wear sunscreen, put on long-sleeved and covering clothes, etc.) but she is patient. She manages for the patient not to feel rushed, though she is doing the chart at the same time as the exam (as any medical practice necessitates in our society's medical set up). I strongly recommend her and her office. The staff are on the ball, and it's a good location.
