I couldn't have been happier with my visit today with Dr. Blumenthal. I wasn't happy with my daughter's previous pediatrician so I found her a new one! Everyone was so nice and made my daughter feel comfortable. The Dr listened to all my concerns and answered all of my questions! She was so patient and caring towards my daughter. I'm so incredibly happy I found Dr. Blumenthal!

Have been taking my kids here since they were babies. Love the doctors and staff! They always take the time to listen to my concerns even when I'm being an overly worried mother.

This practice is owned by a husband and wife this review is only about the husband. We needed some paper work signed for school, they said he was too busy to sign at the moment and he was going to leave at lunch for the day (12:00) it being 11:30 I said I could just wait thinking it was not that big of deal to sign a paper. As I was in the waiting room he came storming, I mean ligit slammed open the door as hard as he could I was sitting with my daughter and it literally terrified her and me to be honest.

He grabbed the paper from me and turned around and slammed the door again behind him. He is a very big man so it had a big impact. I have never seen any kind of professional, led alone a doctor act this way. We will never come back and to be honest I would never feel comfortable to be in the same room with him again.

Due to change in insurance we were no longer able to see our regular pediatrician at Hoag. I was frantically trying to find a new pediatrician because my baby was due for his 2 month vaccines. When I called the office to schedule an appointment, Dr. Blumenthal personally answered the phone right away and stated he sometimes helps out with office calls when his staff is very busy.

I was able to schedule an appointment and saw him two days later. When we arrived the doctor took his time answering all of my questions (and I had several) and even followed up 5 minutes after our appointment with more information regarding my last question. Overall very easy going and thorough pediatrician. The only gripe was that we arrived to our appointment on time and waited 30 minutes for doctor to come see us and it was quite warm in there!

Other than that everything went very smoothly. Would definitely recommend him and his wife though we only met him at this time. The nurse that gave our baby his shots was also very sweet and personable, wish we got her name.

I have two daughters 17 years apart and I had to go back to Dr's Blumenthal. It's so cute that there a couple that have there own practice and on top of that you can feel the Love and Passion they possess for their Profession. They take time with each child and don't forget the details in between I give the duo 10 stars and highly suggest Dr Richard and Melonie Blumenthal

Great Doctors. They take their time answering any questions or concerns. My kids feel comfortable with them.

We love both Dr. Bloomenthal's so good with both my kids (2 and a 13 year old). We've been coming here since my son (the 13 year old) was 6. Friendly Dr. but other staff could be a little more friendly.

I cannot say enough good things about this office. Dr. Rick and Dr. Melanie Blumenthal are amazing doctors that really care about my child and her needs. They go out of their way to make sure my child is meeting her milestones/growing properly and always make us feel encouraged and supported as parents. I just called the office at 8PM because my daughter has a little rash and left a voicemail on the urgent line and Dr. Rick called me back within minutes and made recommendations so my daughter can get some relief tonight. They are always friendly, helpful, and make us well welcome during office visits! I would 100% recommend them to all my family and friends!

My girls have been coming here for over 10 years. Both Dr Rick and Melanie are so wonderful to my girls. Honestly, I did have some issues with the billing staff and receiving bills, but Dr Rick got involved and it got figured out and resolved. It wasn't enough to stop coming to this amazing office. Love this office.

First appt with Richard Blumenthal for my 1 yo with tummy trouble. He was kind, patient, attentive, thorough, and reasonable. Explained the logic behind his recommendation, which is very helpful to me. Asked if we had any more questions and actually paused long enough for us to think. What a relief! We will be back.

This wonderful husband and wife team have been my grandsons doctors for years. They're very loving and I think they're the best in the business!

By far the worst pediatric I've ever been to. Richard genuinely shows ZERO interest in your child, much less wanting to help you with the issue you may be facing. The office is disgusting and dirty, and he himself appears to be sloppy and puts minimal effort into his own well-being. Trust me, for the sake of your child, stay away.

They must have new staff at the front office. Started calling at 9:00am and kept getting a recorded message, finally connected to a live person by 9:16am. Was told by Aman that they have no available appointments for today. Never once did they ask for the patients name or condition. I asked for possible Urgent Care locations I could take the child and the response was, call your insurance provider. Been with this office for the past 15 years and have great respect and admiration for the Doctors, however, we will not be coming back.

I tried unsuccessfully to email the Doctors before posting this review but their websites Contact Us link is not operational. Drs. Rick and Melanie are wonderful but their customer service personnel can be improved.

Both her and rick are awesome my daughter went there and now her kids see them.

Words could not fully describe just how much I love this office! Dr. Melanie and Richard Blumenthal are amazing. They provide tender love and care while making my children comfortable and at ease. They make every child feel like they are the most special being in the world. They explain everything thoroughly and make themselves available for any questions or concerns, even after hours. I love love love these doctors and highly recommend them!

I love these professionals. The whole team is helpful and sweet. They are patient with my daughter, answer all of her questions as well as mine because SHE is their patient! They make up for the mildly long wait time with full attentiveness and thorough research of any concerns you express. I have been coming here for 9 years now and everyone is very helpful.

I will say that the waiting room and rooms are almost like time capsules that never change but they are tidy and not dirty, simply a bit outdated. I have gotten same day sick appointments before. My call is always answered during their business hours. Despite the demands of a fast paced, impatient world I think they hold up and stay true to their values.

I never see the waiting room packed like some places just trying to optimize profits and shuffle cattle through. They are genuine and that is worth an extra ten minute wait after taking vitals and stats!

We just switched from Dr. Blumenthal office. that place is FILTHY and they are both WEIRD! He won't look at you when speaking to you. she's nice enough but so odd, and the nurse can't keep vaccines straight. they gave my 19mo the varicella vaccine twice and the MMR when I had said I wanted to wait until she was 3 for that one. I would try somewhere else.

The last straw for me was when the man brought me to tears at my my daughter's last well visit basically implying that she is malnourished (she's around 20th percentile for both height and weight, she's just petite AND she had been sick since Christmas which he should have known since we had just been in 2 weeks prior due to illness) after pushing formula on us all throughout our time there. also, there will be no reminder call from the office.

Love both Mr And Mrs Blumenthal! They're both extremely friendly and always very attentive to my questions and concerns! Wish I had found them sooner. Front office is friendly and we're usually out of there within the hour!

We've taken our daughter to see both Blumenthal Doctors (Richard & Melanie). Although we prefer the Mrs for getting along well with my daughter, both are very professional & take the time to listen to our questions & concerns. Since my daughter is petite, both doctors have kept an eye on her development & suggested accordingly. We also have not had any issues with the staff.

My child has been seeing Mr. & Mrs. Blumenthal for a few years now. There are pros and cons to all things. CON: parking lot is small. Sometimes you will have to find street or neighborhood parking. CON: MA will call u up soon to do vitals but usually there is a long wait time when u are assigned a room PRO: both doctors are great! They both have their own individual and unique way of communicating w/patients. Mr. Is patient, friendly, observant, and takes time to listen to concerns and address pt needs. Does not rush visit. Mrs. Is very friendly, upbeat, and easily relates to young children being sympathetic, concerned and understanding.

She is def. Unique in a good way. I didn't mention staff being that honestly I was never too concerned w/them. They havent noticeably provided exceptional service but also they have not provided horrible service or anything of negative way to stand out, make me notice and complain. Some people are just nit pickers i guess. Overall our experience is positive and we dont intend ok changing or switching our doctors. Content & satisfied!

I have to update the review, because I know how damaging Yelp reviews can be on businesses, so. fair is fair. I stayed a little longer at this office because I was having a difficult time finding a pediatrician taking in new patients that was close to home, and I am cautiously optimistic about Dr. Blumenthal's office. Let me first say that I never had an issue with the doctor(s), Mister is not the "baby talk" pediatrician, if that's what you're looking for, but he is straight-forward and concise, which I appreciate. Mrs. is more of the "baby talk" pediatrician, which is also okay with me, because she is still thorough and shows a great deal of care!

My issue was with the staff at the front desk, and in the past few months they seem to have improved! They are WAY nicer now and they seem to be making a true effort to improve in their patient services/kindness and ettiquette areas. I appreciate that they have taken the criticism from Yelp (and perhaps other sites) and that they have made it a point to address the issues. Thank you Dr. Blumenthal!
