Allergy & Asthma Associates

They have been the only one in 25 years of suffering to ever get my my asthma under control and they kept me out of the emergency room for two years. They have given my life back.

I want to schedule an appointment to get tested for more allergies but they want me to talk to make an appointment the doctor first. I already go there every week for shots, feels like they are just trying to get every dime out of me. Make an appointment to make an appointment, so dumb. Once my round of shots are done, I will find a different allergy dr.

This place was horrible! I wish I would have read the reviews first. I saw 2 different Dr's because the first dr was so far behind during our results visit that he couldn't see us for the 2 mins it took to tell us it was all negative. They expected me to reschedule when I lived 25 mins away. Neither Dr seemed to even care about why we were there or our concerns and neither talked loud enough for me to hear them and ones accent was so thick I barley even understood him.

Then he even suggested I try to give my 7 year old caffeine for her migraines, seriously?! During the testing I had to get the nurse because i noticed there was a few numbers that she missed. The staff wasn't very friendly and I feel like this was a terrible experience and I did not like the office at all. I will not go back.

Clearly things have changed in the last few months at A&AA. I went there for the first time about 10 days ago and met with Dr. Bellak. I was extremely impressed with how he listened to and treated me. I went back today for tests and got the same professional, yet thoughtful and friendly care; not only from Dr. Bellak, but from his entire Staff. I was so impressed from the way I have been treated; from my first call to this last visit today, that I told Dr. Bellak he has a great Staff.

And I meant it. Dr. Bellak had mentioned to me that he has not been there very long. So I suspect he is there to shake things up, based on the previous comments, which I was not aware of at the time. Regardless, I think you owe it to yourself to give A&AA a try. Not only due to the new attitude, but also because it is easy to get to, has plenty of parking, and most importantly, I sincerely believe that they all now know that Your Wellbeing is why They are there; and that they are all working very hard at winning your trust, and admittedly, your business back. I wish I would read first the reviews here. It is all true - I paid 270$ just for the information that I have to make allergy testing for 1-2 thousands. That visit gave me absolutely nothing, just stole my money. When I asked doctor a few questions, he just told me something like "hard to say, you have to do testing". No friendly atmosphere, no useful info.

Just do google search and you will get better information for free. I only lost my time and a lot of money! I have been visiting allergy clinics before (in different country) and for free I always took so much useful information. This here is only a bad business. AVOID.

Honestly if I could give this place 0 stars I would. There staff is horrible and are terrible business people! They were very disrespectful to me when I was trying to work with them with my insurance giving me attitude and interrupted me when I was talking with them through the phone. They don't go through insurance first like a normal doctor should because "there office rules say that you have to pay $250 first and then they'll go through insurance and bill you the rest" all there trying to do is get money out of you. Week later they sent me a letter saying that I'm terminated from going to there office what kinda non sense is that!

When I started going here the doctor tested me for what I am allergic to and he told me almost everything and that if I took shot once a month for 5 year my allergy would get better. I did that and saw him every 6 months. I keep telling him the shots are not working and he would tell me they are. This went on for a year. After over 5.5 years of shots they never worked. I asked him for a retest to see what I was allergic to after his treatment and he said he never does that test to see if his treatment works. Stay away!

Dr. Lockshin is amazing. He was very honest with me and actually spoke with me about several symptoms that aren't even allergy related. I absolutely love that guy. Turns out I'm not allergic to cats, but basically, everything that grows in Nv. Since I have been getting allergy shots, less than a year now, I have been feeling better and better. I have stopped taking claritin and benadryl. I take chlortabs in the heavy allergy seasons. And that's way better than before!

Wish I could give this place zero stars. They told me I had to be to my appt 30 minutes ahead of time, I ended up waiting 45 minutes to be seen, 30 minutes for nothing and then another 15 to be seen. Secondly, I was sent to the Carson City office of Allergy & Asthma Associates and was told they accepted my insurance however they don't and neglected to tell me this until after my appointment wanting me to pay them more money for a worthless visit. The staff is awful, communication and office policies are at there lowest.

I had such bad allergies. Basically I felt like I had a cold 10 months out of the year. I had a regimen of Neti pot (lavage) everyday, two to three allergy meds and I STILL had allergy symptoms. It wasn't until Dr. Boris Lokshin that I was able to finally get some relief. I went through the allergy testing and found out that I was allergic to nearly everything in Reno.

I began my allergy shots and I can tell you it was single handily the best thing I have ever done for my health. I no longer suffer all year long, I can actually be outside and not sneezing and can actually get through a day without going through a box of tissues. I am no longer miserable here! Yes, I still need to use the neti pot and I'm still on one allergy medicine, but between all of these, I can be outside and happy.

It has made my whole life so much better! On top of that, Dr. Locshin and his staff are amazing, friendly, and I like going in there for my shots once to twice a month (I'm on the maintenance shots now). If you have allergies, please do yourself a favor and start the process. You will be so much happier for it!
