Since opening his private practice in 1993, Dr. Mark Bailey has devoted countless hours and unparalleled effort into providing comprehensive and compassionate care for his patients. Dr. Bailey's resolve for integrity sets him and North Dallas Surgical Specialists apart from other surgical groups. Dr. Johnston was born and raised in South Texas and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University. After graduating from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School he completed his surgical training at the University of Colorado.
Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. If you have an urgent issue after our regular business hours, you may call our main office at (972) 487-6400 and our answering service will page the physician on call. Non-urgent messages will be handled by our staff the following business day.

The best experience with surgery I have ever had. Dr. Birdwell was great. He explained the exact procedure and made me understand. He has great bed side manner. He really cared about me and my well-being. Asked numerous times if I need anything or if I had any concerns. This was my second surgery with him. His office staff and nurses are great. Dr. Johnston was a great surgeon. He thoroughly explained the procedure at the consultation and pre-op. He gave me extra items to take to another specialist for an unrelated procedure and explained those items to me. If I ever need a general surgeon again, he will definitely be it. Also his scheduler Amy is one of the kindest people I've ever met!

I had my procedure done with Dr. Johnston and his team last week and I couldn't say enough about their kindness, professionalism and expertise. I was really scared and upset at the beginning but after I met Dr. Johnston and he answered my questions in detail, I felt pretty confident. The recovery is being smooth, none pain medication needed during the first days after the surgery : I'm getting back to my normal life, scars are so tiny that I am confident they will disappear soon. Very happy with the results!

Wow! All I can say it amazing amazing amazing! Dr. Birdwell is the sweetest and most caring doctor i have ever met. I had to have surgery and he was so kind and made me feel so comfortable! Dr. Wang was excellent in the way he cared for my medical condition and took extra care to insure I understood all the issues involved in my surgeries. Subsequent office visits his staff was very courteous and friendly. Dr. Wang spent a considerable amount of time explaining how I needed to care for my condition after I left the hospital. I would definitely recommend Dr. Wang to anyone needing his medical services. I feel lucky I was blessed to be able to have Dr. Wang perform my surgeries.
