Dr. Antoine Fahd has been a leader in the refractive surgery industry for over 10 years. His journey into the field of medicine is somewhat unique in that he is the only refractive surgeon in California to hold an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering (graduating Summa Cum Laude) and a doctorate with an emphasis in lasers and medicine.

Worst experience I've ever had with a medical group. I went in with an eye infection. The optometrist looked at my eye - which was as red as could be and very painful. He said to just stay on the medication I was given by an eye doctor in Hawaii (got the infection while on vacation) and that I essentially had a cold in my eye. I was scheduled for follow up but tested positive for covid the day before the appointment which I told them.

They said I couldn't come in which is understandable so I asked just to do a video conference or phone call. I had to be the squeaky wheel and speak with a supervisor to get the optometrist on the phone for consultation/follow up (which they are apparently not set up for). Again, he said to just keep on the medication and wait it out. That was absolutely the wrong thing to do per urgent care doctor who I went to days later when it wasn't clearing up.

Bad bacterial infection which they gave me antibiotics for. Eye still recovering but wouldn't ever recommend or go to Clarity Eye Group again based upon this experience. Clearly get a second and third opinion when it comes to your health. Clarity Eye Group had no clue how to handle.

I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner; I have always wanted Lasik but was to afraid to go through with it, but my eyes had started rejecting my contacts, so it was time. When I came in for my initial consultation, I was very nervous, but Danny was excellent. He walked me through everything and was able to answer all my questions and concerns.

He made me feel extremely comfortable about my decision. On the day of my surgery, Danny and DR Fahd went over everything again before to make sure I was ready. I was in and out of the chair in 5 minutes, so painless and so quick. The whole team was great, and I am so thankful I chose this office to change my life for the better.

Ever since it changed from Clarity it has been very disappointing! They have more staff than before yet the wait time is horrible. Don't know any of the new staff up front but not exactly friendly or knowledgeable. Glad a few of my original doctors are still there but cancelling appointments should not happen only in an emergency. Loved it before but I don't like the rudeness and you give what you get. Sorry it changed but not for the best!

STORY TIME, buckle your seat belts. I had an appointment last year in '21 and the service in the beginning was terrible. They were so overbooked that everyone was waiting beyond an hour for their appointment time. I even witnessed one gentleman straight up LEAVE because they had made him wait over 2 hours! I had made my appointment in advance, was one of the unfortunate patients that waited past an hour for the appointment time, and still stayed because I desperately needed a new prescription (my glasses broke, I needed more contact lenses, I was pretty much due for an appointment anyway).

The doctors were great and straightforward. But as I was leaving, the girl at the desk asked if I wanted to schedule the next appointment and I said "no, ma'am". No way was I ever coming back here! They charged my card for the appointment and I left. That should have been the end of it. But it gets worse. FAST FORWARD TO THIS YEAR. I get a text that I have an appointment! Weird, since I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR ONE.

I keep a very tight fist on my schedule because I work at a very time-consuming job, so I know for a FACT that I did not make an appointment with them. I called their office immediately and canceled it. They asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said "NO". AND THEN a week later, I get a bill in the mail. for LAST YEAR'S APPOINTMENT! I was shocked and annoyed. Looking into my bank account.

They charged my card THREE TIMES and then REDEPOSITED two of the payments out of those three WITHOUT informing me! What's worse is that the bill DOES NOT MATCH what they KEPT of my money! I tried calling them to get answers - like why they're sending me a bill that is OVER a YEAR old and why the payment charged to my bank account doesn't match what their bill says - but no one answered!

I called THREE TIMES. Still, no answer. I even had my dad call to see if I was calling the right place and again- No. Answer. Just a machine that says to leave a message and that they'll "call back later". I left my info and after a whole month, ZERO calls back. AND THEN they send me a SECOND BILL! For the SAME DATES, this time charging me EVEN MORE MONEY!?

Do NOT go to this place. They very clearly don't keep track of the billing, they suck at communicating, they sign you up for appointments that don't exist. Pardon my language, but what a f*cking MESS.

I had my free consultation, one and half hours. EVERYTHING was explained in great detail. They DID not try to get me to " Upgrade" by telling me I had cataracts. which would have doubled the price ( we are vulnerable as clients because we are trained to TRUST doctors) instead I was informed to wait until I turned 65 and Medicare would cover the entire surgical procedure!

I made a appointment for Monday May 23rd at 8:15. When I got home Dr. Van had already called and left me a voicemail, I called her back, she immediately answered ( unheard of around here) and asked me if I was comfortable having the surgery, if the staff met my expectations, she gave me a few pointers and looked forward to seeing me. I won't mention the cost, but I will say this. 4 years ago I surprised my husband by taking him for LASIK surgery, with a 1500.00$ coupon it was going to be over 8 thousand dollars.

We walked out and went to a drugstore and bought him a 7.00$ pair of readers. Also you have a 100% warranty for life if you need any " fine tuning " free. ABSOLUTELY wonderful people! I can't wait for Monday! I will repost after my surgery, but @ this point I hit the lottery with these Doctors!

Took my mom to see Dr Novick and was very impressed with how great the office looks from last year. The nurse who took us in was very friendly his name is Danny he explained everything in detail and was patient with my multiple questions. It's clearly under new management Every one was friendly and helpful. I heard the new manager giving her staff kudos and motivating them which is great to hear I believe her name was Veronica or Vanessa hey if your hiring I want to work for you girl you are amazing! Great job the office looks great.

Was really pleased with this place. I didnt wait more than 10 min past my appointment time to get in and see the Dr. and all the staff was super nice and attentive. In the end the Dr. was super honest with me and recommended I not get lasik again. I would def. go back if needed and would recommend to others.

This office was probably the most unorganized business. Even the doctor was shocked at the lack of communication from front desk staff. I showed up 15 min early and the door was locked. Once the door opened at my appointment time I waited for 25 more minutes while others were getting called before me. I finally let them know my situation and that I was somewhat of a rush and the staff were basically nonverbal after that. The doctor finally told me I couldn't be helped at this location and then sent me to another location.

My mother and I had an awful experience at another office, so switched over to Clarity & Dr. Fahd. This is going to be a complete review from initial consultation to post op appointment. Initial consultation: We were greeted with good mornings by THREE front of house staff.off to a good start! Sign said surgical masks.i only had a cloth one and they didnt scold me for it!

They offered me a surgical one without judgment! Danny, technician, took my mother in at 8:30 for initial eye tests.when her apt is scheduled at 8:40.that was great! Shows the office if efficient and work in a timely manner). I could overhear staff and docs talking to other patients.and could hear the sincerity and comforting tone in their voices. Additionally, we came to find out that the test Danny took also comprised of the cataract surgery eye measurements so we wouldn't need to come back for that should we move forward with surgery (which we are)!

We were then seen by Dr. Greiner, Optomotrist, who took some more tests. Again, pleasant, respectful and informative! We had to wait to be seen by Dr. Fahd, but given the pleasant interactions with Danny & Dr. Greiner, it didn't bother us. Danny even stopped by to check in on us.great customer service/patient care! Dr. Fahd came in, ran a couple more tests!

He and his technician/assistant were pleasant also! He gave us a clear explanation of how the surgery works! He then escorted us to Nancy who discussed the pre and day of op info, as well as explained the cost to us. Pre-op appointments: Apts were made 1 week prior to each eye surgery, to confirm what lens we wanted and pay for the surgeries. They don't even require payment for both eyes at once!

Day of operation (both eyes, 1 week apart): Went smoothly, again, great patient care from Newport Bay Surgery Center Post op appointments (for both surgeries): We were seen by Jessie and Danny, both amazing techs! Friendly and informative! If you want great care when it comes to your eye doctor office, this is the place to come to!

This is actually to reiterate the same frustrations that others are having with the office being inaccessible. The doctors are good and I have no problem with them. But I have been calling for a week now to modify my appt and leaving messages with nothing coming back. Just reminder text messages to modify or confirm appt which DOESNT LET YOU MODIFY your appt.

I even tried to get through to the office by pressing zero for the operator and it sent me to voicemail after being on hold for 1 minute. Mismanaged front office is the reason I'm finding another ophthalmologist. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I had cataract surgery in both eyes, 3 1/2 months apart. Both went well, the staff was very considerate and Dr. Fauhd couldn't have been kinder, accomodating and more knowledgeable. Going back for followup in 6 months and expect it will be as easy as this has been.

Dreadful, in that you cannot not reach anyone either by phone or online to set up an appointment, at least in the Huntington Beach location. I have been trying to reach this group for two days to set up an emergency appointment and nothing! This is NOT the group to reach out to if you have an emergency regardless of a doctors referral!

What a pleasant experience as a new patient. The staff was thorough, but kind while taking multiple measurements and tests of my eyes. I saw Dr. Novick to talk about my cataract, and he was very open with me about my options and possible time frames to have cataract surgery. He made me feel like I was being taken care of, but not talked down to. I have my cataract surgery scheduled for 2 weeks from my first appointment - a record for scheduling - in my experience.

Dr. Faud is amazing at what he does. And the staff are all so sweet. I felt very comfortable through my whole experience getting my cataract surgery. The easiest thing ever. And the best! I can see again!

I had an appointment yesterday 11/23/2021for LASIK eye's surgery consultation. The staffs were so nice. Dr Van spent almost an hour to exam my eyes. She explained how the LASIK eye surgery works, and the benefits of having the LASIK. She showed the level of care beyond my expectations. Stacey was excellent, she was so nice. I would recommend Clarity Eye Group to families and friends. And the consultation was 100% free of charge. Excellent service.

I can see so well, I am thrilled! The entire group at the Eye Center, is top notch. Professional, friendly and easy to work with. There were a number of exams and test to assure the right correction was going to be made. My Dr. was thorough, assuring and kind. The only negative, was the high co-pay over what my insurance paid, or it would be a 5 star experience!

I'm so glad l didn't listen to the bad reviews. Looks like most of them were regarding wait times. My first appointment I left because the wait was too long. The very nice desk girl told me to make my appointments in the early morning because the wait's not as long. She was right. Dr. Greiner was the first Dr. I saw just for my check up.

He was very efficient with everything, checking for glaucoma and cataracts. I already knew I had cataracts, he just confirmed I did need surgery. I was next seen by Dr. Faud to set up my surgery. What a fantastic Dr! He fixed my first eye. Super easy surgery. No pain, no wait. He and his staff are amazing. The office people are the sweetest. Nancy was great with setting everything up for surgery day. You won't be disappointed if you have cataract surgery with him. Do it! I can see! Love Love Love the staff

I needed to get an eye exam and decided to have a consultation to see if I would be a good candidate for Lasik at the same time. Turns out I am and we were able to get my appointment scheduled. Huge thanks to Danny! He made the entire process a breeze. All the staff members here were kind as well from start to finish.

Never could make an appointment with this "three-star" eye group. I tried four different days/times and each time held on the line for 15 to 20 minutes until I got somebody. Then, after someone came on the line, I was put on hold to "check their schedule". After another 5 to 10 minute hold I was disconnected. I went to another "five star" ophthalmologist and got an appointment right away. Something is really screwed up in their reservation system.

Dr Freeman is the best! Really great bedside manner! Found that I had a scratch inside my eye Really went the extra mile to find it! He also treats my mom who is 80 and she loves him to! Highly recommend!

I have not done my eye surgery yet or scheduled it but so far with my first appointment I really liked the doctor and how he sat and talk to me and explain the procedure and asked me exactly what I was looking for. Staff was great they are all professional and a very clean place. What I also loved about them is that they give you context to try out and I did not have to pay But that may vary from person to person.

If I could give minus stars This place deserves them. First clue should have been the over 30 minute wait to get appointment one month out. Two days before appointment was told they had to reschedule. I told person we had waited a month for this appointment. She assured me it would not happen again. Mom confirmed appointment today. Showed up with parents for appointment to be told doctor is out all week.

I want to start this review with the utmost gratitude for the excellent care I have received from Dr. Fahd and the surgery coordinator, Nancy Khieu! I am very happy with my decision to have my cataract surgery at Clarity Eye Group. Dr. Fahd is proficient in outlining the different options a patient has in treatment. I chose to go with the premium lens option.

I don't regret this decision because my eyesight and quality of life is my priority. Some patients go with the medium grade lens but probably will wear glasses after surgery. I did not want to wear glasses so the premium lens can accomplish this goal. Their patience with answering my detailed questions about the surgery and what to expect afterwards is appreciated. Nancy went the extra mile with coordinating my surgery dates and making sure I was satisfied with my choices of care.

She is very professional and patient oriented. I can't thank her enough for providing me with excellent service! I highly recommend Dr. Fahd at Clarity Eye Group and the surgery coordinator, Nancy Khieu for your future cataract surgery. You won't regret it!

This place has no concern for the people waiting way past appointment time. Even had a guy get pissed because they took someone that came after him go first. When I made a comment about the wait time guy helping me said you should feel lucky as most specialist take way longer. Not really what I wanted to hear. Still kept this appointment as they took me right away after situation.

Very disappointed because noone cares in this office. You're just another patient. Dr Fahd started out great but now he seems so rushed and wants it over asap! I guess its find another doctor time.so disappointed. Came back for update: Found a new eye Dr. that doesn't take 30 minutes to call you in. Much nicer and listens to you! If anyone else is fed up with Clarity try Dr. Younger in Fountain Valley!

You ever been to an establishment that you felt that you were not treated fairly for some or no good reason? This is what I have experienced more than 3x from Clarity Eye Group. And before I get started let me say, it is not the clinical staff or doctors that I am speaking about but the front desk/business personnel. I was referred to this eye group through my insurance provider Greater Newport Physicians.

But because of some mix up in CEG's system they kept saying that I was not insured through the very insurance provider that referred me to them. Today, after a few other skirmishes, was the last straw. After I had to drive back to my home and bring them in the authorization sheet I recieved less than a month ago, the office/business staff (an hour after my appointment) came to me and told me that my insurance provider's information was inaccurate and that my insurance was no longer active.

Mind you, I called my provider (Anthem Blue Cross) after my first check-in to have them to verify my insurance. I was told by them that this was a pattern with CEG to deny or dismiss GNP members. Also let me say that in between these skirmishes were fulfilled appointments where I had to bring in no authorization sheet and was seen by a lovely opthamologist (Lee Novick).

It is very frustrating to have people not follow or accept members when they bring in PROOF of their reason for coming there! My authorization was good to 7/19/21. Tell me why did she have to check it after it proved that I was a member of the insurance group that I said I was a member of, I brought in the proof that it was the managed care group I said it was and the one they accepted, and it was as recent than a month ago.

There was none. I heard another customer ahead of me come in using the same group I was under and they gave that person no problems. So am I wrong for feeling rejected because of biases or do I have a legitimate gripe? You tell me.

I've been waiting 90 minutes and still haven't seen the doctor. It's a chop shop. They are trying to squeeze a large number of volume patients. I should have read the reviews. Would never go back. Also no apology for the wait. It's standard.

TERRIBLE office where they make you wait for a long time for your appointments and are very unfriendly. Obviously they don't really care about their patients. The only reason I continued to go there was because of Dr. Kurteeva. Last November after seeing her I made a yearly appointment for today (November11, 2020). When I got to the office today the receptionist said my doctor was no longer there.

I was surprised and asked why they did not call and let me know. The receptionist said they did try to call but that was a lie as I never had a call, message or email from them. I would never recommend an office that is so uncaring.
