This treatment is highly successful for patients complaining of disk herniation and sciatic-like pain in the legs. Non-surgical spinal decompression therapy is a highly successful, non-surgical alternative procedure for relieving low back, neck, and arm and leg pain. Decompression Therapy is a non-surgical procedure that effectively treats disabling low back, neck, and radiating leg and arm pain.
In a rapidly developing technological workplace, our bodies simply cannot maintain the pace of high demand machines or repetitive motion. This daily effect of very fast, forceful and seemingly harmless movements of the shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands, from operating computers, to meat cutting, to assembling automobiles, to package handlers, adversely affects workers and industry worldwide.
The term subluxation means minor misalignment however the affects on the human body as a result of a subluxation on the upper cervical spine can be far from minor. In the simplest of terms, a subluxation is when one or more vertebrae (bones in your spine) move out of line and create pressure on spinal nerves.
Proper spinal alignment is essential for healthy and pain-free living. When there is a trauma to a joint, one of the ways your body responds is the stabilization of the area by formation of new bone. With time, calcium deposits build up, eventually as abnormal bony growth. This arthritic 'splinting' of bones is nature's attempt to stabilize the injured joint.

I was in Tennessee for my step daughter's wedding. I been having left hip and groin pain prior to leaving Ohio, for the seven hour trip to Tennessee. After the long drive I was in terrible pain, couldn't sit, walk very well or stand comfortably. My husband found Dr. Hood name will searching for chiropractors. I got in the same day. Dr. Hood did an X-ray, and treated me accordingly.
After the first treatment I was more comfortable, went back the next day, and was just about pain free. Dr. Hood gave me a plan to follow until I get back to Ohio. Thank you Dr. Hood for your great practice. And front office people are polite and very friendly. Thanks again.

Dr. Hood is one of the best chiropractors I have ever seen. He is honest, thorough, and good at his job. I was visiting Pigeon Forge with my family when I had some major back pain. He spent close to an hour with me, first stimulating my muscles using a few different techniques, then he stretched me very well and finally adjusted me. Instead of rushing or focusing only on my pain areas, Dr. Hood checked areas that other Chiropractors ignore (such as legs and hips).
He does not accept insurance for out of state patients. If you are comfortable with that or it doesn't apply to you, I would strongly recommend you visit him if you need chiropractic help. I just wish my local chiropractor back home was as good.

I'm a disabled OIF Veteran and have suffered back and hip pain for 15 years. The VA has denied me having any back issues at all for about the same time. This morning I could no longer take the hip pain and went to Dr Hoods office. Ive seen several chiropractors over the years but none got the results Dr. Hood did in just one visit. The adjustment to my upper, middle and lower back literally brought tears.
I couldn't have stopped them of I wanted to. The instant relief was 15 years of pain leaving. I haven't cried since my combat days but I did today out of joy and sheer relief. THANK YOU DR. HOOD! Miss Beverly at the desk is awesome as well. Kind and very helpful.

I was in town from Ohio and my back went out! Dr Hoods office got me right in and his staff was so helpful and nice! After meeting Dr Hood I knew I was in the right place. I went to him twice before leaving town and only wish he was my chiropractor all the time. He truly cares about his patients even if you don't live here. I would recommend anyone having any chiropractic needs call his office! Awesome Doctor and staff!

I could barely put my leg down flat when I hobbled into Dr. Hood's office. I had been suffering for months and finally got to the point I could hardly walk or stand up straight. I was a chiropractic assistant years ago and know that the right chiropractor could help. I was able to put my foot down and walked a little straighter after my first visit.
He also offers other various therapies that I know can help. I'm so glad I listened to a friend and finally went for help. Not only did Dr. Hood go to the best Chiropractic college he's from Iowa. Hard to beat a kind, caring, and smart man from Iowa! Do yourselves a favor and go see Dr. Hood, you'll be glad you did. Go Hawkeyes!

The morning after a camping trip I woke up with a completely numb arm and a limp wrist and hand. Although it was alarming I figured I would give it an hour or so and it would be back to normal. Two days passed and I still had no feeling or movement. At that point I had to go to the emergency room to get it checked out. The E.R. doctor came in and gave a quick diagnosis and spiel stating that I had Radial nerve palsy and there was nothing to do but wait and see, and that my best bet was hoping for the best and wearing a brace for 12 weeks.
After sharing this news with a friend she directed me to Dr. John Hood, first I was skeptical and trying to reason why I would go see a chiropractor over a nerve problem in my wrist, but I went anyway. Upon my first visit he had never seen Saturday night palsy before. My second visit he had done even more research on it than I had, consulted colleagues local and out of state, and had also set up a treatment plan.
Due to Dr. Hood's treatments (Dry needling, Cupping, muscle stimulation, ect.) I have made nearly a full recovery in a month less than the E.R. doctor had originally told me. All of this being in a very professional yet personable and nonintimidating environment. I can not say enough good things about Dr. John Hood and his practice.

My back hurt for two weeks before I decided I needed to go and get it looked at. I went in for my first appointment and received immediate relief. My back doesn't hurt near as bad as it did over the last two weeks. A couple more appointments and I will be rid of this back pain. I am so grateful for Dr. John Hood and the services that were provided to me. Highly recommend!

I have never been to a chiropractor before and I was a little hesitant especially since my insurance won't cover any of the expense, but I went anyway, and I am so glad I did. I have worked in the service industry for 10 years, and spent most of my younger life playing multiple sports and at 25 years old, I feel like I am 85 most days. I have been experiencing a lot of lower back pain and pain/discomfort in my right hip.
I was referred to Dr. Hood by multiple friends in the industry and I will never go anywhere else. On my first visit he took Xrays and went over those with me to desribe why I was feeling the discomfort I had. He also put me on the roller table, put me on the Stim machine and personally stetched me out. First of all, I had no idea one of my legs could be longer than the other, turns out that was part of my discomfort in my hip, he fixed that.
I also had no clue my back/neck could pop in so many places. When I got up of the table after being stretched/adjusted, I felt like a new person, I literally danced a little becasue I felt so good. Even though this was my first visit, I feel this type of care is welll worth the money and the effort and I am excited to see more positive progress after my follow-up visits. Dr. Hood seems very knowledgable in his field and in health and wellness in general, I am happy to learn more from him. He is also very friendly and makes you feel very comfortable throughout your visit, I would highly reccomend his office!

After dealing with low back pain for over a year, I decided to go to Dr. Hood to receive treatment and hopefully get rid of the pain. After 1 visit, my pain definitely improved and after my 2nd visit I could tell a huge difference. Dr. Hood takes the time to listen to what is bothering you and explains everything to where you understand what is going on and what you need to do to better the situation. I highly recommend him!
