Staff were nice and accommodating for most visits. While I feel my procedure wasn't successful, I understand sinus surgery isn't 100% successful. Be aware of all your charges. They did no disclosure of billing other than to have you sign your paperwork to say you are responsible for all charges. I am very familiar with hospital based billing in surgery, my daughter actually had the same thing, including a septoplasty and anesthesia in a hospital and was significantly less money.
My portion of my bill was over $13,000 and they were not satisfied with my monthly payments. I had argued about the billing, knowing I am educated about cpt codes etc. They sent me to collections without a notice, phone call, or message in my advent portal. Very disappointing and unprofessional. Will never return.

Today was my first appointment and it was great. I saw Dr. Grace Rothstein and she was very knowledgeable, professional, and caring. She listened to what I had to say and addressed my concerns. Dr. Rothstein suggested an appropriate care plan based on my concerns and her diagnosis. The front desk staff was very polite, friendly and patient with me, after it took me forever to find my insurance card. I would highly recommend ADVENT and Dr. Grace Rothstein as a provider.

The paperwork before the appointment with the extensive language about paying if your insurance does not was a tip off. Had to sign a special form about exploring your nose with a scope. Then was seen by a guy who has been only doing this for one year. Bill came and sure enough for a 30 minute visit of talking and a 3 minute scope review of your nose - $1000 bill. $700 for the 3 minute scope.
After insurance rightfully knocking down these obscene elevated costs, I am 'lucky' to only be paying $300 for a BS visit. Will not be going back. These other reviews helped me avoid the next step with the CT scan and costs only going up. Previous visits to ENT doctors were able to look at my condition and have treatment w/o an expensive CT scan. Whole thing is a sham with extensive marketing on the radio.

Advent is the epitome what's wrong with the disaster of the Medical care system we have in the US. These greedy doctors decide to open a private practice in order to price gouge their patients and make as much of a profit as possible while hurding patients through like cattle. Their prices are outrageous and you will be very shocked and broke after you receive your bills and how little insurance actually covers. They should actually be ashamed of themselves. I would recommend just sticking to Froedtert Medical center and getting raped a little less than @ Advent.

SCAM alert! Do NOT go to this place. They treat you like a number and get you back as often as they can and charge outrageous price for nothing. I went for a snoring problem. I've been to other real specialists, have tried numerous products, had 3 sleep studies which all were negative for sleep apnea. I go to Appleton location as a last resort to see what they have to say.
After numerous visits, an at-home sleep study that showed sleep apnea, CT scan, blah, blah, they suggested 3 procedures even without seeing a doctor. The insurance only covered one, they said the other 2 were not necessary. That should've been a clue. Had the turbinate reduction and it did not go well. I was worse off, had to keep going back for follow ups and another procedure to cut out scar tissue?!
And of course each visit was over $1800 and never saw the doctor again. Four months later and no improvement. Snoring is still awful. I don't feel any change in nasal airflow, but I am NOT going back for more "procedures". I'm getting a second opinion from a professional and we'll go from there. Would NEVER recommend this scam business. Each office visit was rushed, very impersonal, just not a good feeling.

Advent is a scam. They charged me $228 for an initial exam with a technician & then was trying to push me to set up a date/time for a procedure without even meeting with a doctor. I then had to schedule a second appointment to get a CT scan & meet with a doctor who then told me that percentage of the procedure being successful is small. I then get placed into another room were a woman wants to know when I plan on scheduling the procedure. Did the doctor not put notes in my file for people to see? Stay away from this company. They advertise false hopes. Northbrook, IL

I was happy with the procedure I had. Unfortunately my first follow up visit cost $1828.50. I called about it but was told that is what the follow up procedure was coded and that is what the charge is. This was an in network location for me. How can a follow up visit after a procedure cost so much!? I am furious! I would make sure you get all the costs upfront before you visit Advent.

Went to breathe better. They statuses my turbinates were too large and reduced them in size. After the 1st follow up I developed a strep infection. I had not been in contact with anyone but them. After the strep infection I developed an ear infection. Informed them of such and they just asked am I taking antibiotics repeatedly. Informed them after 12 week follow up that I still wasn't breathing like I should and something felt blocked.
I was told that they needed to perform another Head CT to find out what was blocking. I went to an ENT doctor with Aurora and they stated that there was nothing wrong with my breathing and allergies were to blame and that Advent suckers ppl into those things all the time. My insurance company paid about 30k for all their services over 12 weeks. I wouldn't recommend them.

My husband was the first among us to visit Advent and had a sinus procedure so he could breathe more easily. His snoring was atrocious and sometimes he would shake the bed. He had a procedure with Dr. Kandula and was breathing better that day. His snoring disappeared. I was so impressed, that I had to try Advent myself. I went into this with the attitude that I had had a conventional sinus surgery 8 years earlier and they would tell me there was nothing they could do. However, a scan (which they do right there and it literally takes 2 minutes and is painless - you are sitting. revealed that they could help clean out the sinus area so I could breathe better and get less sinus infections which is the reason I had the first surgery.
I have been plagued with sinus infections in the lovely Wisconsin winters all my life. I had the same procedure with Dr. Ethan Handler and it was amazing how much better my breathing became and how fewer sinus infections I now get. I am very thankful to Advent (as is my husband) for improving our quality of life.

I had a very negative experience with this Doctor's office (Vernon Hills office). They gave me improper instructions for a home sleep test that resulted in an invalid test. When I brought this to their attention (both the Vernon Hills office and the main office in Wisconsin), they did nothing. No credit on my bill, no phone, email or mail response.
I am out $200 (luckily - it could have been far worse) and have to start over with another doctor. Wish I had checked the online reviews more carefully. My impression is that they are all about putting on a fancy facade with slick commercials and upscale offices. Get as many patients in & out as possible. They do not care about you as a patient. Save yourself a lot of headaches & find a real doctor somewhere else.

I think this place is simply a scam! Their big thing is just to get you to do the x-ray of your head, which is around $600.00 out of pocket. Insurance won't pay much. Don't start down this road. If you sink the $600.00 in their scam programs, you may want to continue "chasing the dragon" so to speak AND, Having sunk the upfront money, you continue to throw more money at these "phoneys".
Notice the lack of people in the parking - folks are generally smarter than me- I don't know how they stay in business? Anyway, after you let these snake oil salesmen con you, and you plunk the $600.00 money down supposedly they will shrink you Nasal Turbinates" or some thing like that? Ads play on the radio constantly saying how they will cure you. all lies Personally, I paid for the 600.00 xray, in feb 2020, and missed my MUST return date by 1 month because of Covid.
They said I had to pay another 600.00 and/OR, succumb to another x-ray and the $600.00 fee again. I said no way. Wrote them I nice letter asking them for a refund of original, 600.00, they just blew me off!

SCAM ALERT and STAY AWAY. They will bill you for everything. Almost seems to be illegal. AND DON'T do the Balloon sinuplasty. S60,000 and some change later, I am still not breathing. Then they tell you to get a CPAP machine. They should have offered the CPAP first in the first place but they are trying to scam the shit out of you. STAY AWAY and you have been warned!

I had a nose medical procedure with Advent ENT in Oconomowoc a week ago. Today at 5:15 pm was my 1st follow up appointment for how I am healing. At 5:07 PM Advent called me to let me know they had a lock down yesterday and their front door keeps locking. I should call them to be let in if I find it locked. I let her know I was a little late as I got delayed behind a car accident.
She informed me if I was more than 5 minutes late, my appointment would have to be rescheduled. At 5:18 PM I parked in the parking lot. I went to the front door of the building and found it locked. At 5:19 PM I called their office number. Their VRU took about 45 seconds to get me in queue for a person. Just then, someone came out and let me in. I entered their actual office door about 15 SECONDS past my 5 minute deadline.
They refused to see me! 15 seconds and the locked building door issue too! I called their customer service department and was advised the policy is 10 minutes late, not 5 minutes late. I made arrangements to do my follow up care at the Oak Creek ENT office where I hope the customer service will be better. The level of customer care at the Oconomowoc WI ENT office would be a zero if this system let me enter it. I should have believed the reviews I read about this place. They were over the top nice before my procedure. Now they already have my money and obviously, don't care.

6 Months later they send bills. Bills of which I had no knowledge of ever suppose to get. Two office visits, and one Zoom visit and BOOM well over 1K just in office visits. Lets talk the CT scan that required, another 1K. What a waste. Know your upfront cost before proceeding. Understated what they will not tell you. I did not go with the operation, because after all that, they said the operation would cost up near 5K. Guess they will receive $10.00 a month from me.

TURN 180 DEGREES AND RUN! I only wished I had researched Yelp! before hiring Advent for my son's breathing issues. This outfit is a poster child for what is wrong with the American medical system. My son had a deviated septum procedure and we were charged 3-4 times what is normal and customary. Advice: never go to a surgeon who is connected to an independent surgery center, because you know they are in cahoots with each other.
I naively thought that my insurance company would serve as a buffer, however they paid the ridiculous bill and left me with a hefty co-pay. To make matters worse, I would rate my son's outcome as substandard. PLEASE! Don't fall for those warm and fuzzy advertisements. If you do, remember to get all costs upfront and match those to customary charges for the exact same procedure. My worst medical experience. Ever.

I was able to get my son in quickly for an appointment to address our concerns. They listened, the testing was quick and we got instant results and recommendations. No procedure needed. My mom then made an appointment, had an in office procedure and tells me often how she can now take a deep breath through her nose and can finally breathe. She had a cpap machine for years (from another doctor) that she was able to ditch due to being misdiagnosed from her primary doctor from years ago.
So glad she was diagnosed correctly and can breathe properly. All costs went through our insurance plan, so we paid what our insurance plan outlines for co-pays and deductibles.
